We travel Kuala Lumpur to Singapore via Eltabina jaya express, very nice and comfortable ride we depart at lunch time we arrive in Singapore 5pm! Nice experience seeing those Palm trees along the highway!
You should try another bus carrier on the same route, Aeroline. They have an onboard toilet, seats fitted with onboard entertainment screens, and meals provided onboard. They depart from Harbourfront Centre in Singapore and arrive at Corus Hotel KLCC in Kuala Lumpur.
I used to take Firstcoach very frequently previously. What I like about Firstcoach (over Aeroline) is that it is not a double decker bus, hence, it is more stable and tend to move at a higher speed. Most of the time the trip take about 4 hours.
I had one of those "high speed" runs from KL to Singapore. It was 3 hours from KL station to Tuas (2nd link) at Singapore immigration. He was doing about 160kph most of the way early one morning.
Aeroline is another fantastic product worth checking for this route. It comes with an onboard toilet and it has 3 different stops in Greater Kuala Lumpur.
We have this type of Bus here in Argentina, but with a toilet, and 180-degree recline seats...! Warm food, sodas, wine, whisky, coffee and tea... Only 3 1-2 seats rows downstairs, and more similar seats upstairs... Of course, the time of the journey coud take more time than your review (between 10 to 15 hours to travel, perhaps 1,000 to 1,200 kilometres --- 625 to 750 miles --)...
We stopped having toilets in our buses because of baby dumping cases in the 90s. Plus our highways have plenty of rest areas complete with food courts and toilets.

I've been to Singapore several times many years ago, but only in transit to other destinations but did stay in the Raffles Hotel.
Amazing value for seats that you would normally pay thousands of pounds for on a flight in business class. Having said that, really surprised at the lack of onboard toilets and WiFi.
I used to take this coach ride every few weeks during my stay in Singapore between 2014-2017. The route is more or less the same but it started from Novena Square where was walking distance to my home in Singapore. It terminated in One World Hotel near 1 Utama shopping centre, where I can easily take a Grab to my home in Sri Damansara. I prefer the coach ride over taking a flight, because of the distance between home and the airports in both cities, plus the peaceful hours of a scenery road trip. I still remember the mileage marks along the highway which might give a hint of how far from the only comfort stop enroute at Pagoh.
For any EP holders of Singapore, you need to take visa to enter Malaysia. The Bus will stop at Malaysian side of the border - it will take exactly 45-50 minutes to get VOA. Tell the bus driver clearly and then go take visa. My driver got really cranky and it was my first time through road to Malaysia.
I used to take either Sri Maju or Transtar double decker to either KL or Genting Highland. But nowadays Transtar single deck only go Genting Highland. Yes, Transtar is great and comfortable to travel with 👍
Good video. I had travelled in this route frequently till year 2014. Grass Land , Five Star , Sri Maju , Gunag Raya were popular bus operators those days. Transtar claims professional but it seems they provide pretty ordinary service. I feel they should pump fuel prior to start and do pre checks , cleaning , earlier not to waste passengers time. More than comfort we should find operators who adhere safe driving and employ quality drivers with skills. Many companies never give rest and make the drivers to drive both night and day. It is best to board bus in the afternoon and night around 10 PM. This gives good break for drivers after they arrive from Malaysia. Taking buses from Johore also value for money. Trans Nasional , Indha are good operators.
Aeroline is better. I used to work in Singapore, and whenever I go back to my country, Malaysia, I'll take the Aeroline bus. I took First Coach once before, and the bus left me at the Malaysian checkpoint without waiting for me. I was shocked and panicky!! Luckily I got a free ride back from another bus coach company ( I guess the driver took pity on me, on seeing how panic I was. 😆) Never will I take First Coach again even if it's cheaper then Aeroline. I stick back to Aeroline. They give good service with a safe smooth journey and two bus terminal destination to choose from.. One in KL, and one in Petaling Jaya, (at One Utama shopping centre) which is very near to my home. Anyway, thank you for sharing. 👍 Nice video.
Never did the bus from SG to KL before - but flew a few times. Having seen this, I would be tempted to do the bus at least once - although Changi airport is a pleasure to fly from (particularly for Residents / Pass holders - Seat of A380, to luggage pickup to terminal door - record was 20 mins!). Only huge downside was no toilet. I would not do a 5.5 hour journey being worried about drinking water and needing to go ! The cleanliness thing was a little surprising - Singapore is the cleanest place I have ever lived - so this was abnormal...
Meanwhile Golden Mile Complex/Tower (where many international coaches, including this one, depart from) is a huge contrast to Changi Airport, with choked toilets & heavily oxidized false ceilings that collapsed over the taxi stand last year. Supermarkets there was also raided by police for selling pig blood & that area is known to be more sleazy too with its numerous nightlife establishments
Bro, you may wish to take Aeroline bus from HarbourFront in Singapore after alighting at Changi Airport to KL. It has an onboard toilet. On top of that, 1x hot meal, 1x hot drink(coffee, tea or hot chocolate), 1 bottle of complimentary water, socket and inflight(bus) entertainment at every seat. Super generous legroom(I can fully stretch out my legs). Pillows and blankets are provided(will be collected back near the end of the trip) as well.
No toilet.....shouldn't be an issue !!! the bus will stop at least once at many "pit stop" aka RR (rest station) along the highway. Roughly about one pit stop every 50km along the highway. This pit stop provides all the necessities for travelers....clean toilet, restaurant, fruit kiosk, prayers hall, petrol stations ....even Starbucks and Mac D also there (not all...). Due to this reason most of the bus navigating through malaysia don't have the toilet in their coach anymore.
Your bus went on the "AYE" expressway, then took the Tuas border crossing which is in the West of Singapore, but the illustrated route on your map states it going via the Woodlands checkpoint, which is in the North. Minor error to most, but being the Geography nerd I am I felt I have to point it out 😅

