When discussing Adam, the point is made that thr police have cleared him. My question is... wouldn't that be an investigative tactic to divert attention of the media while also making a suspect more comfortable, thus allowing the investigative team to gather information or possibly work with the suspect. This not only applies to Adam but all the individuals who have been "cleared."
Yeah you’re right. Just as they point out on this show before, being “cleared” really means nothing. They’re still allowed to investigate anyone especially when the evidence starts pointing to them. I’ve heard before that LE does not like to name a poi or a suspect until they’re sure they have some solid evidence because if they do then the suspect could just lawyer up and stop talking. So to your point it would be in their favor to lower the guard of really anyone around the investigation to keep communication open.

I don't think there is anything wrong with people discussing facts, rumors, or theories with the understanding that they're not playing with the same deck of cards as the investigators. Not that anything can be done about it anyway. I can't get behind harassing/accusing anyone or submitting tips based on anything that is not first hand knowledge. It is unfortunate that some people take it way too far.
I would imagine it’s probably a little more difficult because it’s a college town… younger people tend to not have as much trust in law enforcement and they don’t have as much experience and understanding in the repercussions of not being fully honest about what they might know.
From what I’ve seen everyone who comes forward with info is torn to shreds by keyboard sleuths. I wouldn’t want my name on every channel as a possible suspect just because I was at the same place same time as the victims. It’s ridiculous and makes LE jobs harder.
Why is no one talking about Hannah, who was bullied by Maddie and Kaylee, and committed suicide in February. I read her birthday was Nov 15th, which would be a Tuesday. What if this was a targeted hit to take place over a weekend? Do any of her friends or family own a white Hyundai Elantra? This crime seemed to be meticulously planned down to the time they would all be home, to the quickness of the murders, and not leaving a blood trail. Also, the dog had to bark at some point. He was locked away in a room for 10 plus hours. He had to be hungry and had to go to the bathroom. Where did Kaylee get the money for a $40,000 plus car ( 2016 Range Rovers are that expensive) and a trip to Europe for a month?
You are making assumptions. She had a job offer in hand and she may have taken a car loan as many people do. It is more like 35k or a bit lower and may be partially funded by her family. Or co-signed loan by her family for a car loan. You make it sound like she whipped out 40K+ and off she goes.
I live north of Moscow, Idaho 90 miles. When local news first broke (out of Spokane, WA, station) and news came out "targeted attack" and "no threat to public" I interpreted LE may had suspected a murder- suicide. When the press conference included University, and police, and other town heads it appeared as more of a PR press conference than a quadruple murder investigation.
I’m very interested in the white Hyundai found abandoned for the last four days in Eugene, Oregon. It was in an accident and the plates were removed. A trip that a neighbor who inserted himself in the case did and documented on social media. I get confused about the whole idea of armchair detectives. For example, we found this person who has been trying to get the attention of authorities about this car and we are putting it out there so it gets on their register. Should we not? Also, what tip is a bad tip? For example, I saw that a person associated with two of the victims workplace has an injury on his hand and cut all is hair off 3 days after the murders and has a friend who posted a kitten with handcuffs with audio that repeats him saying “murder them” right after the murders. Is this something to tip in? Or does LE just want tips from locals or people with direct contact? If so, they should talk about that and help people understand what tips help and what tips don’t help. I’m pretty sure no one sending in tip wants to make anything harder for detectives working the case… honestly, I’d love for you to cover some of these questions with a professional. Thanks so much for your videos I learn so much!
Of course You should give that info! Dont listen to the desperate apparatus at work to help the perp get away. They are everywhere, must have a lot of friends(doubt it) or rich powerful family. Idk
Do not tip in unverified rumours or anything from social media. The investigators have already said they are monitoring social media. You should only be sending tips for first hand information you have yourself. We have already seen what happened in the Delphi case with 77k tips from as far afield as the UK etc. It takes time away from real work, can cause a real tip to be lost in it all and wastes time. If you live there and have information tip it in if not don't. In the Summer Wells case the TBI had to make a statement telling people not to send tips from things they have seen on FB or TH-cam videos. The people who are posting stuff and making content would tip it in if it was real.
