Trains at London Kings Cross, ECML - 6/11/18

- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at London Kings Cross on the East Coast Main Line where services are seen by London North Eastern Railway, Grand Central, First Hull Trains, Great Northern and Thameslink (GN and TL are brands of TOC Govia Thameslink Railway).
A magnificent station as always, Kings Cross once again impressed with its architecture, frequency and welcoming atmosphere. This station is home to a great deal of variety as well and the destinations are so varied that it seems a train goes or terminates somewhere else every time! It was nice to see the 700s here, I must admit that I never knew they were here before the day began. There was a bit of a scare at the beginning as I thought I was going to be questioned, but this was the first Network Rail station that isn't Bristol Temple Meads or Reading that I filmed without asking which was fine as staff were ok with it. An amazing station, one I will always come back to.

5:05 each time spirit of Sunderland goes to Sunderland it has to stop at Newcastle. Bet it gets a great reception

For future reference, just refer to the services run by 700s out of King’s Cross as Great Northern services, as that’s how they are labeled in the timetable.
They're actually labelled as Thameslink. Great Northern operate their own services.
Oh, well that’s weird, because it is not shown on the Thameslink route map

I never since HullTrains go to Bound Green just LNER and Grand Central. Hull Trains go to Hull Sidings (Hull Station).
