Well first of all, some videos haven't been up nearly as long. Also, there are a lot of videos that i do that not everyone has the same interest in. It's still content though and it still keeps things going on my channel.
Love those other crossover ideas! Imagine a General Lee that split into a Bo and Luke!
Reason why he's in the G1 style packaging and not current style packaging is because Ghostbusters and Transformers both began in 1984, it fits perfectly for the 35th Anniversary of both franchises :)
Nightmare on Elm Street is also celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Does this mean we're gonna get a red and green striped car that transforms into Freddy Krueger?

@@ratbat1072 Yup though hard to come by I guess, most are Takara. With the Grand galvatron set, the ghost MP and the Takara Octane set. I would prefer the deluxe one to go with him though. More in scale "if there is any"

It looks more like they used the same engineering transformation rather than reuse the parts. You can tell better since you have the figures, but at least from here it looks like the Ectotron is a bit smaller, even with the similar pieces. All in All I like how it looks, both in robot and vehicle mode! Thanks for the review!

When I first heard that this guy was coming out, I was like: What the heck?! Kinda strange combination between 2 franchises that are completely different, why would an Autobot want to catch ghosts? I like the idea, but it just feels very weird in my brain! Cool review as always, Paul!

I hope this new COLLABORATIVE line will continue to make further toys because of so many possibilities. We had that Star Trek/Transformers comic a short time ago, so I certainly wouldn’t mind a Leader class Enterprise transformer as seen there. The Back to the Future Delorean also seems like an obvious one to do.
Ectotron was available via Kapow Toys in the UK. My pre-order finally arrived a couple of days ago. He is completely stunning. I just wish the the goggles he's wearing could be pushed up on his head, just like Ray had in the OG movie.

It looks amazing. I love the head sculpt, especially, and how they molded in the goggles that we see Ray wear in the first film. And the car mode is amazing. It's so good looking that I think it could be passed off as a model of the Ecto-1 rather than a Transformer. Other than that, I don't feel this is worth $50. It's a borderline shellformer. Just looking at the photos of the figure, alone, you can tell where everything is supposed to go in order to transform it. Kind of disappointing, tbh. If this does lead to a subline of Transformers figures that turn into pop culture vehicles like the DeLorean, Mystery Machine, A-Team van, etc. then I hope they won't be this easy to transform.
Got this preordered, going to have to get the MP10 Ghostbuster edition too!

Great Review. Had they gone the combiner route they could have created Ecto-2 and Ecto-3 as deluxe vehicles, not sure what they'd use for the other two limbs though...???
That toy is awesome. Gonna have to get one! Will they be doing Knight Rider or the Dukes of Hazzard car, or the 80s Batmobile? DeLorean and Sooby Doo van too...

“I ain’t afraid of Starscream’s ghost.” I’m not as big of a Ghostbusters fan as you, I do have the two movies on DVD, For me it an Ecto-1 mech. I might get this in keep it in that mode.
I wouldn't of suggested the Ghost busters as deluxe limbs but...
It could of been neat to have emergency vehicles like the ones that escorted the team to the skyrise at the end of the film. Have a police car, regular ambulance, police motorcycle and police helicopter.

Great video. I love how simple the transformation really is, and how good it looks in robot mode. Definite get. Add me to any petition to have other famous TV/movie vehicles added to the roster. Mr. T's van, Herbie the Love Bug (that's and easy one), George Barris' 1955 Lincoln-Futura Batmobile, the "Homer" from the Simpsons (which would be a marvel of engineering to make that work), the Mach-5 and the Shooting Star from Speed Racer would all get my money.
The General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard would be great as well, but politics.
I really want a Megaempress. Didn't know I was getting her via my Ectotron that is on pre-order.. I would have liked to seen more tan on the robot mode, but I can live with this easy enough.

I hope Hasbro does a cross over with tron arcee would be a blue light bike megatron would be a tank and starscream would be a light jet

It's a crossover figure. I don't think it's meant to be apart of any sort of series. Just a collaborative type of thing between Ghostbusters and Transformers.
It is really astonishing how they remoulded this from the CW Onslaught figure

Batmobile is probably out since they'll never get the DC license.......Herbie the Love Bug would be easy.

i just found your channel i was thinking it would be awesome if they made a transformer out of the fire house like some of the bigger transformers like fortress maximus also for the vehicle modes for the ghostbusters they could use vehicles from the cartoon for each and or egon could be the containment unit as a transformer