I've made sure that anything I say, I make sure there are no accusations. Because our Country's Judicial System stands on the Principle of "Presumption of Innocence'".
Whoever is responsible has to be watching the news. They know what their next step will be by watching what has transpired since the crime was committed!
Really, blaming the local media for not being serious enough early on? It's the cops' duty to get the word out for people to check their cameras. If police asked media for help with that, reporters would have jumped all over that.I usually like what your guests bring to the table, but these two seemed to want to dismiss police actions (ie, saying public is safe) rather than tell it like it is.
At this point it makes sense to warn the public they’re not safe. Of course this doesn’t benefit the college. They have to face it if they expect it to take years. They can’t have it both ways.
I believe it to be a losing battle to stop the public from speculating. The press and the media deserve to know and not every level of law enforcement should operate like the secret service. The family, above all others, deserve to know and to be treated as a partner in pursuing justice for their family members.
@Tina clearly you haven't been following the case. Everything from making statements and walking them back, to waiting three weeks to ask for public help in search for white car. Must be a relative.

As a member of the public, I am tired of being lectured by LE and former investigators for airing my opinions and theories. The “innocent until proven guilty” is a legal distinction and has nothing to do with me!!
The white car was used as a diversion - away from the crime scene. Whoever is involved has a great mind - throwing the PD off of the crime so it would be known as a cold case. Just what the perp wants.
More great insight. People keep saying SG is leaking information because he is grieving but I can't believe that. Its now at a stage where he definitely knows that he is jeopardizing the investigation and subsequent trial. So what is his angle? I absolutely see a law suit coming from him with all the talk of police failure but does he not care about justice, only capturing the killer? It makes no sense to me.
@@Terry-lh8cn Right now it's hard to say but I assume they are fine with it too or you would think we would have heard of them setting their lawyers on his one. It's just baffling really when you add up all the points of information he has given to the media that investigators now can't use in court or interrogation.
Clearly Steve Gonclaves has his own agenda to further his own interests. A gofundme account has been set up by his former boss so he is not a wealthy man and if he is unemployed then a lawsuit against Moscow police could be a motive to generate income.

No weapon will be found and not surprising. The weapon is something personal. It’s the tool to the killer. Why when he has done such a precise and methodical and meticulous job would he randomly toss out his hunting knife? I can’t for the life of me understand why it’s ever been a question or point of discussion?!!!
Did the NYPD Detective ever work on homicide cases with my brother, NYPD Homicide Detective, First Grade, Morty Dzikansky? He operated in both Manhattan North and South.
why would you dox your brothers name out into the world for no reason???? Seriously, delete the post and just send the question directly to the professor you want to ask the question.
Speculation: Kaylee locked the dog in a room. The basement was also locked. For the perp to wake persons behind a locked door could have gotten a 911 call out, a time consuming mistake they chose to make. The perp. may not have known which door to find more housemates. The reason for the speculation about the dog. Something was going with the security, and Xana's dad had to fix locks weeks prior. Therefore, to insure that the boy friend or a friend of the boyfriend did not take the dog without permission that night, it was locked away.
They have a suspect, that is a given. Like a game of Chess, strategy is necessary to capture, convict and win beyond a reasonable doubt. Whether family or public the burden of proof lies with the State. So media, the public and families will and should take a step back from speculation.
@Elaine Evans It makes me laugh the way they act like content creators are in the way when it’s probably gonna be a tip from them that solves the case. Did you see where the nerdy addict found out the university’s computer was down the night of the murder? I bet the university didn’t say anything about it. I think that whole town is in the university’s pocket.
