OMG thanks I found starshot space circus fever thanks to you guys, so much memories of my childhood, twinsen oddysey the best game ever. SERIOUSLY THANKS!!!
Oh BTW, you need to include: 1) Ship Wreckers (Overboard!) - was awesome game of 90's. 2) Atomic Bomberman 3) Serious Sam (Late 90's)? 4) Return to Castle of Wolfenstein (think its late 90's)
Together with the first 100 games this was really a trip down Memory Lane. I played a lot of them, but there were also a lot of them I didn't even know. But then again, in the 90s you played one game from start to finish before playing another one. These days my hard drive is packed with games from all the major gaming platforms, like Steam etc. A gamer for life. Thank you very much for posting this!
It really annoys me sometimes how we've come so far from a technical point, but atmosphere and creativity has just nose dived, because back then dev's didn't have the tech to just do anything they wanted, they had to be creative to immerse the player and make something fun, these days they just don't seem to try anything new
There is plenty of creativity, it has nothing to do with tools and everything to do with money, and what the suites believe in. They believe in whatever is currently popular and prooven, they are not interested in new thinking unless it has already shown that it can make money. Platform games where shelved for many years, and mostly fps and racing games where pushed in the mainstream, until some indie dev made a great and popular platform game, then everyone made platform games. Then DayZ came, and everyone made survival games, then pubg came on, now everyone is making battle royal games. Look to the Indie scene, and you will see plenty of creativity, even more so then back in the good old days. But yes, those times where magic!
Yeah it seems like games aren't fun anymore. Like, I just started up a plague tale. And it's really cinematic but it's opening sequences just really boring and dull.
I read this comment that the 90s were full of creativity just as I watch the bit with the 5th Doom clone, a rip-off of Sonic the Hedgehog and the 7th sequel to a long-running series. There were some good games in the 90s, but just as much rubbish as other decades. For me 1986 was the peak of gaming, but that's just my own nostalgic view. 1986 had some stinkers and rip-offs too. I will agree most modern games suck though. Too much hand-holding and people copying older games. Very little originality. But occasionally someone comes up with something like Katamari Damacy or Shadow of the Colossus, so not all hope is lost.
90-th was the golden era of gaming, music and cinematics. Today, we also have a decent products, but, they are more like rare gems, in the big pile of trash.
For me the sweet spot for gaming was the mid 90's to 2010. Those 15 or so years have had some great stuff coming out. These days, like you say most of it is just horrible, the odd game here and there is great but generally yeah....eh. Lost interest in modern gaming scene.
The era in which PC gaming meant you needed a decent flight stick. Gawd I miss they heyday of space combat sims. X-Wing, Wing Commander, Privateer, Starfleet Academy, Freespace... ...I need to break out my Saitek X-35 again.
Im looking for an old WW2 game. It had a 3rd person view from above, kinda like Syndicate 3:38 but completely horizontal and you could see two edges of the map at once. You just had to collect ammo and shoot the germans. I remember a fully grey city map and that in the menu where you chose the level there was an animation with a helicpter that simulated your charachter in in that screen, like in Mario games when you see Mario run to the level you click in. I algo remember there was a huge swastika in that level selection screen, it was a level. It would be very nice if somehow knew what game Im talking about
I've been trying to find (and remember the name) of Supaplex for almost 3 years now! I used to play this game when I was 6-7 years (around 2003) Thank you so much for including it here!!
2:04 Thank you very much. I've been looking for the name of this game for so many years... But i didn't have any clue, except image. Thank you very much again.
I'll never forget that Christmas of 1998. I bought Baldur's Gate that Christmas Eve, then got Fallout 2 from my parents on the 25th. That was an amazing time to be a gamer.
Short on air combat games. An early 90s game I loved was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat which even inspired me to study aeronautical engineering at a University level.
Glad that you included Starsiege Tribes. Wouldve been great to get a shot from an actual old match, instead if medium armour doing something wierd. Thank you for this video, I'm sure it was alot of work.
I got a compilation CD back when I was a kid. And there were a few games. Something with a bob in space. You had to jump on a bunch of blocks with him to fill in all the colors. Also another game on that compilation, a little bit like worms, but no worms and the environment was a lot closer.
Still playing warcraft 2, C&C, red alert 1 n 2, dark reign, kknd xtreme, dune2k, doom, quake, diablo, armymen 2, duke nukem, age of empires on my windows 98SE machine..feeling nostalgic..
Suggestions... Indycar Racing 1, 2, NASCAR Racing 2, Loadstar, Wingnut, Test Drive 4, 5, Test Drive Off Road 1, 2, 3, Descent 2, Need For Speed 2, 3 and Road Challenge, Bermuda Syndrome Colin McRae, Mobil 1 rally Championship, Time Runners, World Circuit
13:44 Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight came out in 1997, not 1998. ;) 1997 might have been the most over-the-top best year for gaming across all platforms - PC and consoles.
Aaand I just gave you hell for not including Civilization or Space Quest in your earlier video. You have my apologies, and once again thank you for these videos!
Highly unlikely I'll find it, but does anyone remember the name of a game that was a side view with a guy who moved around with a rocket pack? and when that guy got hurt, he made a noise that sounded like "ought".
One old game I enjoyed was Starwars: Rebellion. You basically had to take over planets and systems, capture or kill the enemy leaders, build defences and shipyards and troop barracks and R&D for newer technologies. I could never finish it though because there was always one planet left and a couple leaders were always there and they had too many planet shields and no matter how much i tried I could never crack them. Even with a massive fleet I couldn't bombard them to take down the shields.
Hi I’m looking for a game. See 0:44 it’s like Pac-Man and they have differents world (underwater for example and at the end a boss in Space). Do you know what game it was ? I played in my childhood
when i was a kid some of the stuff in these old games felt creepy and sometimes i had nightmares from it. and i miss it i never get nightmares anymore lol
I'd love to suggest a handful of good (at least in my opinion) titles which were overlooked: Blackthorne Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver Shadowman Uprise: Join or die Dark Colony 7tn Legion Take No Prisoners Heretic II Caesar III The Settlers II Operation Carnage Comix Zone Halloween Harry Broken Sword franchise
There was Fighter Ace and Fighter Ace II, There was Titanic - Adventure out of time, there was G-Nome, There was Goosebumps - Escape from Horrorland. There was also Tzar - Burden of the crown.
0:04 I CANT BELIEVE I FOUND MY TREASURE GAME!! COMMANDER KEEN!!! AND IT IS ON STEAM!! GONNA PLAY IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IN MY CHANNEL. LOL... THANKS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL LIST!!! YOU DONT KNOW HOW MANY YEARS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS GAME. AND I FOUND IT HERE!! I ONLY REMEMBER THE DESIGN, BUT NOT THE GAME TITLE...
Everyone who just randomly remembered the games on your old windows 97'-98 computer and are now stuck in nostalgia computer game video hole Raise your hand pls 🖐🏿
I only recognize a couple of these in the only one I played was Unreal Tournament. I did play Wipeout but it was on the PlayStation and I think it was Wipeout 2 or 3

