Great video . I have the same pin tool and was definitely using it wrong . Now i know . Secondly the way you dismantled the lock ,read the wafers and assembled it again was very informative. I need to replace my E46 lock and replace the wafers or swap the wafers from the old to the new . Thanx for the great video.
It's funny how i get at least 2 calls a week from customers with the same ( called locksmith and they screwed up ) from NYC. Why do locksmiths take on a job that they know nothing about?
Two biggest problems to me is people entering the trade with no training and trying to lean as they go and the scammers groups who don't care and will extort cash even on failed jobs.
Hey brother, do you have experience repairing a corrupted eprom on a front BCM for a 2007 Jaguar? This causes the dreaded “Smart Key Not Detected” issue. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
I have a screenshot in my photos that you sent me through ebay from October 23rd 2020. The photo is of the cluster all lit up & working. I'm assuming it's a photo that you sent me before shipping it out. The miles i had you put was 120,000. So it must've been October 2020 when i purchased it.
@ecurepair YT must've deleted it. I made two comments prior to this. I bought a 08 crown vic instrument cluster from you back in October 2020 & after about a year, it started working intermittently & and nowadays, it almost never works. The blinker arrows still light up every time I use them, though. But the blue LED backlight & gauges don't work.. every now and again they'll pop on for a second then turn back off.
@ecurepair the ebay account I used got hacked so I had ebay delete it for me. I told you the name of it on previous comments but I suspect that's why youtube keeps deleting my comments. Is there a better way I can get ahold of you?
I commented more info like 4 times now but my comments disappear.. thanks youtube!!! The ebay account I bought from was called 'key works' ending with '_va' & my account that's now deleted was my first name ending with '-253'
Thank you keyworks you guys are awesome..I watched a video on how to cut a key for my vw new beetle but this key was different not like in the video, that's why the spring was out because I tried many of time putting it back and I felled ..and I took my title of ownership to the dealership week later and they could not cut a key I thought this was going to be hopeless until I found keyworks thank you again .PS when are you going to send my new keys..lol I miss driving my beetle..happy camper here...Col.Charles Boling
Oh you did that? That makes more sense, I though you had said a locksmith did it. Glad to have been able to get it fixed up for you, let mw know if you have any issues with it!
Thanks for the info. Here in South Africa we only get the immobilizer versions. First time seeing Vw cluster without immobilizer.

The drill would be more for like hobbyist model kits or stuff like that. or real soft metals.

@ecurepair I try to learn as much as possible, and still, there are jobs I turn down because I'm not too confident about doing yet.
thank you very much 😊
For now on i will leave it to the professionals
Least if you want to try again you have a good video to follow !
