I’ve got nearly 1000 hours in Rocksmith 2014 and while there is a slight learning curve to associating strings with different colors it’s been a fantastic way to learn my favorite songs. The game will automatically change your guitar’s tone to match the song throughout, so you can just focus on playing the guitar and if you hit the right notes on time you sound just like the recording. Sometimes I’ll use a different pickup on my guitar just to standout a little more from the recording if I’m feeling it. Riff repeater is one of my favorite features as you can slow the song down and gradually speed up as your accuracy increases, which makes learning complicated solos or getting your timing just right on chord transitions much easier. R14 had video lessons and exercises that are made into pixelated arcade games but honestly haven’t played them much. Rocksmith 2014 remastered is way better. If you use rocksmith you need to use the real tone cable for the computer as well. It's like guitar cable but it plugs directly into the computer. It reads the notes better. You are missing the notes because the app is garbage.
RS+ suffers from the same problem that RS2014 did. Note detection. Its pretty good at it but its not perfect. You can play a song note perfect, like one you've been playing for years before the game ever came out and it will still say, "miss" on some notes. It does the same thing with chords. You could absolutely leave off parts of bar chords or even major/minor notes off the end of them and it will still count the note as correct. You could even play the chord as charted but still get the miss. Which can be an immense pain in the ass if you're in the middle of a strumming pattern in 4/4 but every few notes the game decides you had a "miss." There are a few ways around this, biggest one being using a realtone cable and changing your mic monitoring on that to hyper sensitive. Just plugging the cable in, windows sets the default at 35 but for best performance you have to manually override that every single time you plug in that cable. You also have to deselect the other checkbox(can't remember what it was called) in the mic setting for it otherwise it won't work as well as it should. The biggest fault the games have is their note detection. Every other aspect is fine because they have a tutorial for EVERYTHING.

I recommend looking into how to get RockSmith 2014 even though there isn't on steam anymore. So many features are missing from Rocksmith 2014, and the song library is volatile. I'd rather tell someone to pirate a now abandoned game then pay a subscription for least then the previous product. Or take my words with a gain of salt and buy for a few months instead of the year plan. I only say this because there are reports of Ubisoft charging even when people canceled their 1 year plan after deciding to drop it.
Can you even trust a company who doesn't offer their products for every type of Mac that has ever been built and every type of OS from the beginning of time until forever ends? No, you can't.
Rocksmith 2014 remastered (PC version) is a way better value. their tone cable cost as much as the game. A 3rd party cable was $13 vs $36. plus those cdlc songs have better arrangements and more variety of songs. I haven't even played it in a long time to be honest. would be more fun if there was a multiplayer versus or something. or some kind of collab thing you could do with it.
RockSmith 2014 remaster was unlisted and you can no longer buy it on PC. The only way to still play 2014 is if you buy a second hand physical copy of it for the Xbox or PlayStation.

People playing Rocksmith sounds awful, not you, everyone. I'd like to hear your genuine opinion about it as a learning utility when you're spaced further from the advertisement, 'cause I'm pretty sure it doesn't teach music, and I'm certain that if you need a game to motivate you to play music, you just aren't going to be playing music.
You hit the nail on the head. There are so many apps and games for learning musical instruments and it's all bullshit. There are no shortcuts. Stuff like this will only make you sound robotic. It will not teach you the most important things in music: how to listen, how to play with feeling and a sense of rhythm, how to phrase melodies, etc. The whole concept behind games like this is utterly unmusical. Buddy at this rate we’re lick if we get 5 vids a year from this guy
Loved the vid Brandon 😂
Made me feel better playing this game 😁
i got you guys with rocksmith 2014 + all the dlc if you guys want it. reply and ill send a link
Maybe you should have used the tuner... Ya never know sir.
Pro guitar teacher would have taken this seriously. This video didn't help me on if this is better then the other 2 Rocksmith titles.
3:21 That's ok. As we all know, Sting is impossible to understand.
This bro has to be born in 1999
60% difficulty is actually more difficult than 100% difficulty, believe it or not
This guy comes across as a complete douse.
Learning a song in two days is not the same as mastering a song in two days.
EPIC
The tablature mode is way better.
click bait... the video says "pro"
bro I'm watching this video going with 5150 views, that's sweet
Rocksmith tuning is often a bit off. That is likely why you're missing so many notes.
It gives you the percentage of the song played. If dynamic difficulty is on and you only play 50% of the song, you only get 50% accuracy.
@@oridotexe No shit. And if it thinks your out of tune then it does not register the note as played.
The issue you're likely experiencing is that you may have fallen out of rhythm with the app. It's annoyingly easy.
