Hey Dad!, stay off the ice. I know a lot of people say it but one of the best parts of your shows is watching the customer's reaction when you tell then there is "no charge".
Honestly, when you are younger and used to working hard, it's hard to stand back and just watch. My husband and I are both having back troubles now and hate admitting we can't do what we did just a few years ago!
Hey Casey. I can see why you do what you do. That confused look on Chris's face when you said it "cost nothing" Was "sheer priceless". You are a man among gods.
Good idea about using spikes over his shoes. Not sure when this happened but look up signs of concussion because even if he didn’t lose consciousness, he could still have one and there can be a bleed that doesn’t demonstrate symptoms until too late. Always best practice to get evaluated medically after a fall when the head hits a hard immovable object with force! Words of advice from old retired nurse.
Your Dad is a man after my own heart! Dr Pepper and all! I find myself more non-agile also, probably something to do with 40+ years of trucking and 70+ years in age.
The look on people's faces and their reaction to your telling them the rescue/recovery is free is simply priceless. You can imagine that they think their wallets will be hundreds of dollars lighter when in fact it is free. Great job Casey.
Great recovery Casey. Hope you dad is OK and No concussion! Stay off the ice Mr Casey’s dad. Put on them spikes slip on over your shoes! It’ll be safer . Jeep sounds great Casey. 🎉😎
Still making everything look easy there Casey! LMAO, so funny watching you Dad tap his toes on the edge of the ice after you loaded up for the day! We all know how easy it is to fall on the ice. Take care!
Another great job Casey! A while back when someone insisted on paying you suggested they give something to their favorite charity, I thought that was a great way to pay it forward. Thank you for your content.
Praying your dad is doing well. Gosh falling is scary especially when you bang your noggin. I know you guys will check to make sure he's ok later. Love watching you get folks out of trouble. Stay safe and GOD bless
Good your dad is okay and picking himself back up. My pops is 73 and still thinks he can do things like he’s still in the Marines. He’ll most likely just keel over while working literally in the back 40 of his 150 acre ranch he bought for retirement. He’s happy; therefore, if he goes out that way, I’ll be thankful because he never wants to waste away in a hospital bed or care facility.
@@garlandremingtoniii1338 My great grandfather did the same. He was in his early nineties out working with his tractor dragging scrap iron out of the brush. A piece he was pulling dug in, swung up and hit him in the head. Makes me sad but glad, no pain or nursing homes, a long life that ended swiftly. May we all be so blessed.
I am 76 and still driving my big truck hauling oil. I intend to work until the year 2045. It is called Freedom 99. I am going to leave this world the way I came in, kicking and screaming.
My Dad was digging potatoes at 72 Y/O when he had a heart attack. Not a month later he had his extension ladder in the bucket of the loader and was up top picking pears "so they don't go to waste". He passed on 2 months before his 90th Birthday. I turn 70 in a couple months and hope I have 20 years left in me.
My dad told us years ago when he dies kick him out of the tractor and farm on he was born there that's the only place he wants to be he's 76 and still works harder than most people I know I keep telling him slow down his answer yesterday was if I do death might catch up to me how do you argue with that
I'm 70 still caring for 14- 19 horses providing lessons and trail rides just don't want to keel over on a trail ride with a group or during lessons. Out in the summer pastures with my hoses or a peaceful trail ride of my own enjoying G_D's wonderful world would be just fine
We get the news about the wild fires on the UK TV, but once they are out. no one goes back to show how much has been lost and the loss of life. You showed how much has happened. Heart breaking 💔
I like the fact your dad's trying to be part of your life so much that you're not seeing it getting hurt means nothing getting up means everything God bless
Hey Casey, Head injuries are no joke. Please get you dad checked out. And thanks for another wonderful video really do enjoy watching. And again Please get your dad checked.
Casey, my wife and I hope your dad is doing well after his fall. We also want you to know that your channel is our favorite TH-cam channel, bar none. We appreciate how genuine you are and we love the fact that even though you could charge people and they would be happy to pay it, you don't. We love seeing their reactions. We look forward to watching each and every one of your videos, even if you think there is nothing exciting in the video. It's really good just watching something real on TH-cam. Keep up the great work!
