Mad respect for Steve. I can totally relate to having that "Im not stopping until I beat you" mentality. Despite having negative chances at actually succeeding.
You struggled so hard to not compare anybody to Frieza that you forgot that Ryu and Ken s Bison was a thing which is more on brand. Helpful note: if you feel the need to use Jiren for any measure of comparison, you might have already whiffed the impact of the statement.
I remember hearing that version of Sakura sometimes referred to as "Sunburned Sakura". Which could make her Demon "Sun Burn Satsu", so you could say Doom got BURNED.
I saw this some time after seeing him do a vid featuring his chat challenging him to find TOD combos for low-tier, off-tier, and semi-random personal teams they themselves use. I'm sure there could be a team or two that were edited out that he couldn't pull it off with, but even after showing how much he struggled to pull it off with one team he managed to pull it off with every team suggested. When the guys tried to challenge him by throwing these random weird teams at him, I was thinking "You don't know what you're in for".
Today really was a treat. Matches between Yipes and Justin followed by even more matches between Justin and the doods. Mahvel is so back and it's so good
Really? You're in for a treat then. Classic vintage capcom presentation, spritework, music/themes composed by capcom back in their "Q sound" days and great sound effects.
I can't wait to play this with my two best friends of 30 years. We used to run "theme team" matches. Only helmets. Only capes (Jin/Strider scarf counts to us after many arguments). Boots/Barefoot/Mechanical. Weapons (guns, swords, staff... bone). Animal/Human/Otherworldly only yada yada. Sometimes we would do "no assist" matches that would ALWAYS have at least one "accidental" assist. It will be a joy to relive that.
I am watching YoVideoGames play MvC2 with Justin Wong in the year of our Capcom 2024. I have the biggest dumb smile on my face. So stoked to get my hands on this collection.
Shoutout to everyone that joined that stream. This all gives me hope that one of my favorite franchises has a chance to get a new iteration and I know it'll take this kind of energy and support to make it happen. This is truly that one reality.
The only thing I wish that they would put in is like a dedicated vs mode where you can select the stage or both players can reselect characters, other wise still excited for this
That's the main problem with "Arcade perfect" direct ports; even if the core gameplay is at its most faithful, often they don't have the useful features and modes old home releases would have.
I think is the same, and that means that DBFZ crew is like we have to return the favor to the series that made us a success... or something like that (yes... despite kicking the crap out of MVCI... sorta, because Disney themselves had already done the job to make their game a failure).

@Maximillian Dood Seems good! Not sure if this was an oversight, even thou it is arcade version, it appears that the Dreamcast music is used instead of the Arcade version. For instance, the Industrial stage, right after the vs screen, the music should start right away, not like half a second later, which is consistent of the Dreamcast, and also the way the song ends before the loop also reflects that.
