I'll take this rare opportunity to say that I really appreciate you and your channel so much. You're absolutely one of my favourite channels on youtube, and you have one of the most unique and humane personalities. Thanks for everything!
I really appreciate a classic delicious, yet relatively easy recipe. With food costs soaring for many of us, its nice to see these types of recipes that can help families eat healthy and not go over budget.
As someone that loves to cook but also travels a lot and uses airbnbs that don’t always have fancy equipment, thank you so much! This looks very easy and equally delicious, a lovely meal for hosting guests or enjoying as a family. Very well done.
Great cooking without dramatic , but I would put the veggies roasting after a certain amount of time ( let’s say half an hour ) adding them to the chicken roasting . It would have been easier .
Congratulations on reaching 3m Subscribers! 🎉 It’s because you are teaching us how to prepare, cook & love fresh food. An endless variety of simple & complex but always tasty dishes served with humor & well edited videos And you always list the recipe in the Description 👍🏼 Thanks Andy, Babe & your team! 👌🏻
Thank you chef. Love all your videos. Your videos is very laid back and relaxing. You made it all feel simple and easy. No stress and no complexity. Tried some of your recipes. Love from Malaysian living in Sweden. Keep it coming chef.
Great looking dinner. These videos remind me of old-school late 90s early 2000 food network. Fun, easy to follow actual cooking instructions! Thanks and keep up the great work!
Learning good stuff following you❤. I have always been to impatient to let roasts rest. You explained why, I let my corned beef rest last night and got much thinner and sandwich ready slices. Nice results ❣️ making pea soup with the left overs today. Could you do a short series where you run through really using your main big piece of meat. Like this chicken you are doing. A chicken stir fry with the left overs or sandwiches. Then a comforting soup to finish. There are food shortages world wide, chefs can help people stretch thier food/nutrition budget ❤️
As an avid outdoor cooking enthusiast, I've used a number of grills, including the Traeger+. Recently, I made the switch to the ASMOKE Essential and it has been a game-changer. The ASMOKE Essential not only offers a variety of cooking options, but it also has a precise temperature control which was something I found lacking in my previous grill. The best part? The distinct smoky flavor the wood pellets impart to the food, making my roast chicken extra delicious! Plus, it's portable and battery-powered, which means I can take it anywhere I go. It's made my camping trips more enjoyable and my backyard BBQs a hit. Couldn't be happier with the switch to ASMOKE! #Asmoke
This really resonates as we tend to bring a "kitchen box" to Air BnB's but it only works if it's driving distance. When I fly, I lean on sheet tray dishes or braises to feed the crew (sometimes up to 20 people!) Great guidance on making do without all your tools
Whoever owns that place should feel honored that Andy prepared a meal in that kitchen ! WOW!! What skills, what confidence, what a lesson !!! Thank you🎉🎉
Thank you Chef Andy, on another recipe, I made your Pork Adobo last weekend and LOVED it because the taste reminded so much of Samoan Chop Suey (supasui) from my childhood days. Your channel is the best for simple easy to do day to day affordable recipes. Faafetai lava Chef Andy ❤
Legend! Thanks again Andy. Would be cool to get a masterclass on how you go about presentation for home cooked meals - i always end up heaping everything on to a plate and although it tastes nice, would be great to learn how to make it look fancy too!
I am so grateful for your cooking videos. You have taught me so much about different cuisines and techniques. Your food is exceptional and your presentation is splendid. Please keep up the amazing work...
Hey fella, I use a meater thermometer ( shows ambient oven temp) in a baked potato to calibrate the oven setting, used it in me air fryer too, runs 20c above the setting tempt!
A tip for checking the heat on the oven is to check the yellow/orange light that comes on when you set the temperature. When the oven has reached the correct temperature, the light goes out.
YUMMY from Houston, Texas in North America! I love a good roast chicken! Oven baking is almost a lost art for cooking with everyone using crockpots, insta-pots and air friers now…
Absolutely agree with this. We normally stay in villas when we go on holidays, but no matter how good the villa is, kitchen is always poorly kitted out.
Hey Andy, I love your videos because I know that everything you use (ingredient and equipment) can be purchased in Oz!! Have cooked heaps of your recipes at home or for parties and always a huge hit! I have a dish request! You’ve done Japanese ramen and Vietnamese pho - how do you feel about giving Taiwanese beef noodle soup a go? Cheers!
