You sort of try to bridge connections between unconnected parts. You don't have to be too literal, you can suggest it. It's ultimately harmonizing. But one thing can say a lot more than many. And that's what you try to do as you get closer to the final stages of the drawing until every part is singing together.

I use mostly Clairefontaine Pastelmat or Grafix Drafting Film 🥰
