Considering the graphics overall seems about a full decade behind technology-wise - no fancy shaders, no insanely high-poly models, etc - the visual fidelity they managed to achieve is miraculous. Just the sheer amount of neon signs alone did wonders to visually populate the area. And everything seems so natural...compare this to, say, Hengsha in Deus Ex Human Revolution (I love both games but still) you can see the amount of effort that went into Yakuza is on a whole different level.
I wouldn't say 6 looks better than 0. Dragon Engine has this glossy look that will age even more badly than 0. Also the shot composition and directing in 0's cutscenes is better too. Overall 0 is still the best looking Yakuza game imo (the second is Ishin). It's more cinematographic and it does it without sacrificing the gameplay, which many people also consider to be the best in the series.
I just wish we could explore more of the interiors in the Yakuza series! Every time I play a new entry I find myself thinking, "I want to go into that building!", I guess that's my inner Shenmue fan lmao
0's a good place to do it. 0, Kiwami (remake of 1), Kiwami 2, and 6 are all on PS4 with Japan having confirmed 3, 4, and 5 ports. It's a good time to get into it.
tiny tiny nitpick, but i wish the weather and time of day were more consistant. i havent ever played this game so i dont know how possible this would be but if all these shots were from the same time of day it would have created more of a feeling of doccumenting a location instead of feeling like various unconnected shots of a city
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
Other Places you should do Nier Automata next
Thank you. I genuinely mean that, I love this series.
That's rad.
Other Places I wish they keep doing so! Keep being awesome!
Good to see you back!

Art > tech, always.
Well, they made it so much better in yakuza 6. At least 0 been developed as ps 3 game.

I just love these ambient tours of game worlds. Great work!
Oh wow, this brings me back to our home in Osaka ... and nights spent along Dōtonbori!
Thank you. Your videos are some of my favorite things and give me a deeper appreciation of videogames

Great addition to the series, transition work was top notch
I just bought this game as someone recommended it; now having seen the video I can't wait to immerse myself in it!
Never played any of the Yakuza games but this makes you want to start..

I know it's based on Osaka, but it brings me back to Japan! Thanks for your videos.
Wow. I felt like I was there watching that.
Excited to see these 2 location remastered in Kiwami 2 next week!

I've missed you.
Hey, it’s good to be back
Thanks for your work !
As if I didn't already want to go to Tokyo. They should hire this hire the person who made this video to do promos for Japan tourism
Well the scenes you see here are what Tokyo night life in the 80s and 90s looks like. Not present day Tokyo.
beautiful!
Another Great video!!
Maybe you think to do one about Titan Station (Dead Space 2) ;)
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD... YOU'RE BACK!
beautiful

Super 👍
Nice!
It’s been a while since your last.
OMG!
Thanks!!
Trippy vid :)
At last!
wow!!!
I know that I probably won't get a reply but, what's the name of the music that was used in this? I know it's from Yakuza O.
How do you make these videos anyway? Is it a different process for every game?
with a free camera then adds music and ofc disabling all the hud
How did u get rid of the UI? I tried First person mode but it still got a tiny dot on the middle and looks pixelated, this looks crisp.
thumb up
wait till 6 hits pc when it comes to night time best looking thing i've seen on ps4 cant imagine pc
