You won't remember this, Bruce, but back when you had just finished the world trip on the 'Beast' we 'chatted' about the loss of my son (2017). I'm sure that your calm and sensitive words are as comforting to your crew as they were and still are to me now.
You asked, so I'll say: I prefer your commentary to all the banter of the group rides... a little is OK, but I don't want much of it. Anyway, thanks for the great vids - 25 degrees?! Didn't see more than about 8 degrees on my ride today, stopped three times just to warm up!
Enjoyed the video - thanks. 👍🏍️. Nice to hear the late JW being mentioned. Great biking friend of mine going back many years. Toured together quite a few times all over mid & north Wales. Peak District, Cumbria, Yorkshire Dales etc. Sorely missed for sure. 🙏💙
Brings back some great memories, we did UK to Dubrovnik and turned left up to Poland and left again to head home in June, 16 countries in 21 days, had our wet gear on for 6 hours in the whole trip👍🏼
Fantastic viewing of the start of a great tour. Wise words about loss of friends and what the future holds and to make things happen. I’m heading to the Picos in early 2025 following one of Simon Weirs tours, apprehensive, excited and a little scared as its my first venture to Europe but your videos inspire and give confidence and sound advice on touring. Keep up the cracking work the biking world needs folk like you. Stay safe and ride safe.
Hi guys, in 7:50 on this video you pass trough my village where I live, I am also biker and this road to 9:20 I ride almost every vikend when I go to the see. This route is realy beautiful, an full of biker every day. I am glad to pass you throw. 🤟
Thanks Kevin, glad you enjoyed it. Afraid I can’t post up the route as it’s not mine to give away - this was a tour by Canary Motorcycle Tours, so I’d be giving away their business for free if I did that 👍
Hiya Bruce. Great to see a tour video in the part of the world I'm quite familiar with. So looking forward to seeing your thoughts. As for preference for you just chatting to camera or listening to group ride babble....I personally prefer your commentary with the occasional group chat. Regardless, it's all great. Thx G.
Looking forward to this series, Bruce. I know you are a big chap but the V Strom will do it if you get the valves bouncing!! A fantastic all round bike that has me questioning if I need a GS. Whilst I mull that over, I'll have both!!
Another great tour to follow Question I'm slowly building a little media kit for tour next year osmo action 4 great deal with the 5 coming out It came with there mic adapter and wired mic which I plan on taking as a back up and as watching the cost I've just got the boya wireless mic kit plug n play job as I use flip up helmets wireless makes sense So back to what I wanted to ask 😂 is that just blu-tac your using around usb connections? To help stop water and wires falling out 👍🤔🤔🍺
Nice one Bruce, look forward to all the episodes. Me and the missus took a break from Spain and got the Barcelona to Genoa ferry this summer for 3 weeks covering North Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Croatia on the Beema R1200R. Slovenia and particularly North was the stand out. Out of the main towns booze and food were very fair price even in Italy (we stayed just far enough from lakes to get best views and quieter roads).
Looking forward to this, as it looks like we were doing similar routes at similar times! I came through the Dolomites and down to Greece hugging the coast all the way. If the thunderstorms you mention are the ones I am thinking of - I was actually heading out of Montenegro into Albania at that time!
me old mum used to say you cant live with the dead you can only live for the day . i wish i could make my dream come true sadly im a full time carer for my sister who needs 24/7 care so ill never get to go its one of the reason i watch your vids as at least i get to see some places ill never see my self its not the same as going my self but better than nothing i turn 50 next year and i have to be honest i do have allot of regrets RIP to your friend mate and my deepest condolences to his family and friends
Thank you very much bud, I greatly appreciate that and your feedback. I hope you manage to figure something out and one day you’ll get to live those dreams out too 👍
You rode past my holiday house about a mile after you crossed into Croatia at Prezid. Really great riding to be had in that region. For folks considering riding down there from the UK, Last time I rode down, I got the 11pm euro tunnel , then rode through the night via Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, and Slovenia, arriving in Croatia about 3pm the next day. Just over 1000 miles door to door from London.
Been looking forward to seeing what you filmed and how it looked from your view. I just hope I don’t look too fat and my riding lines weren’t as bad as I think they were 😆 Going back to Slovenia next July with Deb and my son for a week of “normal” touring with the CMT crew. Very much looking forward to it. All the best to you Bruce and hope to ride with you again one day.
You're absolutely right Bruce, these roads look fantastic and the views are beautiful. 👍 Thank you for your hard work 😁to show us these routes. Oh, I forgot to ask, when you ride with Canary, how many kilometres or miles do they usually plan for each day? Are 220 miles the average daily distance?
Great video, nice words about Jeremy. I prefer no comms, just me and my thoughts. The guy in front, blue helmet.... has he starred in another of your videos ? the riding style (which is making my toes curl) looks familier
DELETE THIS VIDEO - We want to keep Slovenia a secret! I’m a Brit who moved here for work 5 years ago and it is the best place to live! Beer in the old city is €3.50 in the holidays pub (the best bar) the standard of living is superior to the UK in every way, quality of food, no processed rubbish…I still have my home in Manchester and the UK will always have my heart but Ljubljana is an amazing place to live. Lots of Brits here also. I have a GS and brought it from the UK to SLO in May and took it back in October, you can do it in 2 days but it’s better in 3 days. Less if you live in the south. Glad you liked my adopted home! Looking forward to watching the rest as I also work in Greece and am thinking of doing the journey next year.
The Balkan is indeed a hidden motorcycle gem. Vrsic pass, Trakoscan, Una park trail in Bosnië, Kotor Bay, Albanië, Biokovo, Plitvice, Zeljava airbase..... Lots of good memories on the trips I did there.
I enjoyed the film, group comms are entertaining, those roads look like a lot of fun. I’d like to know why most countries have better roads, cleaner and have bigger houses than the UK we are definitely roggered with a huge cactus 🌵
@@rlw85 I will tell you why…the EU give them road money so the Germans can get to the Croatian coast quickly. In summer the roads here in Ljubljana are full of D plates. The houses are bigger because they used to build them themselves with communities helping and a few generations lived in them. It’s clean here because everyone is taught respect…I’ve been in the city and have seen teenagers walking along subconsciously picking up some litter. They respect their country.
Speaking of Slovenia, take a trip back there with Mrs Teapotone and head up to Lake Bled for a bit of ramance and Bled cake overlooking the lake. Guaranteed to get you some loving 😂
Odd question, but I've had an r30 for years and I can never seem to get the straps adjusted in a way that the bag is comfortable. Doesn't keep me from using it, but I wonder if there's a secret formula I've overlooked. Advice?
I crossed Slovenia a few years ago. Its very small and my main memory is noticing most petrol stations have a propper hog roast running, I didn't see a Mac Donalds but saw 5 hog roasts, much better. I have driven to Croatia twice and that coast road is gorgeous all the way. Paid for, by us and the Germans when we were still officially in Europe. Your content Teapot, is all about the scenery and your insights, it doesn't matter who you are chatting to. I recall a hail storm on the mountain motorway above the coast road, hail the size of 1p coins coming down from 5 miles up, it was deafening in the services we were forced to stop in. I never went further than Makarska, Greece is another days drive, good luck, I look forward to the next video
@@76boneman he's a brit he (literally, himself peronally) built this world, it's just the way it is, that's why all the boomer bikers drive to Croatia all the time, the Britannia is such a beautiful island they can't wait to escape it and ride around one of their territories, such as Croatia....you should see the brits, men, but especially women, how they act in one of more popular tourist nightlife resorts in Croatia, now that's proper brit class for everyone to see cheers m8 innit
Hahaha! As someone who spends a lot of time in the Balkans this very much depends who you ask. Some Slovenians I spoke to are fine with being classed as a Balkan country and others get offended. Based on pure geography it's more of a central European country. Phenomenal place to spend time!
You won't remember this, Bruce, but back when you had just finished the world trip on the 'Beast' we 'chatted' about the loss of my son (2017). I'm sure that your calm and sensitive words are as comforting to your crew as they were and still are to me now.
Mike thank you very, very much bud. That genuinely means a lot.
I hope you are doing ok yourself? 👍
🙏🏻
Thanks for taking us along, and the reminder to live your life. Big 🍻😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦
This is great.
Proper tour .
Can’t wait to see it all .

