As much as I LOVE edgy stuff, I have to agree. PPG was part of my childhood, it will be nice to keep its colorfulness and fun stuff. I also hope they won't push the characters into saying dumb stuff, I hope there's gonna be diversity (not some randomly people of color that say nothing and are there just to fill the background, but actual characters with morals and strenghts!!), the many issues our society has,but again, not the characters saying something dumb about it! Of course, I'm hoping for the fun villains and the battle scenes (that AGAIN I hope aren't gonna be made too dark and edgy, just bcs tHeY wAnT tO aDaPt iT tO aN aDuLt aUdIeNcE) They can add some darkness here and there, without exaggerating. A little late to the convo, but I'd love to see Buttercup in pastel colors and softer clothes! I feel like, out of the girls, she's the most "passionate" one - fiery, I mean -, so, when trying to dissociate themselves from their previous life, she'd be the one to go through the most drastic change in wardrobe. I also imagine that, because her past self and who she's trying to be would be constantly clashing, some aspects of how she used to dress (black, leather, neon green, tomboyish) would pop up here and there as well. And, maybe, once they went back to fighting crime and Buttercup "reconciled" with her past life and with her childhood, her inner tomboy would come out again and she'd find a perfect balance between tomboy and soft girl. Also, I don't see her leaning towards an e-girl/punk/goth aesthetic simply because, among the girls, she (from I can remember) has always come off as the most effortless one; thus, I don't see her going out of her way to do that.
I mostly agree on Blossom being Law School student being her loving Justice and all. Bubbles is like kid Stella. She loves laughter and she loves bright and sunny environment and crowds. She is your typical blonde. Flowershop owner is fine but I thought she could be an Idol or something related to Celebrity. Buttercup is all about stubbornness and fighting spirit. She could be a Sportswoman. Like a female boxer or something like that. A laywer, a celebrity and a boxer sometimes meet up for old time's sake and Blossom telling about nowadays crimes and in the end these girls with totally different kind of backgrounds came back when the world is about to end. Could have been a good plot.

I don’t know how the art direction will be but i have hope for the plot/ writing because Diablo Cody. I get what you mean about super hero movies. I would say that Black Panther is an example of one case where the costumes, and art direction, story all fit really well together. Other movies don’t really come close or on that level.

