STEP 1 should be: Locate studs in wall. If you drill into the edge of a stud, you cant use an anchor and you can't use a screw. You must patch the hole and restart the project. Please be aware folks.

I can't seem to get one of the brackets to mount on the wall! The allen screw won't catch the part on the wall! Anyone else have this problem? Beyond frustrating!

I couldnt make mine work either. I got all the way to screwing in with the Allen wrench, after 5 min of awkward angle of twisting...it would just fall off. Or the set screw would go all the way through. I took it back for some different kind of clip.

HMMM-- be nice if any of this stuff actually arrived with my Moen towel bar kit. My kit arrived with no screws, no brackets, no Allen wrench and no template. Sloppy assembly of a product is one of the "nicer" words that come to mind. Very disappointed.

jason8870 Good point, but you could use small wood screws to fasten the hanger directly to the stud.

The decorative bracket came loose and I'm having a heck of a time getting that little set screw back in place .

My Allen wrench was stuck inside the brackets. So I needed an Allen wrench to get the Allen wrench.
