The red deuce is Tex Smith's car. Yeah, he drove it everywhere. I passed him on the 5 freeway in Burbank once with my dad riding with me. We hung out beside him for about 3 miles. He recognized my dad to my surprise. Called dad at work the next day. But dad went back to the end of WW2 in hotrods in SoCal. He knew LOTS of hot rod legends.
That is a wonderful gift that Dan sent you. It’s like an early Christmas watching you open that. The man’s name that has that 32 on the cover of the book is Gray Baskerville, and you were correct, they wouldn’t let them in because it wasn’t a finished car. Have a great Christmas Pappy!
Man, what an amazing box stuffed full of awesome stuff! You are right, Dan is DA MAN! You were talking about us old farts liking the same sort of cars, that's because we grew up in the coolest times, we had the coolest cars and music back then! I was born in 1958, so we must be about the same age Rob. Take care and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
