I feel like team axis are being spoiled a bit because they are getting to use their late war fighters against mid-war allied fighters, where in reality the Mustang was fighting inferior Bf-109G-6s and Fw-190As way before the existence of Bf-109Ks and Fw-190Ds.

Nah spot on, only thing at same level as the Dora and K-4 would be Mustang and maybe Tempest with its huge speed.

the mustangs were fast only needed for escort missions mostly because of it being a capable escort it basically won the war for letting the bombers bomb things

I have always wondered some stuff in il2. Can you fly an older aircraft like an bf109e7 vs an p47d ,and also I was wondering if you had just ran out of fuel just before the video ended,and also can the fuel stop leaking if it's out of fuel? and also can an gun jam from over heating or being damage by environment, also can a p47d turn great compared towards the for a in some cases in the game?
Yes you can, nah had more left, I dunno, Also not sure about the gun thing, yeh P47 turns great at 10,000m in comparison to other planes, faster there too.
the Rhineland map is very poorly optimized especially when flying near big cities, do not use this map, it is full of freezes and stutters

There's no way that little bit of shot there could have put that P- 47 thunderbolt down, It's been documented that the Dory has emptied everything he had into P-47 Thunder bolt and it's still flew on, I call bullshit Especially in a skilled pilot hands

maybe because angling? if you angle your plane or be lucky you can atleast minimize damage or deflect the bullets
