These vehicles vary depending on their comparative oil/water contents, and can also affect the strength of the medication on your skin. From 'wateriest' to 'greasiest' it goes: solution, gel, lotion, cream, ointment. So a Differin ointment would feel thicker and greasier than a gel, but would feel even stronger on your skin! Bear in mind, though, that both of these ingredients can be drying and irritating to the skin, so I recommend working SLOWLY towards having them both in the routine, not all at once!

I just found out about Differin Gel. My doctor, general practitioner, gave me a prescription for tretinoin a few years ago. Because I didn’t have acne, she couldn’t get insurance to cover it. My skin at age 56 looks as thin and crepey as a 90 year olds. I wanted it to help build collagen and elastin back up. It was $200 for one 5ml tube. That is not a sustainable cost for me. Really loved the comedy skits halfway through too :) I think more B roll would really do well for your videos besides them being really really valuable to viewers! Thanks so much for the comment and feedback, Archer! Great to see a fellow PTYA member! I totally agree with the B roll part, I noticed that I had quite a lot in the second half of the video, but almost none in the first half, and it really felt a bit one dimensional to me in retrospect! Epiduo is great! Funnily enough, both Epiduo and Differin gel contain 0.1% adapalene in them, so you're totally fine sticking with that! The added benzoyl peroxide can make it a bit more irritating to some people's skin, but if it's not a problem for you then Epiduo is great too!

Suffered from eczema on my upper bsck for years and after seeing 3 Canadian dernatologists prescribing to me a cortisone cream that aggravated my skin conditions but the dermatologists wiuld not listen to what i was saying assuning i am simply an idiot...i had to go back to my country, visit a real dermatologist (she didn't had her clinic full of cosmetic creams and serums from la Roche Posay), the first time i saw her she instructed me to come back to her after i wash myself with s fragrance free soap and no use if anything on my skin, so on ny second time she actually took her wooden sticks and a magnifier to check my eczema. one of the Canadian dermatologist checked my back from 2.5 metres away, the 2 others close enough but it took them less than 30 seconds. Her diagnostic was to only use fragrance free soap and use olive oil to moisture my back while it is wet. I stumbled iver a documentary...and i ended up using bkack soap and honey (wild real honey) on my back. And since then honey is my go to treatment fir any skin issues including the herpes (cold sore) on my lips as well as any burns (fire burns as well as sun burns). For the cold soare though, i need to intervene as soon as i feel the first itching before the cold sore erupts. Not sure hiw much did i saved using honey but i am pretty sure few thousands for a decade now.

What about topical products for hyperpigmentation. What are your thoughts on Faded Topicals?
Hi Dr Syed! Really happy to see you upload another video after finding you from Ali! I'm currently doing his TH-camr course and learning lots! Really loved the comedy skits halfway through too :) I think more B roll would really do well for your videos besides them being really really valuable to viewers! I currently use epiduo as my retinol, is that good enough or should I think about just differin? Thanks again :)
@@usamasyed I was suspecting you were in the course haha! Yeah just wanted to offer some feedback where I can since there isn't usually much in youtube comments all the time. I tend to run into the same issue sometimes and mostly overload the first half (to try keep retention going for as long as possible haha)
Perfect! I read some studies on it causing free radicals and stuff and it being slightly damaging, but don't really know if that's something of real concern!
@@ArcherNewton I really appreciate it my man! Just subscribed to your channel now as well so looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
Don't worry about the free radical talk, you're in good hands with Epiduo!
No WAY, it's Archer Newton from iCanStudy?!?!
haha that's me! I loved Dr Syed's skincare vids@@Cube_Box

Differein Gel is for acne treatment. Can I still use it if I don't have acne problems? My goal is to reduce sagging and wrinkles. Love your channel! Thanks!
Yes…..just incorporate slowly.
Hey, can you please guide us men about back acne and some products that we can use to get rid of them? Would be really appreciated, TIA!
Very useful vide thank you. I heard it's best to do a skincare routine like this before you sleep rather than in the morning, is that correct?
Hi Doctor! There are a lot of videos on internet these days talking about VitC. Could you please make a video over it ?
Also around what age would you suggest for a person to start using retinoids? Thanks in advance.
Hiya from NZ, came from Ali Abdal Channel. Could you please enlighten me, in one of your videos, you have mentioned that with the passage of time/regular use, skin get used to Retinoid n we have to increase the dose. Don't you think it is concerning? And how much dose can be increased over 10 to 20 years of daily use? Asking just to understand from professional like yourself.
Love the way you speak.
Thank you!
How/when do you use a moisturiser? After taking a shower?
Love your channel!
Thank you!!
Does using sunscreen everyday helps with aging even if I'm not goin out and exposed to the sun?
what about vit C serum/ cream, do you recommend it for everyone?
Also, I keep seeing new advertisements for “Tretinoin” - they say it better than retinol. Can you make some content about this? Thank you!!!
@dr. Usama syed is it good to use the Differin Gel if you have a weak type of psoriasis or rather take a tretinoin? Read that tretinoin could help with psoriasis but there is no evidence about adapalene
Thanks for an answer ! 😊
Sir which Face wash is best for dry and sensitive skin? (I love to care for my skin )
Can you do a 2023 version of this? unless you are using the same compounds
Maybe I will! Feel like people might find educational videos more useful than just what I use personally? But I don't know!
@@usamasyed That's definitely true, this was purely a selfish request since my skin complexion is similar to yours. Lol..... Although, this is a top 5 video(lots of slighter darker complexion folks watching this channel)....just saying. Lol
Usama you are a great communicator. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you!
Hi! I have a question. Mixing different brand can be bad for the skin? Exp. Cetaphile cleaser with a Cerave moisturiser. I always try to use the same brand because im effraid that the mixt of chimical in different products can affect my skin. Thanks for your videos :)

Thank so much, Saba! Hopefully going to be posting much more content, so let me know if there are any topics you want me to add to my list 🙌🏼
Yess..There are many things
1. I want you to make videos on certian topicals such..retinoids,glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid and which over the counter products are best to use
2. There is one hyped brand 'The Ordinary'..Is the brand worth its hype and would you suggest using it being a dermatologist?
3.Which skin care products do you think are the best?
4.Please add some motivational videos to your list for the medical students out there..also your study tips and tactics.🤗
@@sabafirdous2245 Great ideas, Firdous! Every single one of those ideas would make great videos, and I will definitely add them to my list!

Hello sir is it good to use cerave moisturizer lotion than Cetaphil bright health radiance lotion. My skin type is sensitive and oily also. Or should i use aveeno moisturizer lotion please reply back sir
Should the cerave moisturizing lotion say “facial moisturizing lotion” or “daily moisturizing lotion” in order for it to be used for the face? Does it matter?
doesn't matter either way!
Just FYI the sunscreen you are holding is different than the one linked in the description.