You confused Powerslave with Power stone
One thing with old games is when you are trying to find one of those obscure games that you got from one of those shareware collection discs back in the day and can't for the life of you find them.
I've been trying to figure one of those out for a very long time now. It was an overhead shooter. Levels were tight quarters, interiors with a future/cyberpunk vibe. You could play two players also and both players had to use the same keyboard. My friend Mike and I would play it all the time. No clue what year it was from or the name. The characters you played as were tude filled punk looking guys.
This is why im here lol
dude you don't even know how long I've searched and how many videos I've watched to just know the name of it and i still can't find it (it's kinda like a space shooter game thingy) 💀💀💀
Same
Me too!
I love these videos. I was born in the 90s,but "thanks" to having a really bad PC up until late 2000s, I had a pleasure to play a lot of those treasures.
Keep up the good work! You just earned a sub and I just found something to binge watch :D
The games were great and being a kid with a child’s imagination was awesome. I wish I could ho back to the 90’s.
Me too, althugh i was 25 y bac than:))
Gotta miss that feeling of playing a new videogame before you were dead inside.
When everything felt like a real ass new adventure

Why there is no mechwarrior games?
OMG thanks I found starshot space circus fever thanks to you guys, so much memories of my childhood, twinsen oddysey the best game ever. SERIOUSLY THANKS!!!
Oh BTW, you need to include:
1) Ship Wreckers (Overboard!) - was awesome game of 90's.
2) Atomic Bomberman
3) Serious Sam (Late 90's)?
4) Return to Castle of Wolfenstein (think its late 90's)
thanks for the video.
Watched this a few times.
Supaplex, Cannon Fodder 2, Lost Vikings, X-Com too many to mention - these were the days! Awesome game selection, keep up the good work mate!

