Can you eq the zakk wylde as the petrucci? Have you increased highs into the petrucci eq? Can you eq the petrucci the same highs and lows as the zakk wilde and set the same sound?
In my experience, the exact details of the wah envelope are quite complex. The height and width of the peak, the general eq curve ... While the Petrucci wah has 8 parameters you can tweak, I don't think it's still possible to exactly match another pedal. I've tried to match it exactly to the 535Q but it's not possible exactly. Mostly because the peak in the JP95 is so high, while the peak in the 535Q is surprizingly subtle. You can hear the drastic peak of the JP95 when you play it on a clean tone: it clips even a clean tone. That's why the JP95 is not really good for clean tones.

Only the Petrucci model has the ability to be changed. It has pots inside to change the eq and sweep. The Zakk Wylde wah has a set sound

John Petrucci all the way. Thats a real wah man. Plus you got the eq band inside that you can adjust if you dont like the petrucci factory preset
