My back to school tradition....I would always trace my hand on the last page of my kids notebook. This way if they ever got sad or upset they could just slide their little hand into the book and we would be "holding hands"! My youngest is 30 and we still end every text conversation with ❤️🤚

I take a marker and write the expiration dates on top of the cans so it’s easy to see what I need to use first :)
Loved this video! My kids are adults now (time does pass quickly) but I have grandchildren now. I used to take a day and take each of my 3 children shopping for school supplies and their choice for lunch. One year I tried taking all 3 of them at once, not a good idea 😂. I always had holiday napkins and I would put those in their lunch boxes and a little note. As crazy/hectic as those days were, I truly miss them. I'm looking forward to the next video 😊

Our tradition for the first day of school is that I put up the Fall decor while the kids are in school and bake cookies and or a cake 😊
I had to stick with clear bins.. my hubby does the shopping and if he can’t see it right away he just buys a ton of extra crap!!🤣🤣🤣

It looks great! I did something similar in my craft room/office. I used little tags that hang from the baskets to let me know what's in each.
Lauren- have you ever tried isopropyl alcohol (70% rubbing alcohol) in a spray bottle to clean glass? I began using just rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to clean all surfaces in my home after researching about all the harsh chemicals in home cleaning agents. I have to say it works better than any cleaning agent I have ever used. It disinfects, leaves a pleasant scent, and most of all no harsh chemicals you can’t pronounce getting absorbed into your skin, and it’s cheap. Works on every surface except for wood. Only thing I use on my glass, countertops, and toilets. Also, to stay chemical free- I mop my floors with vinegar mixed with water. It works great, helps keep bugs away, absorbs odor, and it’s super cheap as well.
For the past 20 years, my side of the family has gone away together for a weeks holiday at a lake...this is the very last week of summer holiday, prior to the new school year and we would be coming home the day before school started! I would everything for back to school, purchased and all in new knapsacks in my bedroom closet, all ready to go...and all their new school clothes hanging up ready to wear...along with a weeks worth of pantry staples to get us going upon returning back home... tradition was a back to school picture in the morning, right before heading off to school.... we still go away, but I don't have to worry about back to school anymore!
I did similar in our food store, it feels so much easier to keep organised.
I also created a baking basket, with all food items needed for baking, flour/baking powder/vanilla etc... whole basket gets taken out and it all there in the kitchen, then easy to put away when all done.
I have an over flow/restock area too for all supplies, and thats what I keep stocked up ready to refill tubs or baskets.

There are really cute clip on labels 🏷 for your basket bins . Easy to find things . Especially for kids & hubby that can’t find anything without mom’s finding them. Like most moms we know where everything is at any given time. Great organization. 🥰
It's nice to have a hidden but open pantry. We have a small pantry so I actually use a large nearby linen closet for pantry.
Your pantry and laundry area look great but I would have to label the baskets because I would never remember what is in them. That’s what happens when you get older. 😊❤️😊

I just wanted to say thank you - on the subject of paper towels - of all things! Many videos ago you said you really didn't like using them - and I appreciate that it was just that simple of a statement - not why....so it put a little bug in the back of my mind - and I've made a 99% switch to micro-fiber cloths! My motivation was financial - I was spending a lot of money on paper towels every week - now I have more money in my pocket! Thanks a bunch! 🙂

What about putting name tags on the baskets so you know what’s in them.I like the baskets .It makes things look a lot cleaner and not so cluttered.

I love the black baskets that you used in your pantry, you did a great job. I may try this but I would have to keep a list of what is in there so I dont forget. I'm always trying to organize my pantry but it's so darn small. I love preparing for back to school and Fall. I always take my daughter shopping for that first day outfit but the sneakers are the most important to her. Always take a pic!

My fav memories of being a kid is eating Little Debbie’s all summer all day long. I couldn’t imagine having to eat fruit all day. Still as an adult I eat lil cakes it just brings me back to my childhood.

I love the baskets they look so nice. Hi, I'm new to your channel. I have already binge watched a lot of your videos. Your home is just beautiful, I love homes with a history. I wanted to share that they make a Spray Way all purpose cleaner. It's exactly like the window cleaner but it's multipurpose. I too use Myers cleaning products, the scents are so pleasant. Also, your cats are adorable. I'm an animal lover too with a full house of extra fur to carry them wherever I shall go. Enzo is a fantastic name, my son is everything Ferrari. He was in the Ferrari club for years but left because work was to busy. He's 23 and my only one because of health issues. But, his love more than enough to fill my heart with happiness everyday and year. He thinks he's no longer my baby because of his age, never will he stop lol.

Would love to hear any advice for a deep pantry cabinet....I could probably fit two baskets deep in mine, but that just seems like a lot. Right now things just get pushed in, so I need a system! :)

Really good job. I like the dark baskets, but there is no way I'd remember what's in what without a label somewhere. If I DID remember, the rest of the family would be disturbed because only I would know where anything was located. 😑

i did fun things for my girls when they were in School ,now i have 4 grandchildren and only one left in School ,and he is going to Maine for his last 2 years of School .
did you end up liking the baskets vrs the clear bins? Did you label the baskets? I have a door on my pantry but the baskets look so nice. Not sure if I'd get frustrated with not being able to easily see what is readily available. Curious to know how this works pragmatically.