Blossom as a lawyer (to fight for justice in a non violent way) with a kind of layered clean look (but it can still be girly and accessorise with small flowery jewelry and such). Buttercup is totally like a messy punk or grunge, I think she might still be into martial arts and physical activities, even though the others quit she might still sometimes fight crime secretly on her own. That's just how I see them in the scenario where they quit. But if it truly is like a super dark version idk if they even would have career stuff going on or if they're just dealing with trauma and trying to get over it, hard to say.
I have to disagree about the Marvel films. Certainly some of them them do not have a good style, but a lot of them do have good style and are very colorful. The ones that come to mind are Thor Ragnarock, Gaurdians of the Galaxy, the first Avengers film, Black Panther, and Captain America: The First Avenger. They certainly have more darkness since they are superhero films, but they all have very consistent feels and you can tell a lot of artistic work went into giving them their particular feel.
...Us getting another 'The Last Airbender' and me being a lil' Writer made me think: Can i do a better and more compelling story in 5 Minutes flat?! So i tried! Tell me your thoughts on this: A Lab Experiment has created 3 Lil' Girls with Superpowers, which is especially incredible because their World already has a Power-System! 'Nen' from HunterxHunter!! Its hidden and unkown to the public though, but their 'Father'/Creator, happens to be something of a low-key Nen-Expert, so he starts to teach them, as well as the Neighbour Boy who happens to accidently overhear a talk about Nen, so he just gets included cause hes nice. Its wholesome and interesting, the dynamics grow and so does their Power: But then, Buttercups Decision to step over her shadow and ask the other 3 to help her make a really smart Nen; something which she was proud on having done, BACKFIRED! Her Nen of the Enhancement Type was so effective in its property of 'growing over time' that she became literally too strong. Her Family-Bonds had backfired and turned her Situation in something very similar to 'Kevin.E.Levin' from Ben 10! The stronger she grows, the smaller her control and even Sanity gets!! From then on, one of the Sister detoriates, which of course affects all other Characters (as Character Dynamics should do, duh). How it affects them, you ask? Well, they try to help, of course, but theres a spin to that: Blossom, as smart as she was and as 'enthuastic about being smart' as she was (if you get what i mean) had created 3 whole Nen-Abilities in a short time, which was nice and all... but it backfired! She was the only one after all with the brain and creativity to make a new Abilitiy that would then save/heal Buttercup! But... but she had used up all her Memory-Space! Her Powers were nice and good and effective, yes, but useless for helping Buttercups Status - so she could do nothing. All the pressure therefore fell on Bubbles; and to put it simply: Pressure aint good for lil' Bubbles. The Professor meanwhile? Their Sensei and Daddy-o? He was feeling guilty. If only he had been a better Teacher, it wouldnt have come like this. Even if just for the topic of memory-space being something to preserve - the Crisis could have been prevented. What do do? What... to... do... Eventually, they overcome the crisis, only to find a new Crisis arise: John, their friend they hadnt seen in a while, had become a True Monster (i mean, figuratively, not Big and Hairy and with 2 Heads; no)! He was using Mastery over Nen for Evil! But what had happened while they hadnt looked? Well, you see... The unfortunate Truth is that some young people stay as long in School as they can... just to avoid going Home. Some people in Real LIfe do that; they do outside-activities, fearing their family and the time at home. This kid was the same. Fearing his bad parents, it was always a Bliss to play around with the Neighbour Girls; but when he started learning Nen with them, which did not only cost even more time (to his glee) but, thanks to his massive Talent, even gave him never-before-levels of Inlcusion and Praise, all this just intensified. So when they excluded him, being busy with the family-crisis, of course stopping all the Nen-Lessons and even Play-Dates, he was fully back in the Dark. And being trapped at Home wasnt healthy for him; so just 1 Bully-Moment at school tipped him over and started a downwards-spiral, leading to True Evil. ... Well, 5 Minutes over, so please judge now; and share.

Tbh I hate how all CW shows are "darkified" version of pre-existing shows. Like, if you're going to suck the whole life out of a show, might as well start with a blank slate, because the show becomes so far detached from it's original material that it almost feels like a completely different show. There's a place and time for making dark shows, but I feel like they should just make their own characters. Specially since the powerpuff girls is such a hard show to remake

Honestly I despise live action versions of cartoons because they'll never match the energy of the original. The Powerpuff Girls (1996 - 2005) was an amalgamation of everything that Craig McCracken watched as a kid, which is reflected in the 1950's, 1960's style of architecture in Townsville, or the sound effects ripped straight from anime.
I think bubble would be more flirtatious as a teenager & would be like a babysitter at a rich house like maddy to try out expensive clothes. I also think she would also have a toxic relationship with a rich guy to get expensive stuffs but I think she would realise that she isn't materialistic & would date some good guy & be a school teacher or an artist

