9:50 Yeah, it's directly related with the length of the strings. By decreasing the length of the strings but keeping the same spacing between frets, you change the ratio of the spacing , which makes intervals bigger and totally imprecise (and that's why the bends are bigger too). You basically have almost a whole octave divided in four frets, which normally should be 12.

I think the reason you can’t get sharps and the tone changes so much is because you took top frets and moved them into a bottom fret position. On a normal guitar as you get closer to the pickups the space between the frets becomes smaller and smaller. So just add more frets to sub divide the tone.

Stevie, this video was wildly entertaining! Had some suspense (is he actually going to defile that neck?!), some horror (OH MY GOD, HE'S DOING IT-and with ONE HAND!!!), and a nice little concert at the end. Aha, John and Bill seem like awesome people. And I suddenly don't feel terrible for changing my strings only when they're tarnished and corroded to all hell. 🥲 Thanks for another laugh! 🤘🎸😂
This is classic. Great stuff. Would be an interesting guitar for surf or ambient music
9:20 Not gonna lie, That was actually 🔥!
Never been a fan of Eddy Sharron but I might pick me up one of these Shred Sharron Guitars!
8:00 That guitar literally sounds like those plastic gun toys that would make those weird alarm sounds after it made those gun shot sounds.
I feel like it more sounds like the opening of O Green World by Gorillaz 😂
I seriously love your videos they make everything better
More weird guitar builds and more of this guy lol, great video.
I find ur vids really entertaining, keep it up xx
10:10 Jesus...your Nails screaming for Help Brother😂
can you stop yellin at me bro its 11 pm
lol
Real
I agree
its 4am right now
It’s 9:11 in my country
This video. I love it! You could've just got the guitar and played it and made a video but I love how the whole process is showed. Also I love John, he's pretty fun 😂 Great video, Stevie!
I had to check if my string pack had Steves name there. It was!
Hilarious that you're an amazing guitarist but I was shocked how little you know about the construction of guitars! lol Wow, I know more about guitars than SteveT. No one would believe me if I said that. Great episode, been watching the show for years. Super nice guy and amazing talent. Good guys do finish first. Congratulations on all your success.
As a crafts person, I can't help but think of all the better ways they could have done this....
But I'm glad they did it this way.
07:35 I got "take your f#kin' toy and get the hell outta my store kid" vibes
It's the Squier Scrotalcaster! 😂
This guitar honestly sounds kind of cool in a really lo-fi, "slackerish" sort of way. 10:34 sounds exactly like if Pavement tried to cover Ed Sheeran!
10:26 "I've heard better sounds come out of my BUT..." 😂
I saw that meme on Reddit. Lol. I can't believe you mutilated a guitar for it to sound like that in the end. 😭💀 Although it does look really cute in small form. I was a bit nervous when you were about to operate the saw. I was like.. he better wear safety glasses! (I didn't want you to hurt yourself). 😅 This was a really fun and unique idea for a video though! It's nice to see you out and about in different scenery once and a while. It seems like every guitar store you go to the people there are always super cool and friendly. 😊
The Ed Sheeran custom is kinda cute isn't it!!? I did get a spark on the hand. That was about the extent of my injuries! 🤣
9:15 R2D2??? lol
You can definitely use it in a gag solo in a psychedelic rock song. It has abit of a tabla vibe too. You can make something goofy but catchy with it. I like how every note is detuned.
0:55 Luckily I'm also a carpenter.... "Tablesaw" to cut his "banjo" 😆
yea i was like that’s i miter saw (i’m mexican)
Yeah, it's directly related with the length of the strings. By decreasing the length of the strings but keeping the same spacing between frets, you change the ratio of the spacing , which makes intervals bigger and totally imprecise (and that's why the bends are bigger too). You basically have almost a whole octave divided in four frets, which normally should be 12.

8:47 Minecraft bell sound
Love how steive attitude does not change no matter where he is
Hi, Steve! This kinda reminds me of your toy guitar video! 😂 That must have been a good learning experience for you. Does it make you wanna try building guitars yourself? I tell you, Ed Sheeran’s songs sure sound different on the radio than from his “signature” guitar. You think he’s a guifakist? 🤔 😂 I finished the flag blanket, they both loved it. Great video, have a wonderful day! 😃
Very similar to the toy guitar!! Even in terms of sound, and overall unplayability! 🤣
Maybe you should make an Ed Sheeran signature blanket. With way less stitches? 🤔
@@SteveTerreberry Great idea! 😂
Thank you, Steve quite a while ago I joined a band in my school and tomorrow I’ll be playing live. I the only reason this occurred is because of you I would’ve learnt a guitar without you so thank you for your inspiration.
Now what you need to do is bring this guitar into Glenn Fricker’s studio and watch his absolute meltdown of a reaction! 😂😂😂😂
Yeah, I can see his glasses fog up and his hair turning into an Afro.
