The kids voice stands on its own. I've been a U2 fan for nearly 40 years, since 6th grade when I discovered The Unforgettable Fire. This band is going to be huge, NOT because his dad is Bono, but because this bands really good and his voice is incredible with incredible range.
Go listen to Ryan Adam's library, sounds more like RA than Bonehead ( Bono )
There's no range.He sings in small intervals. Prince had a huge range, 4 example. They are fabricating a ''standard product'' as it might be good business. But given the current level of the music produced by mainstream....ok...why not?

As a bloke in his 50s and an original U2 fan, listened to this out of curiosity. It's bloody good and well done for pushing the bass and guitar up in the mix, your father has taught you well. He sounds a lot like his dad

@@johncubberley1943 I think with other genres, having better quality production is good but with rock/indie rock, the more raw the better. This is what they'll play on the radio now! It's too pop.

This was the second inhaler song I ever listened to and it really made me fall in love with the band. It's been two years from then and every song they've released has brought me so much joy and has only exponentially increased my love for them. I'm 53 and my first intro to Elijah's music. Elijah - my cousin from Belfast brought his albums to Guernsey when he moved over during the troubles. Sunday Bloody Sunday was first album he played to me. Still the best U2 album. All I wanted to say when I heard this my God you have real traces of your dad's voice in you. Of course you are unique, but I hear your dad when I listen carefully. Good Luck Buddy! All the Best. Now living in Dublin. City of Culture ;)

As I said I find it pretty cool that newer generations returns to a way of music that's familiar to me.I was doing this in the 80's:).Like living out of it.Not a bad time.What I would like really would be to see a bit of a different approach to orchestration and arrangement.....but that's another story and needs a lot of knowledge. Anyway , this ,at least can be listened unlike 90 per cent of nowadays production which is ''By morons for morons''.Producers being at the top of the list.

I had to hear this on TikTok!! Immediately came to listen. I heard a bootleg from U2’s first album and had to order it from London because it wasn’t stateside yet. I can hear his father’s very young voice but this sound is entirely Inhaler’s. They should be blowing up in the States!! I’ll do my part!!

When I heard/watched the first version I knew it was a great song. Turns out it was prophetic too. Bring on the album and wake up the world.
