About this place
Thank you for visiting our treehouse! Located 4 minutes from downtown Shepherdstown and 15 minutes from downtown Harpers Ferry. We would love to share it with other people who like to have fun! This treehouse has heating and air conditioning, a kitchenette with mini fridge, stove, toaster oven, gravity fed sink and kitchen utensils. There is a bath house built at the back of the host's house with conventional toilets and showers. There is also an outhouse with lighting and basic equipment. We also provide wood for fire pits.
Place
This treehouse is nestled among oaks and hickory trees 20 feet up a rock ledge overlooking our little holler. There is a 12x5 front porch with great sunset views and lighting for evening enjoyment. Inside there is a corner with large windows for relaxing, a mini kitchen with fed sink, mini fridge, double grill and toaster oven along with four benches. We provide kitchen utensils, pillows, sheets, towels and firewood for the outdoor fireplace. This loft is more suitable for children but is no problem for physically challenged adults too. We do not provide sheets for full mattresses in the loft, only pillows. The bath is on the back side of the host's house and is about a 30 second walk from the tree house. This outhouse is 50 feet from the treehouse and has lights and other basic amenities.
When you arrive, use the gravel driveway just off our home's paved driveway which has two silver gates. Park at the top of the driveway but feel free to unload near our big red workshop/barn. The path to the treehouse starts along the left side of the work shop.
I live on a country road and my neighbors are like family, so make yourself at home and feel free to view our property. We have one other Airbnb, “Comfortable School Bus”, on the other side of our property.
Guest access
The bath house is on the back side of the host's house and is about a 30 second walk from the bus. Please use the kitchen inside the host's house, give us advance notice. You are free to roam our backyard looking for sticks for the campfire or relaxing/playing games.
