I am a BIG BIG fan of Chevelles Rob! I am looking forward to seeing more on that! The Willys pickup is looking real sharp too! I have several of those kits (AMT). That Race Rig is a very nice addition. Glad Your Nephew was so nice to get You one of them. Always a blast to see what Your doing! Thank You for sharing with Us here in tubeland! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
Cool stuff Rob, that Willys pickup is Sharp. I like those skirts on the trailer, that was cool. Cool blue color on the truck and trailer. Awesome stuff as always Rob.👍👍
Rob I love your enthusiasm when you are unboxing kits and describing your builds ! The 60 Ford pick up is looking great and yes, the original issue had separate chrome trim for the side of the hood. Keep up the good work and happy new year!
I'm with you, I think the truck is really cool. As for blackening the grill, paint it with some of that cheap craft acrylic, then rub off the excess after it dries. It should come off pretty easy just rubbing it with your finger or a cloth.
Awesome Chevelle dou love the color maybe a blk dash pad w/accents and taller rear tires 😁🤩scooter d😎ps I think that car blew my doors off once not sure what I was driving 🤣
That kit was the my first glue and paint model I built as a 6 year old, maybe that's why the 70 Chevelle is my favorite muscle car. Of course I only painted the body and used brushes to do it. Yours is looking good!
You do good work! Nice, smooth paint. Sorry about that chrome sheet for the Chevelle. The 1960 Ford truck/trailer looks good. Looks like the Olympic Games rings on the doors of the Willys. - It was not uncommon for the real car customizers to put a decal or pin stripe over top of "Strange paint" issues back in the day. Looks like the engine was taken from the AMT 1959 El Camino kit. IDK. The Show Rodz kits are fun. I have some of them as the Slick Slacks issues from the mid 1970's. They have denim door and trunk stickers for them. I should build one of them for the upcoming Small Scale Group Build. AMT 1939/1940 Fords are the best. Always fun to build them. Glad that kit has restored the 1960's chrome hub caps in it. - Have fun!
Never seen the foil before? I think the AMT Chevelle is proportioned better to. Love the race team build. Look forward to your small scale builds. I'll be watching
I have used that brand of foil myself, and had problems with it wrinkling , like you said it is very thick, so I only use it if absolutely necessary!! What shade of blue did you use on the body? I like that blue it looks good!! Some good looking builds👍👍
It's TAMIYA Pearl Light Blue TS-58. I didn't use primer just sprayed over the light gray plastic and waxed with NOVUS #2. You'd probably get a cool color if you sprayed over a gold or silver. And thanks 😊 for the support.
One night I race with one in my 49 chevy with the stock 6 in it, and beat him in a light to light race. YA his 396 went south on him . And he limps home with his tail be tween his lags.
Yep. My grandfather's 1960 F100 long bed had a steel bed floor. NOT wood. His 49 F1 also had a steel bed floor. Chevies came with a wood bed floor until at least 55. In fact, come to think of it, in 1976, before I bought my 61 F100, the brand new Chevy pickup I was looking at maybe buying had a wood bed floor. Memorable because it was brand new on a dealer lot, and there were bolts and other hardware painted in place on the bed floor and some had rolled away from where they had been when it was painted and exposed primer under their paint shadow. In some cases, bare wood under the shape of a bolt. Very sloppy craftsmanship building it.
Like that Chevelle, colour looks great..thanks the update and for sharing Rob 👍😎
Awesome builds Rob and especially that 60 ford pickup ❤ and thank you for joining us brother in the small scale group build ❤😊
Everything looks good PAPA ROB, The Chevelle is looking great and the color fits the car almost like factory 😎👍🏻☕🇺🇸

@@papasmodelcarroom8450 You are welcome. I think I read too much on cars and built too many kits in the past. I know too much!