I like your wittering on but with occasional burst of group chat banter - best of both worlds :)
I like the group chats, the banter. Obviously your wonderful tones make any viewing exceptionally good.
lovely part of the world pal. roads do look epic.
Nice one Bruce. RIP Jeremy 🙏🏻. Never forgotten. Ride safe all and live your lives ❤
Ps I spotted a GS in KTM livery 😮
Greetings from Serbia, I hope you will pass through Serbia with the most beautiful landscapes

Thank you bud, and you’ll have an amazing time in the Picos 👍
Group chat included in the footage, the banter is the best bit of a trip. 👍

That all looks great, Bruce.
Great vid Bruce I like both and banter 👍
another great vid andy
Cheers Dave 👍
Great video as usual Bruce, so right about grief, riding long tours and everything else👍
Beautiful scenery, roads are empty no traffic 😊, we definitely are shafted in Britain, catchy trac 🎶 flitting in an out ,
great video as always man, love your videos
Nice one Bruce. Blooming marvellous 👍...

Regardless of the fact that I am a Serb, I can say that Greece is by far the most beautiful country on your trip through the Balkans

Been looking forward to this one 👍
Roads look great, looking forward to seeing more of them. Never been to that bit of Europe
Well worth a run over there bud, fantastic riding roads
Well said TP1, well said
Fantastic group of people...we did the Slovenia tour a couple of weeks before our trip...would definitely book with Canary motorcycle tours again 👍
Another great tour to follow

Yep i agree that when you have group talk i feel it comes across more fun and engaging for the group riding and us the viewers. Checking roads so far.

Thankfully these tour vids don’t get much traction or views, so your secret should be safe 😉👍

Aye Lake Bled is a nice place eh
@teapotone Doesn't she like cake or romance? 🤣
Oh well, date night at the local bingo hall with a glass of port & lemon it is then haha
Love it would love to do that drip
Regards from Montenegro :) Hope you got a spend some time in MNE during this trip :)
Thank you, yep we did pass through MNE, will probably be in the next episode. Was very beautiful up in the mountains 👍
What time of year did you film this Bruce? I missed it if you said
It was June this year bud
❤
Nice video Bruce. What dates were you there? Might try the trip there after Xmas.
Thanks, I was there first 2 weeks in June this year

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but your thumbnail doesn’t do your video justice. I really enjoy your content.
If you want someone to take it the wrong way, then start by saying “don’t take this the wrong way”. No offence (that’s another one) 😂
