- Ireland, Monaco, the Netherlands, Austria and Norway voting at the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest.
Worth noting Finland's great start great, with 12 points from the Irish jury - which however will be not only their last full marks for the evening, but also their last for the next 29 years (until Lordi came along)! - เพลง
Besides Esc 2006, this is the only Esc in which Finland has held position 1 at some point.
TuomasLahteenmaki oli ihan muutaman sekunnin ajan johdolla myös aivan 1983 äänestyksen aluksi.
In 1974 Finland performed first at the running order.
cHoPin LiSzt Not performed first, they meant was in first position
Until 1980, the points were announced in accordance with the apperance order, not the ascending order...
Here are the results from TURKEY
AUSTRIA 1 POINTS
UNİTED KINGDOM 2 POINTS
SPAIN 3 POINTS
MONACO 4 POINTS
NORWAY 5 POINTS
BELGIUM 6 POINTS
GREECE 7 POINTS
FRANCE 8 POINTS
IRELAND 10 POINTS
FINLAND 12 POINTS
Israel's song is an unrecognized classic. Ilanit with "Ahava Hi Shir Lishnayim"
Finland got 12 and dead silence? Stupid order of announcement according performing orders anyway.
Quand l'Eurovision ressemblait encore à l'Eurovision...
This, in my opinion, is the best of the old-fashioned scoreboards in all Eurovision history before the digital ones made them obsolete. The smoothness of the voting, however, is another story; the incorrectness of the Dutch score is but the first of the mess-ups in the voting - by the end, 7 countries will show incorrect scores. Looks like Clifford Brown's losing his touch. :S "We're counting here," LOL!
GREECE 4 EVER
But don't you like to be 1 sometimes?
The Irish spokesperson introducing himself in Irish is honestly (given the context and history of it being 1977) such a power move!
That is an attractive scoreboard, first year to feature flags next to each country too. Merci Monaco + Austria for le douze points, Ireland are such swines for giving UK 0 pts! Did they not like us much back then? Dutch spokesperson is such a smartarse lol, Belgium would have to wait another 36 years to get 12 from neighbours The Netherlands. Well played to Norwegian jury giving that pile of shite from Sweden 0 pts, Scandinavians always vote fair and square and only give a high mark to one of their neighbours if they have a good song/performance.
+Jack Walker I love that scoreboard too, the best-looking pre-digital scoreboard in my opinion, along with the one in Harrogate in '82. Those flags do a lot for it.
On the proceedings here, Finland get their last 12 points for 29 years, Israel and Italy inexplicably share the lead with France after two rounds of voting (though Israel's song is lovely), and I am disappointed that not one person says 'Good evening, London.' The Dutch guy wins spokesperson of the year award, though.
I don’t think Ireland liked the United Kingdom much in the 70s, as it was the peak of the Troubles, wasn’t it? You’ve got to remember that the previous year in the Hague, the lowest score the United Kingdom received was 3 points and that was from Ireland (Italy gave 4, France gave 7 and the rest of the countries gave 8, 10 or 12).
Angela Rippon this year looks like Jan Leeming from 1982.
How long does it take for British jury Put right the wrong scores for the Netherlands. Clifford Brown. Prat.
The last Win for France? When will be the next? When France sends a Song in English.
Ah, yes, the best line of the night :-D And Angela Rippon didn't help matters with her frequent mixups, though I must say I symathize with her for trying to keep up with what was a confusing voting - plus, I also give her credit for the evening's 2nd best line (also in this part): "I seem to be having trouble with my deaf-aid here!" LOL!
Wow, oldschool TH-cam comment sections got mangled by whatever algorithm change messed it up huh lol
Oh my wow! Eurovision classic :D
Everyone so serious and technical problems making things that little bit looser - class :P
It's so funny how were the British reacting only after they heard the result in English
It is strange that the Dutch spokesperson could know how many points Netherlands had gotten at 4:29...
Wasn't there a rule that the juries couldn't hear and see the votings until their order came?
hukuk2004 The juries couldn’t know the jury spokespeople could now.
Mathema Solfegge The Best!!!!
Ireland so politically not giving any points to United Kingdom
How come the Netherlands knew how much they have ? the host always saying in the beginning that the juries are switched off and can't hear what the other juries are voting or how the scoreboard looks
Why got Netherlands only TWO points from Belgium, when the belgish spokesperson said THREE points?
A systematic failure, UK!
aaa ok i have had a dump momment:pp. they are announcing the votes based on the order of appearance. ok, it is not that a bad idea indeed.
Olin kuulevinani yleisöstä jopa naureskelua kun Suomi sai 12 pistettä? kun taas muut maat saa täysistä pointseistä suorastaan räjähtävät aplodit, ihme touhua
i love France
Thank you ^^
@@f0restsoob_ tu regardes miraculous😉 and thank you
certainly not Norway and Sweden finest hour both with 0 so far.
vive la françe
3 + 3 = 5 points at 2:55 ??? You're bad
And the myth of jurors not hearing the previous ones felt down in that moment.
what is this??? why are they announcing the votes without any order?? lmao :pppp
Until 1979, the countries announced the votes with accordance with appreance order.
why they tell the pointsl ike that and no 1,2,3 and 12,3,10,4
Until 1980, the votes were announced in accordance with the appearance order.
@@hukuk2004 not until 1980, until 1979.
Why?
Greek song
possibly the worst esc presenter ever
Trevor Thomas she says "Royaume-Uni" in a way that sounds like "ruajay yni"
Gigliola and Toto were the worst by far
The Swedish presenter from 1975 is one of my all time hated.
