What a beautiful story... I would love to see the rebirth of arts and crafts all over the world, turning old towns into cultural and historical sanctuaries. Cities have grown too much, we need to start rethinking the way we live and our meaning of “progress”.
I was just thinking the same thing watching this video. Feeling so inspired by it. And yah, humanity definitely needs to rethink how we live in this world. So amazing that he completely reinvigorated an entire village!
@@lamThinker but that’s the point, what’s “moving forward”? Who determines what progress is? Building bigger and bigger cities with smaller and smaller appartments? Full of traffic, contamination and fewer trees and plants? I think there’s a flawed concept of progress that took us to very unhealthy lifestyles for us and also destructive to the environment. For me, progress from now on should be rethinking what we really need to live and took all the amazing knowledge and technology we have, to redesign how we live, with quality of life and sustainability as a goal, and not just “growth”. Going forward sometimes means stopping and taking another road.
I visited a Miao village in Hunan province two years ago. The Silverwork is absolutely amazing in person and their traditional dress if also very unique and different to han dressage.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful dream that became your new life. I hope you help many others dreams come true and may business keep you in riches in both mind and body and your pocket. Your work is so beautiful.... Be proud it is stunning.
They should make a website and accept custom job. With their skills for custom jewelry ordered by people who send in their own design for a custom jewelry, they would make so much money! I would order lol

I like the cities and think humans should continue moving forward. We should honor the past but not get stuck in it. A good balance of both is best.

It might take a village to raise a child, but it takes one man to keep a village alive!
He self-learned after only 2 months of apprenticeship, that's amazing. great on him for rejuvenating his village and its culture!
What a wonderful story. Very touching.
That town is Beautiful!
the yellowish filter they edited in was weird tho

can we get more Miao videos? I want to know more about my ppl.
Very inspiring video
I like the story, but I don't like the warm hue filter applied to the video. The filter makes it difficult to see the real Maliao village.
the hue makes it look super smoggy yeah
Always love seeing them make it in person when I wasd in Shanghai !
Beautiful works of art, an inspiring story indeed.
Thats amazing
Miao related to Hmong? Cultures seem similar...