@@MrProwlr1 Absolutely agree! If they were smart they'd get this solved ASAP before they lose potential students. Nobody is going to want to go to school there with a killer on the loose
Very sad that people call in bogus tips just to get attention. They waste investigators time. I remember a case where a young woman went missing in the Midwest. Her car had plates that read LITTLE MISS. Thousands of tips of this car being sighted were called in. When the case was solved the car was found buried on the murderers farm. He had the car on his property all the time. Please do not call in bogus tips.
Ahem... the video where M and K are walking (11/12) along the Rd at night with a guy - that guy is NOT Adam, it's hoodie guy Those 3 had just left the Corner Club/bar. The girls were just fine w hoodie guy. He walked w them for protection...as they walked to the Grub truck. The question asked to M was K wondering what she'd said to Adam, back before they left the bar. The agencies have properly ruled out Adam and the Hoodie guy of being the main perp. Even at the grub truck (even though the girls ran to a car to get home) the hoodie guy and Lrg tan coat guy got along just fine w social chatter, laughter etc. They weren't creepy. I think Hoodie guy was upset the girls split w/o giving him a lift too. The oversized black coat K had on was Hoodie guy's, he wanted it back. He was left to walk home, apparently the Frat house across the street from K n M's place.
Moscow Idaho is an interesting town. With the University of Idaho and its high profile Christ Church the increase in FBI personnel appears this case may be deeper than anyone thought?
I like some of the TH-cam content creators who are level headed. They’re not all bad. I get that the ones who use this or any story for clicks are gross but some have helped solve crimes.
Speculations and rampant commentary online is SCARY! HOWEVER, if I were in charge of this investigation, I’d have an agent or two (or more!) fiercely combing through social media. I agree that there’s lots of nothing to be found, however, leads may emerge and the murderer (s) may ALSO be hanging out on social media. But I’m sure the police has thought of all this…I hope.
It seems long to me since it wasn't just a little crime of one person in some quiet way but this is so big! Like four people in this small town in this manner??? How can their not have been evidence in the house or someone that knows something. It just seems so weird!!!
It’s video that is 40+ min, body cams, at the same time as the brutal murders about 200yards away. How is that not relevant? Additionally, the man walking w the girls is hoodie guy from the grub truck, Jack S. The Dad said Adam is a bartender. JackD, Kaylee’s ex, has a roommate or housemate who’s named Adam too. There’s a good amount of cameras on Main Street and stop lights which is good.
The detectives and everyone who worked on Chandler Halderson's case did a remarkable job. He committed the murders on the 1st of July. By the 8th, he was being interrogated and apprehended...
It's pretty good also that his girlfriends mother or her girlfriend pretty much witnessed him dumping his parents body parts into the tree line. Nothing that convenient for the guys in Idaho unfortunately.
He was apprehended quickly because a local farmer witnessed him walking the woodline of her property a few days before he eported his mother missing and that is where his mothers dismembered remains were found. plus, he lied to his parens that he had not been attending college. Pretty simple open and shut case.
The elephant 🐘 in the room of the longer version of the latest video concerning Adam are the cars in the background. Behind the girls is a dark car parked at an angle 3/4 of a block away. THEN a white truck slowly passes by and pulls up next to the black car (very closely) and it looks like they're talking. Following the girls? Hatching a plan?
I agree! We have seen at least five people I have looked like very good suspects. They aren’t all guilty, maybe not even one of them. Yet We have found Many reasons they could be the killer. Possibly ruining the innocent lives
Listen I did not drink in college. Still don’t. But I still went to parties with my church group. We would stay out until all hours. Some peoples places were more fun than others. My point is college kids party in all sorts of ways. It’s just the way it is. And we would sleep until noon. These kids were doing what college kids do. They did not deserve what happened to them.
I've lived in a once sleepy college town like Moscow for 42 years and yes, typical college past time is partying and those 4 students absolutely did not deserve to be murdered
Speaking of the bartender I wonder if he could be charged with overserving? Not sure what the laws are in Idaho and what the toxicology reports show but witnesses said both girls were very drunk.
