I think this is awesome for 3 reasons. Simplicity, creativity, and beautiful result. Hats off to Daniel for the explanation and huge work related with blender and grease pencil.
Best quick video tutorials for 2d. Can you please explain how constrains and bones work in an assembled pupet like character animation. And if in turn arounds and flipping we could use frame by frame and back again to puppet ? And maybe export that system to a game engine for exemple ? Thx
Que bueno el tutorial. Infinidad de gracias para todas y todos que estais impulsando grease pencil y el opensource. Increible el potencial que tiene para crear.
This is great! Do you know if there's any way to simply keyframe those edges rather than using shape keying? I was trying this on some more complex images and trying to see if I can just have them move where I want on the timeline to get a similar "3D-ish" effect
making my own story, i already have action scenerarios written down, would love to animate them, but i dont know how to use Blender xT I keep watching all these tutorials and try to burn them into memory
This is very interesting technique, but I think you would get a better result with actually modeling the scene with 3d meshes and painting over it with grease pencil in "surface" mode.
Always remember to repent of your sins (sin is transgression of YAHUAH’S LAW: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, & Deuteronomy) And Have Belief On YAHUSHA HAMASHYACH. HE Died and Rose Again On The Third Day So that you can be forgiven of your sins! HE Loves you! Come to HIM!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Is there a way to export animations in 2D (made with grease pencil) to Unreal4? I've tried with fbx but it didn't work in Unreal Engine...
I think you might have to convert GP object to mesh first. But as far as i know UE doesn't have a Grease Pencil equivalent.
Un genio