Get your dad to take it easy, I am only 60 and fell last week, I thought I was fine but 2 days later the aches and pains reminded me of it.... Keep up with the great work you do... there are very few like you around....💪🙏
Good on ya Casey, hang out with your dad more. My pops is 79 and it genuinely puts a spring in his step when we are partners in crime. Mom totally approves because she doesn't have to call to tell dad is on the roof again.
I think the best part is when you say no charge at the end. That is such a humble and generous move because most people would have charged for the effort. You're stock is definitely rising with the big guy Casey. I like that and watching your channel is like therapy from all the hysteria. All the best.
Good on you Casey for taking care of your dear old dad, it shows not only what a great son you are, but a great human being in general, you've never put yourself first in all of the videos I've watched. Hoping your dad is feeling better after his fall.
The spikes are so awesome, I have in the past slipped and fell because it is sheer ice where I live. Those spikes saves me a lot of hurt and the expression on telling the guy no charge was also awesome.
Thanks for all you do Casey, especially the way you care for your pops! I'm 70 and not to good at walking especially on ice, I winter in southern AZ so don't have any, most of my family is in Indiana and hope and pray I can visit them this summer!
Wishing your Dad well, another great recovery. Those spikes on the Grocery Store tile will be more dangerous than ice, might want to rethink that one!🤔😁

A few years ago, I came across an F150 that had slid off an iced road. I stepped out to see if I could help ; the whole road was an ice rink. I thought I was moving carefully, but I fell, and won a minor concussion prize. Disorientation disabled me a while. Now - In the winter, I keep a pair of shoe chains in the trunk bag. I hope your father recovered alright
While I agree with the spikes for your Dad while outdoors, be careful on tile floors in a establishment. They suddenly become useless and in fact MORE dangerous as if on ice without them. Glad he's ok. Great video
Hey Pops even though he sounds a bit gruff on the video, I think you have a great son. Humor him a bit and let him look after you,I’m guessing he just wants to have you around for a while longer. And thanks Casey for another great video.👍😎
Hope you dad is doing good. 👍 Even though I have seen it many times, it's still priceless to see the expression on people faces when you tell them FREE OF CHARGE. I really dislike watching my dad get old. My dad would walk circles around me In the mountains of Utah while hunting. Now it's hard or him to get out of a chair. He has had an amazing life so far! I'm glad your dad is tough and blew all the ice off that spot.
Thank you once again for "good stuff". I might respectfully add that an additional set of those cleats might keep Mr. Casey from the same fate. " What's good for the goose is good for the gander". Of course, he probably already has them on, being so admirably prepared and all. Always enjoy seeing the higher elevation country and the great vista's. Thanks again!
Casey your dad is one of us Generation X. He has a hard head and will never admit he's hurt. You need to treat it as a concussion and get him checked out. God bless
Consider getting him examined for a concussion. I was recently in a relatively slow & gentle car accident, and I was certain that I was fine. Had both whiplash and a concussion, I'm still recovering from the concussion. It's no joke.
@@Retiredmom2 thanks! It's a slow recovery but I'm improving every day. Luckily it happened while at work so I've had my wages covered & can actually follow the doctors advice & rest.
Glad your Dad is OK, never a good feeling realizing you are slipping on ice and headed to the ground. Nice that you are getting some more snow time on the tracked Jeep.
Good job Casey, and keep a close eye on your dad. I slipped on ice in a cemetery and banged my head on the ground back on December 17th and I am still feeling the effect of it , and I got back up right after it happened.
Hi Dad!! Take it easy sir!! From the man you raised your son to be, you’ve nothing to prove.💪🙏♥️. Glad you didn’t get more hurt. You’re a tough ole bird, like my father. Good to see you back and I have great respect for your son and by extension, even more for the man who raised a great man. 🙏💪
My dad is in unbelievably good health and shape for being 84 and he hardly ever listens to me! Ha. Still jumps in his truck with his bobcat in tow and does jobs. Yes he is hard headed! Seems like your dad at least listens to you! Take care and watch out for him! Nice recovery!
