So this guy you can tell lifts weights, has some body fat, but for most women in the west would say he's in good shape. In Asia, they barely care about muscle - its just height and leanness and skin colour. They just see a little body fat, ignore his muscle, and say he's fat.
So if you date for western women, have muscle and look good. In asia, be pale and be slim.

I lift weights and I have a bit of extra fat. You can't see my 6 pack, but my Thai girlfriend really likes that I am bigger and more muscular than the average guy. It really depends on the woman.
She doesn't mind that I have a little fat, as long as I don't turn in to a whale, wich is difficult, 'cause she always wants to feed me.😅
