@@shanester1832 Way better than I remember. Pan fried with spicy mustard and asiago cheese stuffed potatoes from my restaurant, and a dose of chili on the side. A winning combination. 🤘 BTW, I feel fat now.
@@ascensionindustries9631I'm for real happy for you. I love the occasional can of Spam. I love fried Spam and peanut butter with sliced pickles sandwiches.
I remember them best for Frisbees. I do remember magic sand which was still being sold in the mid-80s, but never wanting it more than a Star Wars or GI Joe action figure.
magic sand was pretty cool....but mostly it just made a big mess. the wham-o-rang was cool to...after a bit of practice it would come back to you but mostly you just had to chase it a half mile..
I forgot about that! I don't know why, but now I remember the days of the Super-Soakers. Do they still makes those? Those things were like water hoses, some of them!
Hell yeah the green machine I had one but it was a Batman version of The Green Machine you talk about awesome I know you get it all the time but damn, Thanks for the Memories Junkman
@stevedenis8292 it's an awesome jingle! Nick put out a mini line of Ren & Stimpy PVC figs. And it has... Log! Picked it up just for that. And Powdered Toast Man.
Junkman I love these videos. Lol. I been sitting around rearranging my action figures and cleaning the shelves while binging your old videos. Seen your boy had to get surgery a couple years back. Hope everything went well and he's doing well. Keep them funny videos coming. Your the best!
Never had any Wham-O toys, but I remember those commercials. Found an Air Blast Gun at a Sal Val years ago and sold it. They made some of the most dangerous toys of all time. The Water Wiggle was actually banned for killing a kid.
1:15 "Poke-A-Bone...Try'n catch ALL THE BONES" I wonder if any grandparents thought their grandkids were talking about this when they were talking about Pokemon and "Gotta Catch 'em All". 3:07 It looks like Shrinky Dinks combined with an Easy Bake Oven. 6:59 I remember seeing the Magic Sand around at my grandma's house but I never actually played with it and never knew what it was. 10:07 When I was a little kid my family went to a campground and some other kid I didn't know just showed up without his parents and started showing off his plastic bubbles. I thought it was weird that the kids parents weren't watching him. 12:19 I looked up the commercial for Nutty Knotter and it's some kind of magic trick, I guess.
Magic Window was fascinating and relaxing when it worked. But they quickly dried up on the inside, turning the crystal plasma dry and making the thing useless
I own that Slip'n Slide in box, still has the shrink on it. It was opened and used. Got it from my childhood friend. Really liked to watch his older sis go for a slide....
Poke-a-bone tag line is "A fun SKILL game." I guess you held the thin piece and tried to get all the bones onto it one-handed. Like a more complicated cup-and-ball
My older cousin married this dude who worked for NASA and he gave us all this toy he invented for Christmas 85 it was like this little plastic thing looks alot like the turbo tube you would throw it and it would do loops I really didn't get it? It really wasn't that fun you would just have to run after it to try to find it after you threw it 🤔
Slip n Slide was fun and all but my buddies and I wanted something more. That’s when we discovered the pool cover my buddy’s parents had, that’ll work! We took that off laid it on the grass, turned the hose on and covered the whole thing in dish soap for sliding purposes. Best time ever… until his parents came home of course!
Superball came out in the mid-sixties. It was the size of a golf ball and black. Now, they come in various colors and are called "bouncy balls". Wasn't the hula hoop made by Wham-O?
My brother had lime green magic sand & I got blue or purple. I think it made a come back in the mid 80s. My brother dumped his in the G I Joe fort/base, that he had. There was a space, with his G I Joe figures..and, it looked like they were "drowning" in it..I also remember the bottle-it stood out
I remember going to a K-Mart around the time Empire Strikes Back was out and there was a big display of magic sand. I was only 3 or 4 and going to the store was a big deal since we lived in a very tiny town. I’ve still never seen it out of a bottle IRL, but I’ve always wanted to see what it was like. I know they make similar things now, but I’ve never gotten around to buying any.
water wiggle was dangerous causing many injuries Superelasticbubbleplastic in the 60s would burn the tip of your tongue. Superball would bounce so high it would disappear I probably bought a dozen.
Yea man I was 13 and master of them red boomerangs. They will break slappin flat on the street. Ive had two. Wish they still made it like the weight they made it then , today.
You take your Turbo Tube and work it into a Wet Weenie, declare "It's Willie!" then play Poke A Bone (you might need a tube of Slip'N'Slide if your girlfriend is old) until it shoots its Super Stuff from your Super Ball...then afterward do the Water Wiggle til it looks like it has been in the Shrink Machine. If you had to pay for the experience, make sure you wear a Superelasticbubbleplastic (not to brag, but I had to use the larger Super Balloon) and kick her out quick afterward, even if you have to open a window play Frisbee with her Horseshoes afterward if she forgot em. Sometimes, if you want to get crazy, you can make a film of her doing a Nutter Knotter with Fido.
What a great time for creativity! I doubt any of these would get made today. Toys today are pretty lame and unimaginative. I might be judging harshly, but all I've seen is plastic crap and licensed plastic crap.
Ah, the good old days when companies would get rid of poisonous industrial waste by calling it a toy and selling it to kids! Remember the Science sets that came with a piece of real Uranium? I wonder why..? That's a Free Market for you, you don't just pay your money and take your choice, you pay your money and take your chances... 💀😂
@acrodave9287 I had a massive chemistry set with mercury. Flames galore from the burner. I had a glass blowing set too. Ohhh. The good ole days because any day could be your last. Wouldn't have had it any other way.