Just hit me how much you've made it, I was thinking "what's a good roast chicken recipe" and the only person to come to mind or the person whose advice I trust, is good old Andy
Hi Andy! I make up a mix of freshly ground pepper and salt. Then its season in one go! Love your vids mate, I learn something new every one! Regards, Brad.
Andy you always crack me up when I watch your videos. "Don't use your hands, I can because I have chef hands" two seconds later using tongs to move the potatoes around. I had to laugh. Always love watching your videos. I have cooked many meals that you have uploaded. If I had to choose a favourite it would have to be biryani chicken. I nailed it first go. Everyone thought my wife had cooked it. Thanks for everything that you do mate. Looking forward to hearing about this filming that you are doing in Melbourne. Keep us informed.
@@andy_cooks I was referring to the saucepan you made the gravy in and used the wisk on. Love your content mate, hope I didnt come off rude, just trying to be cheeky :)
Thanks for a recipe so easy anyone can do it. Also it's not just a roast chicken, but just a little different with the tarragon. Will be trying this soon after I watch this again and save the link.
This is how I grew up eating. Mom out a meal in the oven kept working. When it was ready the meat tested while the gravy was made then it's ready. Yum 😋
This vid popped up in my recommended and I'm so glad it did. I do 1 month of meal prep at a time but I'm always looking for easy throw together things and this is perfect!
I just chuck the flour onto the pan and cook whilst stirring for maybe a minute or two then add in little portions of hot water from the kettle until the flour fat mixture starts to get some fluidity too it then I add greater amounts of water until the desired thinness. IDK, saves a dish and gets all the flavor off the bottom of the pan
You just taught thousands of people how to make Airbnb hosts mad about warped oven trays =D Can tell from the ingredients that I would've rightfully been MORE THAN ANXIOUS to finally dig in, love it!
Chef, love the roast chicken. But I really love fried chicken. I'm putting in a request for a southern fried chicken meal. Mashed potatoes with gravy. Coleslaw. And homemade biscuits.
nice chicken Andy I cook something like that at least twice a month I just add a little different vegetables and herbs and you do very easy very delicious thank you
All good, Andy, but I prefer to spatchcock the chicken before I tray bake like this with veggies. Cooks quicker and the veg can then stay on the tray for most of the cooking time.
This video goes to show that you don't need to be super "original" to be great. Do simple things exceptionally well and let that personality sign through and you have grade A content. well done.
As a previous Traeger+ user, I've recently made the switch to Asmoke and it's been a game-changer. The Asmoke Essential is convenient and portable, allowing me to enjoy the flavors of wood pellet grilling in various settings - from backyard BBQs to camping trips. The battery-powered design is a big plus - up to 10 hours of runtime with a rechargeable battery, without needing a connection to the grid. I love the added bonus of the app, with remote temperature adjustment and recipe sharing features. The FlameTech patent has truly enhanced my cooking experience, providing precise temperature control within 5°F. And let's not forget the flavor - the wood pellets add that distinct smoky flavor I crave. Can't wait to try out your "One Pan Roast Chicken" recipe with my Asmoke grill. #Asmoke
I like how conservative you were on the fennel pollen. So many things get ruined by too much fennel, but in small doses it's amazing. Haven't tried the pollen before, I'll give it a crack!
This seriously gives med good vibes! I'm on paternal leave and have a shrimp stock on the stove atm. It is going to be a kickass shrimp soup this weekend :)
I MUSat have seen this before because I did this yesterday in an Air BnB in the Philippines 😂 And I thought it was all my own work. It went surprisingly well - girlfriend was amazed. And now I know why 😂 Beware Andy"s subliminal training techniques : you'll learn things without even knowing that you're learning.
I'll take this rare opportunity to say that I really appreciate you and your channel so much. You're absolutely one of my favourite channels on youtube, and you have one of the most unique and humane personalities. Thanks for everything!
I agree with every word.
Thanks legend, I really appreciate that!
Spot on!!!
Thanks for telling Andy what I was about to say
How is this opportunity rare?
I'm getting addicted to seeing your videos, Chef Andy. You inspire many people just by your simplicity techniques.
I really appreciate a classic delicious, yet relatively easy recipe. With food costs soaring for many of us, its nice to see these types of recipes that can help families eat healthy and not go over budget.

