    Hi David. I find the opposite of trust is trying to steer the ball which leads to horrific results. I am getting better at just having a very nonchalant attitude about golf and realizing I only have influence on one thing. My mental approach which means how I think before and after a shot.

      David,
      YES-If you are trying you are not trusting. The truth is your body knows how to move and doesn’t need your help.-

    The best golf instructor on the planet, Shawn Clement, talks about giving up control. You setup properly and then you let the club swing without trying to manipulate it or "trying to make sure." This is exactly what you're referencing.

    Hi Dave .If you have a bad golf swing how will mind over matter improve it ? Jason ok

      The two often go hand in hand but if you don’t have the fundamentals of a good golf swing-- that must be addressed

    Hi Dave. I've immediately implemented this advice with very positive results. Only part of your video that I question is when you say "don't try this for the whole round, if you're not used to trusting, no way you can do this for 18 holes". I understand it's something that will take practice, but don't really understand only doing it for 3 holes.Why? Surely one should be 100% committed to the concept 100% of the time and the ability to do it successfully for the entire round will improve? For me, when I hit a bad shot, I accept that I simply hit a bad shot rather than dismissing your recommended approach as ineffective.

      because the majority who are already negative tend to struggle to do it "all the time"...so suggested 3 holes to develop a new habit. If you can do it for longer periods...great! mentalgolfcoaching.com/index.php/wired-to-win-original/

      @@DavidBreslow thanks for the immediate response. The only alternative I see is going back to having a million and 1 swing thoughts and fear of a bad shot. I'm not doing that! Thanks for your excellent videos.

    Trusting your swing is a threshold that once you go through, you ask yourself why did it take this long to get here, but there's no real answers. You just take it!!

    • @DavidBreslow
      @DavidBreslow  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it on;y takes as long as each individual assumes it takes. It doesn't have to take long at all. It does for most golfers because they ASSUME it takes a long time!!

    Hi David, What is your handicap?

    • @DavidBreslow
      @DavidBreslow  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recovering from injury so no hdcp at this time. Why do you ask?

    • @limarc1985
      @limarc1985 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally agree with what you say and its true as well. So if its doable your handicap should be zero or minus. I was curious to know your present or earlier handicap just to convince myself that it works like a turn key operation. As we say "the proof is in the pudding". There are so many psychologists Yoga masters and Chichi masters giving lectures about golf on you tube but when I ask their handicap they say they don't play golf. But there is only one person (Chi master) who demonstrates how he does it and it works perfectly well. So David, Am I missing something here?

      I Hi Lionel,
      Well--I'm not "that guy" you describe.
      There is a lot of baloney out there and 98% of it is useless and my own and other golfers frustration with this is what led to the creation of my program called Wired to Win©
      I believe you are missing something. It seems you believe one must have an expertise in a certain field to help someone in that certain field and that is a false premise. Been helping people in many fields --areas I know little about--for 25 years.
      The Wired to Win program I teach to professional and amateur golfers is quite effective because of the content-not because of my handicap 😊. You can see why and what others have to say about it here: www.mentalgolfcoaching.com I hope this helps.

      The golf game is a lot more then just the mental side of it so even if he was not off scratch or better it doesn't matter. What's he's saying works. You don't have to be off scratch to be a mental coach. I'm a professional myself playing on the PGA EuroPro Tour and 98% of club professionals turned pro off the handicap of 4 or less and have turned out to be amazing coaches teaching tour players.