Tons of indie games still do that. You're just not looking in the right places.
Always loved Point n Click, mostly from LucasArts
i found a game i have search for 1 year thank so much bro, from chile
Jedi knight dark forces 2 and mysteries of the sith were goated. Played them religiously

5 years between raganarok/valhalla and the first unreal... What an unbelievable progress in games engines.

Looking for a computer game from the 90's where you solve math problems, then drag race a car. It was the only game allowed in school on the computer.
I love how some of these games have ambience instead of music
even with music- thats very awesome music, modern stuff dont have!
Thief The Dark project, comes to mind immediately :’)
This was an epic ride trough gaming history, thanks!!!
When I started playing PC games back in the mid 90s I was hooked!
I've been trying to find (and remember the name) of Supaplex for almost 3 years now! I used to play this game when I was 6-7 years (around 2003) Thank you so much for including it here!!
Yep! I totally forgot about it untill i saw it here. 👏👏👏👏

For some reason trying 'Cure Blindness' at 4:09 and getting the message 'VGL is not blind' really tickled me 😂
"Age Of Empire: Age Of King's"
Man, me and my dad love that game too
2:04 Thank you very much. I've been looking for the name of this game for so many years... But i didn't have any clue, except image. Thank you very much again.
Hands down the best recopilation of games I've seen in youtube. Epic games!!!!!!! so nostalgic. Thanks for this video :D
The Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, damn they were killer games in adventure type and bring back me to memories.
I'll never forget that Christmas of 1998. I bought Baldur's Gate that Christmas Eve, then got Fallout 2 from my parents on the 25th. That was an amazing time to be a gamer.
Always makes me cry to see all of this... too many emotions and nostalgia from different time.
15:03 Man, I played this game at first time in the PS1 in 2000
Okay, you're forgiven! (I said where was BG in the first list). Nice list. good man!
Short on air combat games. An early 90s game I loved was Chuck Yeager's Air Combat which even inspired me to study aeronautical engineering at a University level.
Falcon 3.0, 4.0 games and their expansion packs are good too, although a little difficult to learn as they're simulators
I was looking for Myst without knowing its name since I saw it once and I'm looking to play it. Thanks!
Jonathan Ramos there is a remake in the works
Description
Lemmings was my favorite game to play and Oregon trail
Apparently 1999 was one of the most amazing years in gaming.
Yeah, The Lost Vikings, Outlaws, Delta Force is in the list!! Awesome games, remember me the good times with smart games.
Outlaws ♥️♥️♥️
Ah the 1998. What a year for gaming. Commandos, Half life, Star craft, Baldurs gate, Grim fandango. Good times..
Finally! it was Supaplex! thank you so much
Glad that you included Starsiege Tribes. Wouldve been great to get a shot from an actual old match, instead if medium armour doing something wierd. Thank you for this video, I'm sure it was alot of work.
Unreal, Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament are 3 of my all time favs.
When you're looking for a game and dont find it on the list. But TH-cam auto play to part ll at it's the first one. 🤗🤗🤗
Man, Delta Force is amazing from 90's
Delta Force was one of my favorite games back then, AoE and Delta Force.
Terminal Velocity was a big one for me when I was a kid.
Ditto! I still have it somewhere
4 of my favorites: Delta Force, Rainbow Six, Rogue Spear and Unreal Tournament.
This is a very solid list and played most of them back in the day
one must fall 2097 and jazz jackrabbit bring back some memories
One Must Fall 2097: The "we have Mortal Kombat at home" of the 90's
Bro u nailed it ... Awsome keep it up
Quake 3 moves at a pace that even modern shooters don't.. One of the greatest fps games ever made.. If you wanna get good at any fps train on quake 3
you should make a part 3!
Ah Supaplex, those r the memories : -D
Midtown Madness, Flight Unlimited, Age of Empires, Rainbow Six! Good times to be a PC gamer!
I got a compilation CD back when I was a kid. And there were a few games. Something with a bob in space. You had to jump on a bunch of blocks with him to fill in all the colors. Also another game on that compilation, a little bit like worms, but no worms and the environment was a lot closer.
Cannon Fodder had one the very best title songs imo, it felt bad when you lost your little guys and the level screen showed their gravestones.
I born in 1992 and lost great games :(
nice video dude
Still playing warcraft 2, C&C, red alert 1 n 2, dark reign, kknd xtreme, dune2k, doom, quake, diablo, armymen 2, duke nukem, age of empires on my windows 98SE machine..feeling nostalgic..
Give it a Video from the games 200-2006 too in the future?
Suggestions... Indycar Racing 1, 2, NASCAR Racing 2, Loadstar, Wingnut, Test Drive 4, 5, Test Drive Off Road 1, 2, 3, Descent 2, Need For Speed 2, 3 and Road Challenge, Bermuda Syndrome Colin McRae, Mobil 1 rally Championship, Time Runners, World Circuit

