There's no escaping the echoes of Bono in Elijah's voice, and the fact that he looks a lot like Jeff Buckley, but this music is definitely uniquely theirs. I'm excited to see where they go.

Oh man, here's something I never knew existed. Can't tell you how important U2 have been for me through out the decades. Inhaler gives a glimpse into what it might have been like discovering U2 in the early 80's.

My theory on why their music videos are pretty much perfect: it is known that people from the younger generation have short attention spans, so the flashing images, the quick paced progression, and the "fun" element in these videos artistically capture the attention of the viewers, who simply do not find time to get bored while watching these masterpieces.

From someone who experienced u2 on MTV in ‘81 and a fan of Boy and much of their early input, it’s uncanny. Vocals are really so excellent. Instant Rock star but this is very good. These guys could lead the new post punk resurgence scene easily. No young bands in this style have this level of vocal talent. And that’s what makes real rockstar frontmen. But this is a matter of genetics…
Richard Araiza (The Buttertones) is up there vocally but the band has never touched the mainstream.

LOL Bono had a baby - that's actually what happened. The Killers are a spin-off/derivative/imitation of early U2, the Smiths, and the Cure. They actually straight-up stole some guitar riffs from the Smiths and vocal styles from Bono and Robert Smith for sure. The Strokes are also derivative. U2 was more the original. It would be funny if Elijah were consciously imitating the Killers, who were imitating his Dad.

I'm older now - I grew up listening and loving Irish bands - We had some cracking bands like the Sultans of Ping - A House -The Fatima Mansions - My Bloody Valentine - JJ72 - The Stunning - The 4 of Us -The Cranberries - An Emotional Fish - Ash... I'm older now but I still keep my eye on Ireland as there's something magical in Irish musical creativity inspired by a wealth of artistic history... Inhaler has peaked my interest and I love their vibe... I'm pleased they are coming to London in October so I'm going to check them out.
