- Chief Justice of India Justice D Y Chandrachud spoke exclusively to PTI on the recent developments in the judiciary, including the judgement on Ram Mandir, criticism of Article 370 and same-sex marriage judgements and a variety of issues related to the Supreme Court and the functioning of the courts in India.
Justice Chandrachud for the first time responded to why the Babri Masjid Ram Mandir dispute judgement did not carry the name of the author of the judgement.
Speaking on same sex marriage judgement, Justice Chandrachud said as a judge he disassociates himself after the judgement.

Very Good interview. We get an inside view into the mind of the gentleman leading Indian judiciary. All is well. // The tug of war between Judiciary and Executive on appointment of SCI judges (Collegium System) is more or less settled. It is good that Justice Kaul was prevented from precipitating a show-down by fixing a time limit for Executive to act on judges recommended for appointment. // Now is the time for judiciary to issue bearing on filling of vacancies, creating more vacancies, and also building good infratructure for Courts. Judiciary has to nudge the governments as the latter are not bothered. I have visited Jaipur and Gurgaon district courts and they are heavily crowded for some reason. // Last but not the least - piling of cases. We need to start somewhere.

It is significant way sir mentioned some PENSION cases undertaken by THE HONOURABLE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA AND transparency of judiciary is the achievement of last year 2023.

Most important function of the judiciary is to give judicial verdicts without any fear or favour.Infortunately the Supreme Court and its CJI has not lived upto its expectation.
So being anti govt is without fear? They have to be fair and act as per constitution, not be pro or anti govt. Fully Support CJI
@@atuljain18 being a boot licker is not required, when central govt does something anti-national it's duty if court to rectify it. Like delhi constitution change is anti-national because it is not as per law to bring constitutional change without 75% majority. Hence it's almost 6 month but the court is not listing the case, which is shameful.

Arnab Goswami's bail plea heard the next day itself.and gave him bail. Which shows something! Guess ...what is that something. It's called affinity or fear!! Either or. Definitely not brave!! CJI reminds me the teachers pet, topper ,goody goody boy & the front bencher student we get to see in schools and colleges. They never say anything against their elders even though they have seen something wrong or know their bad behaviour!! Sincere boys!! Accha baccha!!

A very promising one
The live streaming of the constitutional bench has been immensely beneficial for me. Coming from a science background, it was completely alien to me. I am taken aback by how rigour and sound logic governs modern system of law making, thanks to the age of reason.

Sir,so many changes since done in justice system,which resulted justice seen to be done . But Ld SC may kindly take notice of those cases , which demolishing theme of constitution like Electoral Bond Case , investigation related to excessive use of Public Exchequer & selling of Govt Assets like case of Adani , destruction of right of people by way of capturing impartial activities of Election Commission ; needs a thorough examination in the light of constitution & pass necessary orders at the earliest to maintain constitution.

Sir, such cases in which democracy of India is under threat & people's elected Govts are being toppled ,Ld SC may give topmost priority in deciding & delivering the judgement like Electoral Bond case , topple of Maharashtra & others people elected Govts etc . Ld SC may give priority to punish the bureaucrats or Minister ,where Court has been misguided or supporesd the fact .like in case of Bilkis Bano . Without awarding punishment, the quantum of cases ,never be minimised.

न्यायपालिका वस्तुतः सत्य को ही रिप्रेजेंट करती है।न्याय ही सत्य है। सत्य ही ज्ञान है।बिना सत्य को जाने किसी भी जजमेंट को देना ही असत्य है,उसे न्याय नहीं कहा जा सकता।ऐसे जज जो सत्य की अवहेलना करते हैं चाहे अपनी अयोग्यता के कारण,स्वार्थवश या फिक्स्ड विचारों मान्यताओं के कारण।क्या उन को दंडित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए?
सत्य के लिए सामने वाले को अपनी बात को ,अपने प्रमाण को प्रस्तुत करने का मौका नहीं दिया जाना ,क्या ऐसे जजों को कठघरे में खड़े नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।
ऐसे जज नए अविष्कारों को स्वीकार करने में सबसे बड़ी रुकावट है।कृपया जा उचित समझे,इस पर अपना मंतव्य दे।