OH no so sorry your Dad fell and hit his head. Is he ok? What a perfect tool for the tracked Jeep! The scenery, snow and sun are just amazing. Glad your Dad did not fall again the second time. Casey your sleeve release hitch pin is a awesome. I have not seen one like that. Super nifty. Shoe spikes are sooo helpful. I keep them by my back door too, damn ice. What an awesome rescue!! Casey's Dad: please stay OFF THE ICE!!
10 weeks ago I slipped on ice in a customers driveway. My feet went out from under me, and I landed om my shoulders and then my head hit the ground. I went to the hospital thinking I had a concussion, but my head was ok. I fractured my T2 vertebra and got whiplash. I'm going to Physio therapy now to recover. I bought a pair of ice cleats the next day....... I know, closing the barn door after the horse left. But falls on ice can really do a lot of damage. Your dad should go for an X-ray at least!
My husband fell on the ice in the driveway, broke his collar-bone and cracked at least five ribs. I asked the doctor 4 weeks later what they meant by 'at least' and he said the x-ray hadn't extended any further. The good thing is he didn't seem to hit his head. He said he's never realized his feet could go over his head . . . that was on his way down.
Love seeing your channel and your big heart with helping people. Love seeing your concern for your dad and spikes will help. Invest in some hiking sticks they help greatly.
Ice spikes are absolutely lethal on most indoor surfaces, Casey. If you want your dad to be safe and keep his brains safe in their natural container make sure the spikes come off when entering premises and on when exiting. Experience makes us wiser, in some cases at least 😅.
Way to go Casey. Another job well done. Having lived on a cattle ranch between Bend and Sisters as a teenager, I am familiar with how much snow and cold can happen in your country (negative 30 degrees F with a foot of snow one time). Would have been school at Redmond that day - but the transmissions on the buses wouldn't work. Please tell your dad to wear those shoe chains. We even get snow/ice/freezing rain at times here in the south hills of Eugene. Those shoe chains have saved my fanny several times just trying to get the mailbox.
You just make it look hard so you can play in the Snow 😅🤣 great job, glad your Dad is enjoying the visit, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Don't be so hard on your dad . . . there are ice people and non-ice people, myself and my dad could walk on any kind, while the rest of my family couldn't. Everyone of them have had numerous falls over the years and dad passed on the verge of 90, without even a slip. Great video.
Sorry about your dad Casey, hope he’s okay. Getting hurt is a bummer. I’m 74 and used to being active, walking several miles every day and going to the gym, hiking etc. Two weeks ago decided to try out a jungle gym, lost my grip and landed wrong on my right leg. Twisted the knee and probably tore my MCL. On crutches and waiting to get more imaging done. Not doing well with the inactivity. I understand how your dad doesn’t want to slow down. Life is for living and doing.
Another great one Casey. Being a COCC alumni/ oregon native living in Utah, soon to move back, I love trying to figure out the areas your office takes you using visual landmarks and Google maps, I think it would be a lot of fun if you gave GPS coordinates in the corner of your video or at least verbally where you are. Thanks for bringing back a lot of great memories.
I know how your dad feels. I have been on tons of rescues here in NJ, yes NJ. We live about 1.5 miles from the ocean and people do stupid people stuff. I was in Emergency Management for 21 years and through plenty of Nor'easter s where evacuations were necessary. I'm now 75 and well with 2 artificial hips I still feel like I can do what I did back then. NOT. Tell your dad it is okay but time to slow down and just voice his opinion on how to do things. Believe me he will appreciate it Casey. Thanks for all you do, I can't stop watching you guys.
Thanks for the post sir, much appreciated. Am sending good wishes for your father's health and wellbeing after clunking his skull on the ice/concrete! On another note, that looked like a trail addition of the Toyota Tacoma and if I remember correctly there is no rear locker nor crawl control available on that model affecting its ability to self-recover. Also, with those conditions some chains/socks and traction boards might have been a good option and allowed them to get out. Being prepared for the conditions is something I preach like gospel to all my friends and family~ Thanks again, hope it's a good week over across the mountains!

Hey mate hope Dad's okay now. Great video as always. We are swealtering her mid 30s, c and your working in snow. 👍👍🇦🇺👍👍
Nicely done!👍 Hope your dad is doing okay.
