    First off, your videos and walkthroughs are so much more detailed and succinct than others out there. I've searched exhaustively for this particular breakdown. I love how you're using the three different Saphir Mirror Gloss Waxes. I have tried using the Neutral to no avail and actually seemed to discolor (stain) areas on one shoe around the medallion. Frustrated I almost binned my new pair of C&Js. However, watching your walkthrough on using dark brown and brown coupled with neutral has influenced me to give it another go. Brilliant outcome on the tip. Love the uniformity of darker contrast. This is exactly what I'm looking to do to save mine. Cheers again, sir.

    In college I was in Corp of Cadets. We used the creme polish and hard wax with water as spit shine. Some used a flame to help the polish penetrate the leather to form the mirror shine. I see Kirby applying polish with dress shirt, tie and suit. I hold my breath hoping he doesn't slip and touch his clothes. Well done.

      I remember using a handkerchief that’d been covered in shaving cream for days to shine my parade shoes when I was in military school. Some guys would cheat and use Mop & Glow on theirs but you could always tell because it didn’t melt in the hot sun.

  • @houndawg3
    @houndawg3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    All of the fancy stuff isn't needed. Special chamois? An old t-shirt works perfectly. I had to spit shine entire boots, not just the toes, with Kiwi and a t-shirt. Anyone from the black boot days of the military can do it.

    • @yamama4719
      @yamama4719 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's what i was thinking. a $225 leather mat? saying a fancy chamois is a "must-have"? not to knock the trade of course, but this guy is definitely a salesman. i wish him luck, though.

    Many TH-camr's say to use Saphir products, yeh OK, big but! Not ever one can afford Sahpire products, however, Kiwi shoe polish is way cheaper (NOT Quality) I know Kiwi is not the best quality either!
    SO therefore can anyone bring a pair of Black Capped Oxford shoes using ONLY Kiwi standard shoe polish! Please don't suggest a heat-gun, what you want a fire? Let alone a heat-gun can dry out the leather!

Whether it's complete mirror shine or routine care or even a quick care/emergency for instance when we have an event to attend the same night and we just realized our shoes look awful. I think people would love it as well. It would be nice if you show each of your shoes (and loads of shoe care walkthrough for each) as they might be different both in material and also colours.
