I don't understand, why pakistani sees only indian channels that to in order to understand their economic crisis? Sisters, if a country wants to stand up on its two feet, it has to start from its own house. Things begin from the top and percolate down. Your rulers will have to set an example of austerity. You have to reduce your debt burden by increasing the tax base. That would mean inviting businesses to invest in the country, encourage indigenous production of several things of daily use, ensure the subsidies reach the actual beneficiaries and ask the rich to contribute more to the tax kitty. Meanwhile, the country has to stay out of all confrontations, make friends and create a perception that you want the welfare of your own people. For example, Pakistan, to begin with, must stop import of non-essential goods. You have a fertile land, invite experts from across the border from India, they would tell you how to increase soil productivity. Apply land consolidation --- distribute land among the tillers, not among the rich. Take effective measure to reduce or control population. It takes decades of perseverance and consistency of policies to show results. Pakistan must put its religious baggage aside, and follow its own constitution and law rigorously. That's the only solution.