I've heard the enhanced tape it's clearly a scream this guest doesn't even know the latest. The scream is at 2:55; am and would possibly nail down the time of murder. Totally insulting to listeners intelligence to misrepresent what is known then criticize.

Excellent guests. You should have them back sometime.
They’ll be back!
It was clear these were small town LE. They walked back on that. Mistakes do get made so nit picking is futile.
The fact that no one has been caught tells me the killer planned this for some time. He planned on leaving little evidence behind
Makes perfect sense.
I believe it to be a losing battle to stop the public from speculating. The press and the media deserve to know and not every level of law enforcement should operate like the secret service. The family, above all others, deserve to know and to be treated as a partner in pursuing justice for their family members.
If this case turns cold, it's on Chief that bundled everything in the beginning.
He didn’t bundle anything but in fact immediately called in help.
@Tina clearly you haven't been following the case. Everything from making statements and walking them back, to waiting three weeks to ask for public help in search for white car. Must be a relative.
@@gregorylibra5114 U might wanna check your facts because at the request of the moscow police the FBI and state police were brought in almost immediately like on the fourth day.
@@feralLove and if you had a clue about criminal investigations, you would know the " first 48 hours" are the most crucial of most murders investigations.
I'm sure the killer has a whole collection of knives, not just the one.
No …you got that wrong. They are not walking with a guy named Adam.
Correct. That is Jack Showalter, the hoody guy.
That had flow. Well done 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨✨
Flow with the go!
@@SurvivingTheSurvivor episode idea. Look into the Cleary Act. Law passed that universities have to provide threat and dangers in area of campus. But it’s not as easy to obtain as should be. And eye 👁️ opening
The 2 girls were not WALKING WITH ADAM!!!. They were walking with Jack S. Kaylee asked Maddie what she told Adam. Adam is not with them.
Thank you for another educational presentation. Much appreciated in this news climate.
As a member of the public, I am tired of being lectured by LE and former investigators for airing my opinions and theories. The “innocent until proven guilty” is a legal distinction and has nothing to do with me!!
I think Dr. Titus speculated upon something that is true: the murder's mother knows. This is just my feeling.
How do we know if the murderer's Mother is even alive?
Thank you for this.
A very complex
And complicated case! I bet it is going to take years… not weeks! Hold that beer!
Awesome episode👍
The white car was used as a diversion - away from the crime scene. Whoever is involved has a great mind - throwing the PD off of the crime so it would be known as a cold case. Just what the perp wants.
It’s not the police job to let the public know info. It’s their job to solve, arrest & prosecute this case. Stop it press & quote experts.
Thank u
More great insight. People keep saying SG is leaking information because he is grieving but I can't believe that. Its now at a stage where he definitely knows that he is jeopardizing the investigation and subsequent trial. So what is his angle? I absolutely see a law suit coming from him with all the talk of police failure but does he not care about justice, only capturing the killer? It makes no sense to me.
You have to wonder how the other 3 families feel about his actions.

I agree, less press conferences as long as we can be confident they are doing a good job!! The questionable HUGE mistakes they clearly made from the start put the people into a doubting state of faith in them.
Don’t get why it took them so long to take the cars.
This channel gets the BEST guests. Here for Justice for Dan Markel, but staying for the excellence.
They must hated Dan. Sad
Old dude professor think this is a CSI movie that can be resolve in 30 minutes! You are a journalist sir and not investigator! Patience is still a virtue! 😊
👏🏻👏🏻🗽🌴…again best guest
No weapon will be found and not surprising. The weapon is something personal. It’s the tool to the killer. Why when he has done such a precise and methodical and meticulous job would he randomly toss out his hunting knife? I can’t for the life of me understand why it’s ever been a question or point of discussion?!!!
I agree, most weapons are tossed away after the crime! So, it's not surprising they found no weapon!
Did the NYPD Detective ever work on homicide cases with my brother, NYPD Homicide Detective, First Grade, Morty Dzikansky? He operated in both Manhattan North and South.
why would you dox your brothers name out into the world for no reason???? Seriously, delete the post and just send the question directly to the professor you want to ask the question.
everything but the social and last address lol that'll show'em!!

