    Having lived in a room in a lively student house, l can say that you get used to a certain noise level - at all hours of the night. Even quite boistrous noises are simply accepted as normal. If the killer was stealthy and fast - which l am of the opinion that he was - there would have been no reason for other house occupants to have thought any noises were anything out of the ordinary. Factor in possible alcohol consumption and there's your reason.

    • @suigeneris6397
      @suigeneris6397 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I agree, it's not suspicious that they didn't hear anything. First of all, I go to sleep with a loud fan and a TV on (with sleep timer), sometimes also with earphones listening to a podcast or something, maybe they do too. Secondly, in a house with college kids, sometimes even a scream wouldn't alarm you. Unless it's a bloodcurdling scream. If it was just screaming, yelping, yelling etc the surviving girls could have just thought they were playing pranks or play fighting upstairs. College kids can get pretty raucous. If was a safe town and there's no way the surviving girls could ever imagine there was mass murder happening, even if they did hear some strange noises.

    • @ricofreako5971
      @ricofreako5971 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All anyone has to do is watch the police cam when they were dealing with the noise complaint to realize that anyone living in that house is very well desensitized to noise and wild behavior.

I've taken and transcribed a plethora of criminal cases in my career. The work and professionalism and expertise of law enforcement is amazing.
    Also, a female coworker in my office at the Hartford courthouse I was assigned to was murdered three years ago, and the Meriden PD did a fantastic job and arrested her boyfriend. That case is awaiting trial in New Haven. Love the New Haven PD.

    Your Guest makes the very important part of Offender being injured. The Killer of Orsolya Gaal attended a Walk in Clinic and was advised lacerations were so deep He was advised to seek treatment at Bellevue Hospital. So indeed when NYPD Homicide tracked Him down His hands were indeed bandaged.

    • @Marcus_C51
      @Marcus_C51 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I've wondered about that too-if the killer did cut himself (I'm thinking he could've cut himself in the arm or a leg, maybe even cut through a thick glove during the frenzied attack), maybe he drove to Spokane to have the cut stitched up. I would think they'd check clinics and hospitals there in the couple of days after the murders. I was pleased that Lisa brought up checking all of hospitals for people receiving treatment, she even thought checking the entire state would be good. I think Washington state as well- Spokane I really think would be a prime area to check. Interesting that she thinks it's practically a given that the killer would've cut himself. I think she's probably right. I'm hoping that the advanced DNA blood analysis software they have now can separate different DNA in mixed blood samples. It could provide that break in the case.

    That case was a young girl who was I think 23yrs old and I think I remember her being fromThailand. Very smart and was about to get married in a four days. Her roommate or friend noticed that day she did not come home from working at the lab in the University, she found that suspicious and that same day went to the police. The police at first thought, cold feet. Her friend said, she is getting married and there is no way she would run off. However, like she said, they were able to sovlve the murder in 9 days because of the access card you need to get into the University and into the lab. Plus, there were cameras setup through out the hallways. So, the police had a lot of evidence to work with from the start.
    The police said her access card swiped to go into the lab and the camera never showed her leaving the lab. She disapeared. They searched everywhere and in a day or two, they found a blood stained top that looked like the top she was wearing seen in the camera. But it was not hers. In 4 days, one police officer noticed a foul smell near a wall and brought in a cadaver dog. It was really sad how she died. She was first already a petite girl, she was sadly raped and shoved behind a wall and the hole the guy put her body through was like the size of computer screen the police said. So her bones had to be crushed and broken so that he could put her body down behind the wall, The only other person that went in that day inside the lab, was a young man. The cameras showed him cleaning the lab with bleach when it was already cleaned up. Someone also pulled the fire alarm that day when there was no fire which he confessed to later. He was trying to create a lie that she left the building when the fire alarm went off and that he never saw her after that.
    The police bc they saw that he was the only other person in the lab that day with her (working separately not together). They called him in for an innocent asking of questions to throw him off. They asked him if he was willing to give DNA sample so that he can be written off as a susupect and he said yes and the rest is history.
    I literally just saw this case on YT that another channel did the story on. He was Amazing. So, no the case is no where the same bc they had so much more to work with,
    They never really got an answer as to why this young man killed her. They think he was obsessed with her and tried to ask her out and she said no. An Ex actually said, he does have a violent personality bc when she tried to break up with him he refused to and was violent towards her that she went to the police for protection.
    I am glad though her case did not become cold and it was solved. My heart went out to her family and her fiance. My brother was killed in 2005 and his case is a cold case. The police hardly talked to us and especially one, he never talked me and just ignored me and would only talk to my sister. Thank god the other detectives were not like him. Of course, I know they can't give every details but they hardly guided us either. They had evidence to work with, my brother's gf was there and was able to give brief descriptions from what she remembered bc it happened so quickly, the gun was found but the fingerprints did not match anything in the database, the cameras nearby showed the guys running however it was too grainy to identify them. Those guys are out there having a life, maybe they turned their lives around who knows. You still need to pay for killing someone. One Day, I feel it will happen.

When Lisa was discussing the survivors not hearing anything, possibly being under the influence, wearing earbuds, etc. and how the investigators would want to go at their deep psyche. I've heard of situations where LE has used hypnosis, perhaps put both of them under? That's correct..both survivors were hysterical therefore hyperventilating occurs and she passed out. She had already dialed 911 but neither of the survivors could speak. People walking by took the phone and spoke to 911 explaining she didn't know what was happening both two girls were hysterical and one fainted. Police arrived not knowing there was a murder scene inside. LE found the victims pretty quickly. There were several people who had accumulated outside due to the hysterical girls. One could barely explain that Ethan was injured..
      This info came from one of the people that gathered outside during the 911 call..neighbors, some walking dogs..

    By not disclosing any person of interest, there's still a very good chance the chain of evidence IS pointing to someone, it's just that the police know they need a watertight case. They don't want it to go tits up and they certainly don't want to spook any potential suspect. It's not about keeping the nosey public satisfied, it's about finding the perpetrator and ensuring they get a guilty verdict in court.

    @survivethesurvivor I’m not sure where I heard this or if it’s true about the 911 call. One of the roommates who found the scene was so hysterical that she fainted when she ran outside of the house. People or a person was around by then and they used her phone to call 911. So the roommate who fainted was the unconscious person and whoever tried to help her and call 911 had not been in the house so had no idea of the mess inside the house. That actually makes sense to me but again, dunno if it’s true.

      I do think the fact that the footage from that day didn't show a visible bloody trail out of the house indicates something. Some planning was done to avoid leaving a visible trail out of the house. Bags on shoes? Coveralls? I also think anyone using this knife to kill would plan for slippage and wear protective gloves.

I know this has been done at other schools and colleges to hopefully get people to open up more and gain more relevant information. So many students and someone has to know more about whom the killer or killers are. I know this information couldn't be released to the public.

    Also everybody wonders about people not hearing the crime in the house when it was being committed. But if you listen to all the neighbors in the area they repeatedly say that that house always had music playing at all hours of the night. I don’t know for sure but I think it’s very possible that out of the four individuals who had been out having fun on the town when they came home intoxicated very possible they put music on in their room while they were falling asleep and this could account for why they did not hear any thing happening in the house
    Just a thought

    @ispy6612 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think the girls on the 1st floor simply didn't hear anything loud enough or distressing enough to fully wake them up. They had been out to separate parties themselves. I also think the perpetrator was viewing the house from the woods located behind the house and simply didn't see the lights or motion on the 1st floor where their bedrooms were. He didn't know they were home, possibly didn't know that there were bedrooms located there, that's why he didn't go down the stairs to their rooms.