great work i love your work.
man I remember these games lol thanks for cataloging these would forgot the names of them
13:44 Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight came out in 1997, not 1998. ;) 1997 might have been the most over-the-top best year for gaming across all platforms - PC and consoles.
Nice to see Tribes getting some love.
Still cannot find the pc game I'm looking for it's in the back of my minddd
me too
One old game I enjoyed was Starwars: Rebellion.
90s gaming should go down in history.
Great job!
Hi I’m looking for a game. See 0:44 it’s like Pac-Man and they have differents world (underwater for example and at the end a boss in Space). Do you know what game it was ? I played in my childhood

Yes. Grim Fandango. Finally.
when i was a kid some of the stuff in these old games felt creepy and sometimes i had nightmares from it. and i miss it i never get nightmares anymore lol
Omg I almost forgot about this one it was by far my favorite as a kid…as well as Crystal Caves
I’ve missed Pandora Directive and Black Dahlia.
I was certainly not prepared for the...em, artistic liberties of Heart of Darkness when I played it back in the day
I'd love to suggest a handful of good (at least in my opinion) titles which were overlooked:
Blackthorne
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Shadowman
Uprise: Join or die
Dark Colony
7tn Legion
Take No Prisoners
Heretic II
Caesar III
The Settlers II
Operation Carnage
Comix Zone
Halloween Harry
Broken Sword franchise
archemidian dynasty!

I remember when I was kid playing MIB, I played with fear lol it was scary in that time
4:43 wow! didn't expect such level of graphics in 1994. amazing
That's why it was hand-drawn(timeless). Check out Dragon's Lair from the early 80s.
Been looking for Ecstatica2 for 20 years. Could never figure out the name. Played it as a demo as a kid.
There was Fighter Ace and Fighter Ace II, There was Titanic - Adventure out of time, there was G-Nome, There was Goosebumps - Escape from Horrorland. There was also Tzar - Burden of the crown.
Refreshed... Thanks by the way where i can find those pc games need to download

1:29 this game was the origin of ever first MMORPG game in pc from gravity Ragnarok online in early 2000
OMG! Outlaws was so good at that time. I have good memories of it. I have the ISO game, but it won't work on my Win10... ☹️😭😭😭😭😭
You guys missed out Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2!
Curse of Enchantia
those games are really cool
Everyone who just randomly remembered the games on your old windows 97'-98 computer and are now stuck in nostalgia computer game video hole Raise your hand pls

I wanted to cry when i saw the men in black
Total Annihilation - I still play it and it’s spiritual successor Supreme Commander
Dune 2 , Syndicate , Cannon fodder
Makes my eyes sweat.
I only recognize a couple of these in the only one I played was Unreal Tournament. I did play Wipeout but it was on the PlayStation and I think it was Wipeout 2 or 3
