I absolutely love the analytical and statistical approach you bring to these videos. I could watch this stuff all day. You put a tremendous amount of research into these projects and it translates very well into the video. I've no doubt this channel will take off. Keep at it Doc!
“Meta” isn’t an acronym. It’s short for “metagame,” which is a term used to describe the “game outside the game” - i.e., the strategies and systems that are deemed most effective and how they interact with one another. For example, in Magic, there are usually “meta tiers,” with tier one decks being considered strategies that are practically complete, tier two decks being ones that may have a major weakness or two and/or prey upon key weaknesses in tier one decks, and tier three decks being “fringe playable” strategies that can spike a tournament here or there with some luck or in the right environment.
I’ve watched maybe 3 videos and I can confirm, this dude knows ball

The algorithm gods appear to have finally favored this excelent channel! Basically Brett Kollmann meets Foolish Baseball. Congrats, Doc! Hope you have time for multiple videos this season :)
The Canadian game provides insight into what an extreme version of this might look like in some respects, in large part because every player in the backfield - including the QB, so five guys total - can move in any direction at any time before the snap so long as they stay behind the line of scrimmage. For example, often you'll see four receivers sprint downfield, crossing the line almost immediately after the ball is snapped, to get better leverage or force a mismatch on passing downs.
Some of the best football content I have seen in over 8 years on this platform. I can't think of many content creators who manage to be as detailed and in depth as you while still being digestible and entertaining.
Teams has also figured out to blitz the qb when they’re rolling in the moving pocket. Blitzing an extra guy and rolling the dice that sacking the qb is gonna stall they’re drive is more important than defending a 4-5 yard run.
The Outside Zone Run 😍🥰😘🥰😍
My favorite type of zone run!

Thank you, this comment made my day!

anything can be an acronym
Please spread the word! This grinds my gears like nothing else. This explanation of "meta" is a false etymology and a backronym.
‘Most efficient tactic available’
I've watched three of your videos now, and this is just the sort of incisive longform non-meathead NFL content I've been looking for.

Wow, thank you! I really appreciate those kind words
Fantastic video. Extremely well researched and edited. I'm surprised this doesn't have 1mil+ views. Thanks for the excellent content!

Amazing vid, definitely worth the wait! Keep up the grind!
Thanks Pearchamp, glad you liked it!
Your videos are so good. How does this video have under 1000 views?
This is a beautiful video- so much effort and it pays off with how easy and interesting it is to watch 🙏🙏🙏
The doctor is BACK
Back and better than ever! 2024 will be the year of the Doctor
Production note; please change your light/ventilator/filming spot.
It makes the top half of the video flicker nonstop
really great vid man
I mean just call this channel Foolish Football… but I love it
Not saying McCaffery isn’t an elite receiving back, but Marshal Faulk literally had 1,400 rushing and 1,400 receding yards in the same season.
Great video!
Thanks Games! Appreciate the support as always
If u have big run stopping dt that can 2 gap, u can neutralize the run. It’s hasn’t produced in the playoffs enough.
Aahh good!
Now do inside zone!
How does this dude have under 5k subs
19:13 beautiful
I have a lot of respect for McVay and Shanahan. Hate watching them embarrass my hawks tho :(
Being in the same division as those two coaches has gotta be tough, 4 games a year against 2 of the best in the league
@@dr.pigskin yeah we almost lost both games to the depleted rams last year when their qbs were John Wolford and Baker Mayfield
I’d die for u
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoy my content 😂