...Us getting another 'The Last Airbender'
and me being a lil' Writer made me think:
Can i do a better and more compelling story
in 5 Minutes flat?!
So i tried!
Tell me your thoughts on this:
A Lab Experiment has created 3 Lil' Girls
with Superpowers,
which is especially incredible because their World
already has a Power-System! 'Nen' from HunterxHunter!!
Its hidden and unkown to the public though, but their 'Father'/Creator,
happens to be something of a low-key Nen-Expert, so he starts to teach them,
as well as the Neighbour Boy who happens to accidently
overhear a talk about Nen, so he just gets included cause hes nice.
Its wholesome and interesting, the dynamics grow
and so does their Power: But then, Buttercups Decision
to step over her shadow and ask the other 3 to help her
make a really smart Nen; something which she was
proud on having done, BACKFIRED!
Her Nen of the Enhancement Type was so effective
in its property of 'growing over time' that she
became literally too strong.
Her Family-Bonds had backfired and turned
her Situation in something very similar
to 'Kevin.E.Levin' from Ben 10!
The stronger she grows, the smaller her control
and even Sanity gets!!
From then on, one of the Sister detoriates, which
of course affects all other Characters (as Character
Dynamics should do, duh).
How it affects them, you ask?
Well, they try to help, of course, but theres
a spin to that:
Blossom, as smart as she was and as
'enthuastic about being smart' as she was (if you get what i mean)
had created 3 whole Nen-Abilities in a short time,
which was nice and all... but it backfired!
She was the only one after all with the brain and
creativity to make a new Abilitiy that would
then save/heal Buttercup!
But... but she had used up all her Memory-Space!
Her Powers were nice and good and effective, yes,
but useless for helping Buttercups Status - so she
could do nothing.
All the pressure therefore fell on Bubbles;
and to put it simply: Pressure aint good for lil' Bubbles.
The Professor meanwhile? Their Sensei and Daddy-o?
He was feeling guilty. If only he had been a better Teacher,
it wouldnt have come like this.
Even if just for the topic of memory-space being something
to preserve - the Crisis could have been prevented.
What do do?
What... to... do...
Eventually, they overcome the crisis,
only to find a new Crisis arise:
John, their friend they hadnt seen in a while,
had become a True Monster (i mean, figuratively,
not Big and Hairy and with 2 Heads; no)!
He was using Mastery over Nen for Evil!
But what had happened while they hadnt looked?
Well, you see...
The unfortunate Truth is that
some young people stay as long in School as they can... just to
avoid going Home.
Some people in Real LIfe do that; they do outside-activities,
fearing their family and the time at home.
This kid was the same. Fearing his bad parents,
it was always a Bliss to play around with the Neighbour Girls;
but when he started learning Nen with them, which did not
only cost even more time (to his glee) but,
thanks to his massive Talent, even gave him
never-before-levels of Inlcusion and Praise, all this just intensified.
So when they excluded him, being busy with the family-crisis,
of course stopping all the Nen-Lessons and even Play-Dates,
he was fully back in the Dark.
And being trapped at Home wasnt healthy for him;
so just 1 Bully-Moment at school tipped him
over and started a downwards-spiral,
leading to True Evil.
...

Tbh I hate how all CW shows are "darkified" version of pre-existing shows. Like, if you're going to suck the whole life out of a show, might as well start with a blank slate, because the show becomes so far detached from it's original material that it almost feels like a completely different show. There's a place and time for making dark shows, but I feel like they should just make their own characters. Specially since the powerpuff girls is such a hard show to remake
yeah, you have to really have a reason for remaking something in a way that is so far removed from the original!

I laways tough Bubbles is more like Sonata than Aria now i see the difference but i think Sonata hair is similar with that of Buttercup Power Puff girls in the 3rd universe also serve in the US Army also serve in the police later.

@@LisaFevral Most of this is because of the comic books, because they are so heavily based off of the comics they want it to seem believable but also give that nostalgia to their original viewers
the newest season (animated) is kinda bad already, it doesn't show the girls as actual superheroes as well as the older ones

Honestly I despise live action versions of cartoons because they'll never match the energy of the original. The Powerpuff Girls (1996 - 2005) was an amalgamation of everything that Craig McCracken watched as a kid, which is reflected in the 1950's, 1960's style of architecture in Townsville, or the sound effects ripped straight from anime.

I think bubble would be more flirtatious as a teenager & would be like a babysitter at a rich house like maddy to try out expensive clothes. I also think she would also have a toxic relationship with a rich guy to get expensive stuffs but I think she would realise that she isn't materialistic & would date some good guy & be a school teacher or an artist

nonooo Jenifers body actually has a lot of good stuff going for it, even though it's messy, but live actions in general are kind of never done right (most of the time)