The interior of this long distance luxurious bus is so beautiful and the seats are just like in business class of the ✈️✈️✈️. Distance traveled from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is 368 kms and time taken is 5 to 6 hours. It's the same time taken to travel from Bangalore, in Karnataka to Chennai, in Tamilnadu by train and bus and the distance between these 2 cities are 350kms. Whereas the domestic flight ✈️ journey from Bangalore to Chennai takes exactly 1 hour.
I was a tour guide for many years and I can say (and most of the bus drivers will confirm it) that buses and toilets don't mix well together. On one hand most of the passengers are too shy to enter the toilets in sight of the others and on the other the toilets themselves are tiny, uncomfortable and prone to failure. In addition to this, drivers are often those who must clean them. In Europe you will see very few of them these days.

I think the absence of a toilet is a good idea as long as there are rest stops. It's one less thing to be cleaned and on-board loos tend to give rise to a bad smell. Nice legs, BTW:)

Ah, nearer my part of the world. The bus looks fine, but I think I would still fly - your point about immigration holding the whole bus I have experienced. You were also very lucky that traffic approaching KL was so light.

I always used to get the coach or train from Johor Bahru Larkin terminal to KL , it's half the price. I read it costs the same number of ringits as Singapore dollars , as originally they had the same value.
I used to travel by Transtar before, and at that time according to their schedule, they would make 2 rest stops between Singapore and KL. Never mind that they only made a single stop, but I gave up after the bus just kept going until I asked for a toilet stop, and it only stopped at Ayer Keroh. That was the last time I took the bus ever again. Not worth the extra money and also I find that Grassland, though cheaper, at least it makes a stop at Yong Peng, which is much nearer

Public buses are mainly wheelchair accessible, i have never heard or seen charter bus having this function. SGD 60 is pretty affordable for a long distance journey too
I took this bus 8/11/22. The bus hv service crew, serve water, coffee, gv u blanket if u r cold. The lunch i dont expect it to be so tasty that i hv finished up. The seats also provide individual screen to watch movie. I sure my next trip i will book e same company Transtar Solitaire.
It 'appears' that normal airline carry on luggage will have to into the storage bins. Not much room at seats for anything other than a small back pack. Also no over head racks can be seen. I am sure this is normal for all these buses.
Go for Aeroline. You will appreciate the onboard clean toilet. I won't travel on anything without toilets. Got a scary experience when bus don't stop for toilet break
I am not convinced. I travelled around in Latin America in 2004-2005. Sure, there were old american school busses that you had to take in Guatemala. But in, for example, Argentina I would say that they had busses that match everything that you show us today, except the electronic "lull-lull" that didnt exist at that time. They were all Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes-busses, which you could see on small "stickers" on the side of the busses. On the front and the back of a bus you could see the logo of the company that had produced the interiour of the buss. In Argentina there were two main companies that competed for that market, and they were both very high-end.

I wouldn't call it world's most luxurious bus. Maybe most luxurious for South East Asia. Until you go Japan, then you will know what's call luxurious. The most bumpy part of the bus is the last seat where you are seated. Another problem with these buses you take, they hardly maintain. For those who mentioned about toilet, well there are a several reasons why they are NOT fitted. 1. Needs cleaning all the time and maintenance which cost money which make the bus fare more expensive. They either hire a cleaning lady or the concierge lady have to clean it. 2. It's the toilet - in long run there will be smell (no matter how you clean it) 3. Nobody wants to seat next to a toilet as it smells and noisy 4. They usually stops twice along the highway (plus when you reach customs - Singapore or Malaysia you can try to clear your bladder as much possible!) 5. Just inform the bus driver - he will stop for you as I have tried it several times. It's only 5-7 mins stop, so nothing to be shy off. Never hold your urine as your bladder will get infected. 6. Bus company can have extra 2 seats to sell instead of fitting a toilet as stopping for toilet break doesn't cost money. Hope everyone understand now why toilet is rarely fitted nowadays.