Don’t hurt yourself patting yourself on the back too hard. You’re not a pro guitar teacher dude😂
Turning music into a video game. Bollocks.
you leave my fkn smokes alone
looking like I will be on the 365 day plan lol
I recommend looking into how to get RockSmith 2014 even though there isn't on steam anymore. So many features are missing from Rocksmith 2014, and the song library is volatile. I'd rather tell someone to pirate a now abandoned game then pay a subscription for least then the previous product. Or take my words with a gain of salt and buy for a few months instead of the year plan. I only say this because there are reports of Ubisoft charging even when people canceled their 1 year plan after deciding to drop it.
I appreciate ur review. Have a sub
this is not how you play cowboys from hell 💀
Oh this is interesting
youur a pro grifter great job
exactly
Can you even trust a company who doesn't offer their products for every type of Mac that has ever been built and every type of OS from the beginning of time until forever ends?
No, you can't.
I prefer Rocksmith 2014 for its infinite library of custom DLC.
Told you it was time to take on sponsors!
He called Wake Me Up When September Ends a "classic" oh fuck oh jeez I'm so old
Rocksmith 2014 remastered (PC version) is a way better value. their tone cable cost as much as the game.
Rocksmith 2014 is goated. Way better than this and was around when brandon was a beginner cos there was one before even that!
He has been pretty quiet on the channel lately, is everything ok with him?
had to dig up an old Xbox 360 just so I could load up the old rocksmith... they made a crappy product with a subscription and then shut down access to the old games...
Uhm guys chy to freddy fazbear?
People playing Rocksmith sounds awful, not you, everyone. I'd like to hear your genuine opinion about it as a learning utility when you're spaced further from the advertisement, 'cause I'm pretty sure it doesn't teach music, and I'm certain that if you need a game to motivate you to play music, you just aren't going to be playing music.
100%
You hit the nail on the head. There are so many apps and games for learning musical instruments and it's all bullshit. There are no shortcuts. Stuff like this will only make you sound robotic. It will not teach you the most important things in music: how to listen, how to play with feeling and a sense of rhythm, how to phrase melodies, etc. The whole concept behind games like this is utterly unmusical. I really don't understand why people buy into this nonsense.
I played for 5 years and hit a ceiling, Rocksmith helped me pick up guitar again. And you sound good when you actually put more hours in it, just look at guys like chainbrain on yt.
You are supposed to sound bad in the beginning.but as you improve you not only get better but you sound better. Music is something you sound bad in the beginning but as you go alone you sound better.
@hansmahr8627 you know nothing. You need to watch audrey123talks both girls have a great sound. It's all about how you practice sound comes later to sound the best you can.
They don’t have any of the guitar solos I wanna learn… Gotta stick to TH-cam
Seems like trying to learn guitar by drinking from a firehose.
The doo spanx u
The hardest thing to do with Rocksmith is cancel your subscription
Sandstorm by darude
The app's cool but I'd rather stick with yousician...
Rocksmith 2014 CDLC beats them all
@@xBlackShadowsZz fax
BRUH ... you look like christian bale from bizarro guitarro universe.. 🤣 he just plays a different type of axe ... 😆🤘🤘🤘 babababapapaa bababapapaapaa .. runrunrunrunrun ....psycchokiller.. 😆
rocksmith 2014 is way better but they took it off steam
Pirate Rocksmith 2014 Remastered
Download CDLC
Don't pay for this poor excuse of a "game"
What a horrible app. Those animations drive me nuts
Do yourselves a favor don't get rocksmith+, get rocksmith 2014 instead.
They ruined RS with RS+. RS14 is a million times better considering you can download custom songs.
RS+ has a lot of songs, but because permits are so expensive now it's mostly shit songs no one has heard about or live covers of popular songs. It's fucking ass
Guitar teacher shows his lack of vocab.
Wow Rocksmith+ looks like a steaming pile compared to Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014. You'd way way better off not using Rocksmith + especially considering there's a monthly subscription maybe your money would be better spent on guitar lessons.
When bruh has his guitar face on at the beginning he looks like blonde Patrick Bateman
Oh wow another generic guitar teacher with an asinine personality and no originality. Sums up the old adage "Those who can't do, teach" perfectly.
And those who can't teach, teach gym.
@@TylerLL2112 The only class this guy could teach is self masturbation. I thought MusicisWin was one of the most punchable faces in the guitar sphere. This clown is like the Logan Paul of guitar.
... U talk more play less.. Whats the use of reviewing the app that way..
Brooooo you should've done waaayyy better!! You on the cigarettes?!?!?!😂😂😂😂🚫🚬
