Thank you so much! My vet diagnosed my little dog with Cushing disease. You explained this so much better than he did. God bless you!

My dog (13 year old lab) was recently diagnosed with Cushing Disease. We put him on Protandim which contains Turmeric, Ashwagandha, milk thistle, Bacopa and Green tea. He is responding well. He seems to have more energy and strength, especially at the dog park with his fur friends.

Thank you for these videos. It's so nice having a vet to explain these things in a non-urgent manner. It helps me not to panic with my decisions on treatments.

Doc say my dog might have it. Studying up on what the symptoms are. HELL, I THINK I HAVE IT!

Dr. Andrew, I have adrenal fatigue. Think I will ask about the dosage for myself. My dog died of Cushing's disease tumor on the adrenal. I have another dog now, I just wanted to check this out in case the same thing happened again. I took him to the vet as soon as he had signs of thirst , and hunger. They checked for everything except for cushing, by the time they diagnosed him his muscles had atrophied. Had to put him down. Broke my heart. I just want you to know how much I greatly appreciate you. Blessings to you, your family, and fur babies.

Great info. Just had 3 visits to the vet and though not tested, vet is strongly saying Cushing's. Now my dog is 13 and is a breed that has a life expectancy of 12 to 14.

Wonderful explanation, thank you SO SO very much! Not sure if you can answer but I'll ask...After seeing a vet and dermatologist, we are pretty sure my dog has cushings...he was doing quite well, but kept getting skin infections, so we decided to treat him with Trilostane, and DermaChlor 4 for his infection. It's day 4 of the treatments, and he is lethargic and itchy/rubbing up against furniture and carpet (wasn't doing this before treatment), and to make matters worse, they put him on a diet of ONLY non-allergen food which he can't stand. Should I stick it out the 2 week trial period of Trilostane and restricted diet? I am very tempted to go homeopathic, since he seemed ok before. If it wasn't for the skin infection, I wouldn't have taken him to the vet.

my chihuahua 12 years was diagnosed with Cushing's disease , test was done , vet put him on vetoryl 10mg and denamarin 90mg once a day . I noticed he drank more water like he couldn't get enough and ate like he was starving , the pot belly and his coat was dull and losing hair and he would slip alot . First took him to vet , gave me antibiotics sent me home , took him back and vet he normally sees was not there sent me to specialist but I didnt have that kind of money , so went to another vet said do a senior bundle with blood work , urine, fecal and xrays an ultrasound . Told heart enlargement on half and wanted a ekg done I refused said liver numbers was elevated put him on denamarin 90mg , and urisol for gall bladder found sludge but didnt stay on it to long she called told me to stop urisol . Took him to his vet and did test for cushings and thats my fur baby's story really dont want him on drugs that could hurt more than help

my sisters dog was diagnosed with cushings disease and that brought me here. after watching Dr. Eric Bergs videos on thiamine deficiency, I thought that there were similarities in symptons. I also googled thiamine and cortisol and I just wondered if there is a correlation with thiamine deficiency and cushings disease and would it help to supplement thiamine or b1. Also would supplementing boron help as it will decalcify the pituitary gland?

This is so helpful. Thank you so much. How much ashwagandha can we give a 22lb dog? Do you have a site for recommended supplements for pets?

  • @champagnemls

Have been there with one of our dog......Such a complex disease. I also consulted TCM because the dog was not able to be on Vtryl. Unfortunately, all the steroids in vet medicine as a sideeffect can cause Cushings including even eardrops....A nonend battle

You are so wonderful to give such valuable information. I’m on Facebook groups and read heartbreaking stories about people losing their pets to this terrible disease because of lack of care by their vets. I hope one day everything goes holistic/natural for humans and pets. Thank you again for your time and for caring.

My dog has all the signs except she isn’t drinking excess of water. I wonder if it’s something else that should be on my radar. She has distended pot belly, losing muscle control in back legs, losing her fur, calcium plaques under the skin, and panting a lot
