I'm not sure you got her point. If you are American, then you are either Caucasian (white), African (black), Asian or Hispanic.
The relevance of what is said is exactly what Wode Maya is promoting for the blacks in western countries to identify with their Motherland and this lady is trying to make us know that she is also an Africa diaspora but American breed. So I don't see what is wrong with what she said.
Truly you are American either white or black but with regards the relevance of this video you can say you are African American, then it would mean you are learning about your people and perhaps one day you will make the long journey back home even if for a visit.

I am Congolese and I lived in Namibia from 2001-2004. Namibia is the best country in Africa. These people don't go to other countries looking for citizenship, like the West and the Central African countries. I really respect African countries like Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, and Namibia.
Their accent is very good too is quite surprising comparing to other speaking African countries, I love it.
I will make it a lifetime goal to visit Namibia…….I am so in love with this country.love from 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
