Bowen had to be so pissed that Santos said that he's not running for re-election (hoping that will keep him from getting kicked out). Steady camera time down the drain... ;-)
This is the kind of parody that ultimately leads to a VH1 Behind the Music expose where the band says, "...and that's when we realized we had become a punch line. We broke up a week later." I will not be sad about it.
I'm watching James Austin and Andrew sing those songs and they sound really good singing bad! Andrew really takes it over the top with his animated movements!
He's playing the same generic obnoxious gay character, yet he breaks in every sketch anyway. hes the definition of mediocrity. You're obligated to praise him because you like boys.

4:19. Probably the best casting choice Saturday Night Live has made in the past few years is having Bowen portray Santos. It almost makes me want Santos to remain in Congress, until I remember how deplorable Santos is & am glad he's leaving.
He's pretty funny as a form of satire, though, highlighting the creepy capers so many of his colleagues are up to. Although I owe that sentiment primarily to Bowen ...
My view of Bowen has gone from Meh in his first season to my absolute favorite the past few years. The Santos impression is perfection, and that Chinese balloon became one of my all-time fave skits, and I’ve watched SNL since season 1!

I hope they bring Chris Redd back as Eric Adams cameo; he absolutely nailed it the first times, one of the best skits in recent SNL history. I really miss him.
