@@kelliebportera 100/1.00 ops+ is average. So by definition a 0 ops+ would be 100% worse than average. Then going negative would have to be greater than 100% worse.
@@kelliebporter In reality, he is like 65% worse than an average MLB player. Since OPS+ adds how your on-base and slugging compares to the rest of the league, you should halve how far away from 100 you are to get the true result.

The USA defeating Pakistan in cricket was as big an upset as Saudi Arabia defeating Argentina in their opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. That's probably the best recent, real-world metric to give people perspective.

The Sultan of Swing refers to Wasim Akram, former Pakistan left-arm seam bowler. I’d consider him to be one of the greatest seam/swing bowlers ever, although Jimmy Anderson and Glenn McGrath are certainly strong competition for best ever. Anyway good luck versus India!
I wouldn't call McGrath a swing bowler, he was primarily a seamer. Starc is the first to come to mind for current guys who really swing it, but Akram is the right call. Old heads will tell you Sarfraz Nawaz was the real prototype for modern swing and reverse swing, Akram just built on that
On an individual level, the White Sox are not bad players. They just keep not scoring in clutch spots, not converting runners into runs, and not pitching to hold their lead. They have now lost from a winning position 25 times. If even HALF of those had held, they'd be 30 and 37... which a lot of teams are.
And I don't say this as a White Sox fan... In theory I should want them to lose, but it's sad to see them lose from winning positions a lot.

Well, aiming at the upper body and even above the shoulder are legal, provided the ball has bounced. It's all part of trying to get the batter to make a mistake.
Within certian parameters, it's legal and a valid strategy.. it's just harder to pull off effectively.
The batter is supposed to be able to protect himself with technique.
Yes bowlers can try to hit batsmen in the head and chest region. 2 balls per over is allowed where ball is between neck and crown region, however on the bounce. A ball not bounced but over the batter's waist is not allowed

Hear me out, China got the sentencing backwards. Jomboy suggests they should all get the same sentence, which is understandable… but really, as the price for hire went up, the sentence should have gone down. As the old adage goes, everyone has their price and everything is for sale for a price. The lower your price to commit murder, the LONGER your sentence should be.