If you are advertising yourself as 'The World's Most Luxurious Bus' I think having a toilet is a must. And (although not as important) a wifi. Some coaches you can have kitchenettes and drinking water taps installed as well.
Well, that seat is fantastic and unmatched anywhere else, no dispute there. But the bus itself is rather normal, and the lack of a toilet is absolutely unacceptable! You should take a long-distance bus in Brazil --- since it's a HUGE country, there are trips of up to 5 days and over 4,000 km! But of course there are also many shorter routes, and while the quality and features of the buses and the seats vary widely between bus companies and routes, many are outstanding, and ALL long-distance buses have toilets. There is no food service, but a fridge with lots of sealed glasses or small bottles of mineral water is usually available for free for all passengers. Air conditioning, two decks, USB ports, and even WiFi are all quickly becoming standard, and at least in the more developed Southeast and South regions, the road stops are huge, clean and well-fitted food courts as in a shopping mall. Well worth the experience.

I think the absence of a toilet is a good idea as long as there are rest stops. It's one less thing to be cleaned and on-board loos tend to give rise to a bad smell. Nice legs, BTW:)

Ah, nearer my part of the world. The bus looks fine, but I think I would still fly - your point about immigration holding the whole bus I have experienced. You were also very lucky that traffic approaching KL was so light.
I've flown the route business class and economy with MH and for most people, that probably makes most sense.
The rattling sound though, from the tray table at the back? Maybe can adjust it to be "in use" position instead next time, if no one is occupying the back seats
I always used to get the coach or train from Johor Bahru Larkin terminal to KL , it's half the price. I read it costs the same number of ringits as Singapore dollars , as originally they had the same value.

I used to travel by Transtar before, and at that time according to their schedule, they would make 2 rest stops between Singapore and KL. Never mind that they only made a single stop, but I gave up after the bus just kept going until I asked for a toilet stop, and it only stopped at Ayer Keroh. That was the last time I took the bus ever again. Not worth the extra money and also I find that Grassland, though cheaper, at least it makes a stop at Yong Peng, which is much nearer

Public buses are mainly wheelchair accessible, i have never heard or seen charter bus having this function.

I took this bus 8/11/22. The bus hv service crew, serve water, coffee, gv u blanket if u r cold. The lunch i dont expect it to be so tasty that i hv finished up. The seats also provide individual screen to watch movie. I sure my next trip i will book e same company Transtar Solitaire.

It 'appears' that normal airline carry on luggage will have to into the storage bins. Not much room at seats for anything other than a small back pack. Also no over head racks can be seen.

I travelled around in Latin America in 2004-2005.
Sure, there were old american school busses that you had to take in Guatemala.
But in, for example, Argentina I would say that they had busses that match everything that you show us today, except the electronic "lull-lull" that didnt exist at that time.
They were all Scania, Volvo, and Mercedes-busses, which you could see on small "stickers" on the side of the busses.
On the front and the back of a bus you could see the logo of the company that had produced the interiour of the buss.
In Argentina there were two main companies that competed for that market, and they were both very high-end.

I wouldn't call it world's most luxurious bus. Maybe most luxurious for South East Asia. Until you go Japan, then you will know what's call luxurious. The most bumpy part of the bus is the last seat where you are seated. Another problem with these buses you take, they hardly maintain.
For those who mentioned about toilet, well there are a several reasons why they are NOT fitted.
1. Needs cleaning all the time and maintenance which cost money which make the bus fare more expensive. They either hire a cleaning lady or the concierge lady have to clean it.
2. It's the toilet - in long run there will be smell (no matter how you clean it)
3. Nobody wants to seat next to a toilet as it smells and noisy
4. They usually stops twice along the highway (plus when you reach customs - Singapore or Malaysia you can try to clear your bladder as much possible!)
5. Just inform the bus driver - he will stop for you as I have tried it several times. It's only 5-7 mins stop, so nothing to be shy off. Never hold your urine as your bladder will get infected.
6. Bus company can have extra 2 seats to sell instead of fitting a toilet as stopping for toilet break doesn't cost money.
Hope everyone understand now why toilet is rarely fitted nowadays.

If you are advertising yourself as 'The World's Most Luxurious Bus' I think having a toilet is a must. And (although not as important) a wifi. Some coaches you can have kitchenettes and drinking water taps installed as well.

Well, that seat is fantastic and unmatched anywhere else, no dispute there. But the bus itself is rather normal, and the lack of a toilet is absolutely unacceptable! You should take a long-distance bus in Brazil --- since it's a HUGE country, there are trips of up to 5 days and over 4,000 km! But of course there are also many shorter routes, and while the quality and features of the buses and the seats vary widely between bus companies and routes, many are outstanding, and ALL long-distance buses have toilets. There is no food service, but a fridge with lots of sealed glasses or small bottles of mineral water is usually available for free for all passengers. Air conditioning, two decks, USB ports, and even WiFi are all quickly becoming standard, and at least in the more developed Southeast and South regions, the road stops are huge, clean and well-fitted food courts as in a shopping mall. Well worth the experience.