Excellent!
They have a suspect, that is a given. Like a game of Chess, strategy is necessary to capture, convict and win beyond a reasonable doubt.
Whether family or public the burden of proof lies with the State. So media, the public and families will and should take a step back from speculation.
Absolutely
They have nothing! I truly believe they have nothing, they wouldn't need publics help if they had someone in mind
When would polygraphs be appropriate?
This horrific crime bears to much semblance to 'honor killings'.
Acoustics too low.
Strained to hear and gave up halfway through.
Every car will be phoned in apart from the one they are searching, you can’t tell me that car and the people in it have not see this news…
Do you put any stock in what Chris Mc Doughne says about finding that glove?
Hopefully, that elantra they found in Eugene Oregon is a good clue. Registered to the LLC that owns the king road property in Moscow, Idaho🤔
Yeah coming home from the YMCA this am I saw one Elantra older model white at Riverside and Margaret Street facing the Cummer Museum Jacksonville FL
If this white car is a red hering and this killer keeps under the radar... there's every chance this case will never be solved.
I don’t think Adam is a suspect, but I definitely believe he holds a lot of information
I do think if these 2 men had lost a child they would act more respectfully...
What?
Ahem... the video where M and K are walking (11/12) along the Rd at night with a guy - that guy is NOT Adam, it's hoodie guy
Those 3 had just left the Corner Club/bar.
I hope that none of the tips given,, slips through the cracks because the smallest one could solve this case.
Moscow Idaho is an interesting town. With the University of Idaho and its high profile Christ Church the increase in FBI personnel appears this case may be deeper than anyone thought?
Nefarious vibes for sure.
Wonder wht's the delay??.Could it be suspect/suspects not in the country!
It seems long to me since it wasn't just a little crime of one person in some quiet way but this is so big! Like four people in this small town in this manner??? How can their not have been evidence in the house or someone that knows something. It just seems so weird!!!
Only 113 Pieces of evidence collected!? That seems extremely low
Some crimes are easier to solve than others. This one has four victims and hundreds of DNA evidence to test.
He was apprehended quickly because a local farmer witnessed him walking the woodline of her property a few days before he eported his mother missing and that is where his mothers dismembered remains were found. plus, he lied to his parens that he had not been attending college.
Pretty simple open and shut case.
Chaz was also a colossal idiot.
Excellent
Thanks
I agree! We have seen at least five people I have looked like very good suspects. They aren’t all guilty, maybe not even one of them. Yet We have found Many reasons they could be the killer. Possibly ruining the innocent lives
Which guest is which? (I've only listened to the first minute-and-a-half.)
@@feralLove my college town was Ashland Oregon. Very much like Moscow. So heartbreaking
Notifying people to check video falls on the shoulders of the Moscow PD.
Speaking of the bartender I wonder if he could be charged with overserving? Not sure what the laws are in Idaho and what the toxicology reports show but witnesses said both girls were very drunk.
What an intro 👏 🙌 👌
Who would have a satellite trained on moscow idaho prior to this? It takes how long to image the US, much less in real time.
Everybody is gone home now!
Reddit report, on a white Elantra, left on the side of the road about 90miles away, wrecked, and sans license plates. Very sus.
Why can’t they give lie detector test to the closest friends and people that were around them?
Voluntary DNA submissions, too.
I've heard the enhanced tape it's clearly a scream this guest doesn't even know the latest. The scream is at 2:55; am and would possibly nail down the time of murder. Totally insulting to listeners intelligence to misrepresent what is known then criticize.
Guarantee you someone has called to report seeing a white Elantra in Hawaii.
Screen sound was enhanced by a sound expert and confirmed for police that the sound was not a screen but tires squealing.
What's with the thumbnail for this video??
On the questions, I don’t think the suspects sustained major injuries at all, easy to hide..
