I'm SOLD... Traxxas it is! I hate how tiny the MST wheels are. Will the HPI BMW E30 body work on the Traxxas drift? I'm wondering if the Traxxas can accommodate an after-market magnet setup for other bodies.
If the HPI body is 200mm (because they sometimes have the same body in 190 and 200 variations) then it'll fit flush to the wheels, if you run a 190mm body you'll have a little bit of wheel poke, or you'll have to run aftermarket wheels with less offset. you can probably do the magnet / velcro mounts from other companies on here. I've used the "stealth magnet body mount" kit from ebay on all my MST cars and they're all slightly different and I've been able to get it to work on every one of them
I have the same car but I have stock tires up front and the smaller ones in rear it feels pretty good but just like you said upgraded parts for it will be interesting… but I do prefer MST as well
As r/c addicts, we rarely have just one car so I have to say I'm happy that I have both. Of all the categories, I guess you'd say, of r/c cars out there, drift cars I think have the biggest variation of handling from chassis to chassis
I've driven both the 2 and 2.5 and as far as control I can't really tell the difference, they're so extremely similar and running tandems with them they're even. I have a 10.5 in my RMX KMW and it's plenty enough, I have to imagine she's a rocket with a 6.5 motor in there
these were the best videos on this car others either didnt know how to drift or just preferred to crap on the car without putting it through the paces
Appreciate you!
This is great. Love seeing the comparison to something a little more professional
