Hindolam is soothing to listen! Since it has no Rishabham and Panchamam, symmetrical in both ascending and descending scales, it lends itself very well to improvisation.Though its parent ragam is supposed to be 20thMelakarta Natabhairavi, many would like to associate it with the 8th Melakarta, Hanumatodi!
"Deva devam bhaje divya prabhavam...ravanasura vairi rana pungavam ".....,have listened long back this Annamayya Keerthana m sung by MS S Amma together with Radha Viswanathan Amma . Thats so exclusive....happy to see the duo known as TK sisters have sung this with the perfect tone and diction. Very promising singers,, Very good swaeakalpana....Best Wishes !