Thanks for watching and i hope it helps with your meal planning next trip!
This is a great addition to your regular videos, showing you don't need a fancy kitchen to make chef quality food. Excellent as usual ❤
Thank you!
For me that kitchen is quiet fancy .
Great cooking without dramatic , but I would put the veggies roasting after a certain amount of time ( let’s say half an hour ) adding them to the chicken roasting . It would have been easier .

Thank you!
This is some truly old school cookery instruction. Deeply useful and highly appreciated.
I imagine Andy, in 30 more years, with the same charisma and enjoying every plate he make, with 1 billion subs. Greetings from Chile!
I love watching you cook, Andy. You make cooking more fun and exciting. Much love to you and your babe
Thank you!

Thats honestly a really good point, not enough chefs promote sustainable, home-eating and i think they can really make a difference.
Love this comment and idea.
Loved this I'm going to cook it tonight! As a Kiwi living overseas its also so nice to hear the NZ accent!
Nice recipe, well explained, thanks for sharing!

I have a compact kit I take when I expect to cook: two knives, cutting board, etc. A thermometer is easy to bring and a super idea.
I am so grateful for your cooking videos. You have taught me so much about different cuisines and techniques. Your food is exceptional and your presentation is splendid. Please keep up the amazing work...
Yah ok. This is now officially my favourite cooking channel. Thank you Andy!
Hey fella, I use a meater thermometer ( shows ambient oven temp) in a baked potato to calibrate the oven setting, used it in me air fryer too, runs 20c above the setting tempt!
Glad to see you got this far, this is what most people do most of the time.
One pan meals are an easier way to roast.
I enjoyed the giggle too. I couldn't handle fennel pollen.
Thanks Andy

Agree, you can't beat a simple home roast
Not the best videos to watch when in bed, didn't realise I was hungry 😋 I could smell the aromas , gorgeous
This is what we all need mate! Make a series of meals you can cook with minimal equipment and it will kick off for sure!
Thank you. I will definitely try to do some more of these!
Absolutely agree with this. We normally stay in villas when we go on holidays, but no matter how good the villa is, kitchen is always poorly kitted out.
A spectacular dish Andy!😁😁👏👏….I really love watching you cook!👌👌👌 Thank you 😊
Thanks for watching!
Awesome cooking thanks man for all the great advice
Thanks for watching brother!
This guy is the best!!!! Thank you!!!love your channels!
Thanks legend
That gravy looks out of this world! Beautiful looking dinner!
This was exactly how we did a vacation around Iceland on the cheap. Rented places with kitchens and roasted chickens with veggies and potatoes.

Thanks to this video, I successfully made my first roast chicken for dinner. It was super tasty and cooked beautifully.
You are such a legend! Love it!
Andy, love your roast chicken and veggies and especially the rich sauce you made from the drippings.
I'll do this next week!
Bon Appétit!
Thank you for the wash hands mention, cross contamination is a real thing. This is a great dish!
Thanks from the PNW-US.
Mmmm yum. Teflon scrapings, so delicious and detrimental to your health! Yum yum yum
It's a steel oven tray
@@andy_cooks I was referring to the saucepan you made the gravy in and used the wisk on. Love your content mate, hope I didnt come off rude, just trying to be cheeky :)
Nice video, good idea would be to butterfly the chicken for more even and faster cooking as everyone was so hungry!
Gotta love Sunday morning. Andy your a legend mate
thanks bro!
This is one of the most affordable meals too. Especially in NZ where carrots and potatoes are plentiful!

Chef Andy, I enjoy your videos. Much respect to you sir.
Also, my favorite dish that I love to eat is Spaghetti and Meatballs. Can you make it for me?
Great bit of cooking Andy as usual you’ve just made me hungry cheers buddy I appreciate it 😂

DAMN THAT LOOKS GOOD! You cant beat a good roast chook!! Not only tasty, more nutritious but also a lot cheaper than eating out. Nice one chef!!
Thanks bro
Looks absolutely amazing!
You just taught thousands of people how to make Airbnb hosts mad about warped oven trays =D
Can tell from the ingredients that I would've rightfully been MORE THAN ANXIOUS to finally dig in, love it!
No worries about the temp. In Canada we can convert it. Not honestly sure about the people south of our border though.
I noticed he was pandering somewhat while switching between capsicum and peppers
Chef, love the roast chicken. But I really love fried chicken. I'm putting in a request for a southern fried chicken meal. Mashed potatoes with gravy. Coleslaw. And homemade biscuits.
nice chicken Andy I cook something like that at least twice a month I just add a little different vegetables and herbs and you do very easy very delicious thank you
My favourite breakfast is scramble egg with beans with sausage with toast with crispy bacon 🥓
Gravy, veggies, herbs, juice really, who needs the bird. 😮
YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH BOI. That's my kind of gravy. Thanks Andy!!!
Roasted chicken, favorite
As I have said already - I love Your cooking.

All professional chefs have iron hands💪✊✊
Fab video - one of my all time favourite meals roast chook Veges and gravy - cheaper than 2-3 Big Mac Meals
Andy, Would love to see you do Yorkshire Puddings or your take on a Hangi
All good, Andy, but I prefer to spatchcock the chicken before I tray bake like this with veggies. Cooks quicker and the veg can then stay on the tray for most of the cooking time.

Lashings of gravy, old bean!
Nice video Andy. Cook a Pad Grapao with pork, steamed rice and fried egg. One of the best Thai comfort foods, and easy to make!
Nice video as always.
Andy now has a team!
Great video, as usual mate. Could you next time show us your take on making stuffing for a roast chook? Would love that.

I just had dinner and that makes me hungry. Looks delicious
It was good!

Andy you should make (Caldo De Res) it’s a mexican beef soup it’s super delicious!
I like how there will only be leftovers for Chef's breakfast!
