3:49 Lead and silver form an alloy and are separated from the slag. 4:37 Then the lead chemically combines with calcium carbonate (ash) and is separated from the silver.
That would be a pretty astounding recovery of silver from 15ish lbs. of rocks he started out with. It is possible, but usually the recovery in very high grade silver ore is like .1% silver (equals 32 ounces per ton). The recovery here looks at least 10X that amount.
True, but that usually isn't ore straight in the vein though which looks like what he has, they usually dig all around the vein now to get every little jibblet
This was so beautiful to watch. So many videos of idiot miners doing the processing. But this really highlights that it’s actually a very ancient process and is deeply rooted in tradition and history. Really enjoyed this. Thank you.
This is why silver is real wealth. The Federal Reserve can create their fiat currency in a millisecond with no effort on a computer screen while Silver is rare and requires a lot of work to create.
@@magnuscolable The ore they pull out of the ground is containing less and less silver per ton every year which means it’s becoming more difficult to produce an ounce of silver. It is not becoming more difficult to produce fiat currency which is why silver is real wealth and it’s real money while the dollar is a digital illusion of wealth. Keep stacking silver!!!
And on second glance it looks like the minerals from the rice maybe he uses some kind of solution to help aid in the flux or maybe it's just Ash from the rice. Using the clay to cupel the silver to fineness is beautiful, because it's probably close to 99% pure, as apparent by its resistance to tarnish at annealing temperatures.

Sehr Interessant und lehrreich
proses yang sangat panjang dan penuh kerja keras untuk mendapatkan sepotong perak 👍👍

Interesting!
That's a lot of work for $40 worth of silver!
It's not very pure. Maybe $8 worth of silver there. It has to be refined.
Muy interesante 👏👏

What you're describing is the value added to the ore by labor, not the silver ore itself.

@@swjackson917 You can't eat silver. Well, you can... but it doesn't provide as much nutrition as food purchased with fiat currency.
@@Kraus- Silver protects your purchasing power so in the future I can purchase more food, while food prices go up do to inflation.
@@swjackson917 If you're at the point of bartering because fiat cash has failed, you have much bigger problems that silver will not solve.

Is this guy using rice as a charcoal source for a reducing blast furnace to purify the ore?

铅被汽化?那这个方法炼银不是有剧毒?😱
🤔🤔🤔
應該是鉛融化之後能被爐灰吸入混合成一體,然後再被「氧化」成密陀僧,唯有藉此方法,才能分離銀鉛合金!
very nice and handicraft vid.
Sehr gut
Please translate video in English thank you