You run, you slide, you hit the ramp, and take a dive, Super crocodile mile by Wham-O.
Oops that slide was from Marchon
I had a Slip n Slide. The best part was a slight dip in the hill of my back yard, which made it more fun than just a straight yard.
Speaking of retro stuffs, I bought my first can off Spam as an adult today. Some coworkers were talking about it, and thought WTF, why not.
I'm curious how you like it. It's one of those things I buy every 10 years or so to see if I'm missing out on something.
Not a big fan nor spam hater.
Gross but my daughter likes it

It's great catfish bait.
ROFL -- Don't bounce your blue ball too much or your magic sand will disappear!
I also had the big wheel with the brake . Always wanted the big green machine ,but not now id be scared what would show up .
Yes the big green machine! Every time I seen the commercial I freaked! The big wheel was great though pull that brake and spin out! Love it
I remember seeing commercials for the seat scooters. At Six Flags, they had a section where it was just kids driving those.
The Flurry was Wham-O's answer to the Slinky.
Yeah the slip n slide you know it had to be safe if it had the Good Housekeeping seal of approval on it hahaha 😂🤣
I had the clown it had a hat that shot up and spray water
I too had that clown and was hypnotized by its hat trick.
I remember Magic Sand but we weren't allowed to have any.

I forgot about that! I don't know why, but now I remember the days of the Super-Soakers. Do they still makes those? Those things were like water hoses, some of them!
I had a green Nerf Boomerang. It never worked like in the commercials.
I remember wamo
I think I got Brain damage from Super Elastic Bubble Plastic
Yeah, but my kids all have mutant superpowers.
Hell yeah the green machine I had one but it was a Batman version of The Green Machine you talk about awesome I know you get it all the time but damn, Thanks for the Memories Junkman
Ren & Stimpy with the Blammo fake ads would crack me up. It was the perfect parody of Wham-O.
It's Log ,it's log, it's big it's heavy it's wood. I can not stack firewood with out thinking of this .
@stevedenis8292 it's an awesome jingle! Nick put out a mini line of Ren & Stimpy PVC figs. And it has... Log! Picked it up just for that. And Powdered Toast Man.
That show paved the way for a lot of stuff we got today. Both good and bad.@@captlazer5509
I loved...LOVED my Air Blaster as a kid in the 70s! I still own a rifle style Wham-O crossbow! Didn't Wham-O also make inflatable boxing gloves?
I know someone does
A toy company that had some hits and misses. Saw some stuff from them in the 90’s at Family Dollar.
Instant Fish was also my favorite Barney Miller spin-off
we had a Slip n Slide we used bricks to hold it down and try not to slide into them
OMG Junkman, that was HILARIOUS! My stomach hurts from laughing! The names of some of those toys and the descriptions!
why didnt you show the slip and slide!?! probably the most popular toy they ever made!
I did
Yep i remember slip and slide . Didnt have it long because i did the spilts .
I remember some of these things, Great upload As always Junkman. 🍻
Wham-O frisbees always remind me of John Candy in Summer Rental. "Your wife's on my Wham-O."
10:35 - Small tubes and straws of that used to be in gum ball machine bubbles for 25 cents. They are very flamable too.
RIP Waylon Jennings.
Super ball is actually how they came up with the name superbowl….
Had slip n slide knock off called Wet Banana.
Is the "Shrink Machine" Shrinky-Dinks? I remember those.
😂 That Super Ball was dangerous and did some serious damage!
Over the house and through the neighbours window. Good times! 😅
I can still smell that super elastic bubble plastic!

I had wet banana instead of slip n slide. The sprinker attachment was a banana 🍌
Monster magnet , if you need to wipe a hard drive fast
That Fantasy Frisbee looked awesome. I would still buy those Stained Glass looking flying Disc if Whammo sold them today
I had that Magic Wave toy. It was a sand-like material and the plastic was very durable. It was pretty neat.
The shrink machine was just a way to make Shrinky Dinks. You grew up in the 80s and didn't know Shrinky Dinks?

Magic sand became Squand in the 90s
