It was because of the Edelweis Raid 2023. 10 countries were invited, including China, which is for the first time. The Chinese got the 3rd place, 2nd is Österreich, 1st is Deutschland. U.S. 8th btw.

Voor mij stond de RA 85185 jaren lang bijna als symbool voor het weekend,.............al werden er bij mij in de cockpit wel allerlei dingen genuttigd die in reallife garant zullen staan voor een jarenlange gevangenis straf....... in Rusland waarschijnlijk nog erger dan dat.......:D Deze Y-20 zou zomaar eens het eindresultaat kunnen zijn tussen een Il-76 en An-70 na een nachtje samen in de hangar........ Geweldige video weer!
Rudi van Goch, I've a comment to make. Especially for LANDING, if possible, try to take the plane slightly from the back angle, instead of directly from the side or front of the plane. I especially enjoy seeing the back edges of the main wings - the flaps? - some being blown upwards or others moving downwards, Straining Like Crazy to slow down the giant bird to a stop. I'm sorry I'm into planes and I do not know the technical terms for the wings' flaps. Are they called "leading edges" or something else, that too I'm not sure. I hope you understand me. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment! I understand what you mean. To film the plane like you mention, I would have needed a different spot. I could not find a spot which would work for me, mainly because of the high fences and I don't have a ladder. Okay eventually I filmed through a fence for the landing, but because the plane is not moving fast through the frame, it was possible to do it. But I have many video's on my channel. I definitly have footage on my channel where you can see the planes from the angle you mention.

Yes it is from the Chinese Air Force. 43 Chinese soldiers participated in the Edelweiss-Raid international mountain infantry competition organised by the Austrian Army. This plane flew them to Austria and came back to fly them home.

Not a huge aircraft, curvy copy of il-76 with smokey old russian engines and noisy by modern standards. Was probably picking up something for the russians in Turkey - dodgy! 🏴🇺🇦
Get rid of your arrogance please. It is one of combination of high techs and one of our real human arts, which also learnt from different better designs from different countries, like Wings of Russia YL76 and rear wing of America C17.
The short takeoff is impressive for such a gigantic plane.
If you think that’s short, it can do it even shorter, a lot shorter in fact.

Whatever it is they are dropping off or picking up, is none of shithole america's business.
It picked up Chinese soldiers who participated to a mountain climbing competition. The stop in Turkey was just for fuel.
