I just took my board apart tonight and switched back to the FR4 plate after starting out with the aluminum one. I also went with the sleeve gaskets and did a full tape mod to the back of the PC board. I really like shine-through keycaps, so I went with a budget set off of Amazon. I'm pretty sure if I installed the Nuphy keycaps the board would sound even better than it does now. Overall, I am very happy with my first build!
I forgot to mention, I also went with the black board and raspberry switches. They feel very similar to the Cowberry switches I use on my Nuphy Air75v2, which is my travel board.
I really hope you are not forcing yourself to record videos and it seems strange to me that there is no one talking about the loss of your grandfather. I know we all grieve in different ways, and if making videos helps you, I'll support you. I'm just worried about you, I love your content and I don't want to see you bad. You don't have to be sad because he left, you have to be happy because he's in a better place and would like to be remembered with joy, an emotion that I suppose represented him a lot, along with all those moments he gave you. For 150$ you get a lot with it, i have a relic 80 and i didnt get much more than that (except for a fancy case😂) for 650$, its good to see how good value keyboard have become nowadays

Any keyboard connoisseurs can help me with a question: I have an old Corsair kb with cherry mx reds, couple of switches broken but not all. If I desolder the functioning switches (I have equipment at home already), can I salvage them to use in a keyboard kit like this?
im almost positive any switches can go into this keyboard kit , so as long as they’re all in good shape you can put cherry switches into this kit! almost certain ~

I have a KBD75 V2 that I custom built. I got a brass plate for it which was the main reason I went for it over other 75%s and I went for Kailh Box Jades for the switches. It is loud as shit and I love it so much. I also took the time to holey mod the durock screw in stabs I bought for it and it was so worth it. All in all my keyboard ran me $400 USD and I regret nothing. I even went and flashed custom QMK firmware to make my keyboard light up in lesbian and trans pride colors. It was worth every penny.
i think it’s basically considered hunt & peck technique LOL but maybe i should stop bc some people in the comments are telling me it’s bad for my hands to type this way :o

I like how you are one of the few asmrtists that uses mechanical keyboards for keyboard sounds videos.
The 2 caps holes are for the 2 types of Caps keycaps. One stepped and one standard, each needs a different switch placement.
