Bareminerals has a powder concealer if you're wanting to try one with a powder foundation. I don't use powder foundations because my skin is so dry but if I was going to I would definitely use the concealer first if using a cream concealer.
Bare Minerals foundation (mineral) gives great coverage and is AMAZING. Serious Skin Care also sells a mineral foundation that is amazing too. It gives a subtle nice glow as does the Bare Minerals. Bare Minerals has a more matt option too
What setting powder do you use? (if any). I also suffer from very dry skin. I was looking into setting powders and I would think a pressed powder would be the better option than loose for skin that is dry. I honestly hate any type of powders because they tend to give make up a cakey look and lean more towards looking dry and just all around bad. I just got a new loose powder from hard candy (their new wonder powder) that's supposed to feel hydrating like water on your skin for dry skin people. Hopefully it works. Also looking into getting a pressed powder to see if that's the answer. But what do you use for setting powder? Been trying to see what people are saying who have dry skin like me what to do about this powder/dry skin issue Sorry for the novel lol
My issue w/ELF CC Cream & powder foundation is how YELLOW all the shades are. Their cool tones are this weird peachy yellow color. For the record, peach is NOT cool, peach is peach & still a warm tone. When are these companies going to get cool undertones right? Take a page out of CoverGirl’s playbook to learn what cool tones really look like. Specifically the Clean Makeup or the TruBlend lines. So frustrating because at this point it shouldn’t be an issue. This happens because their not testing shades on people who have truly cool skin tones. Of course something peach is going to look more pinkish & cool on someone with a yellow or warm undertone - duh 🙄.
I use powder foundation on the daily, and yes, I put my concealer on before I put on the powder foundation. My routine is, serum, sunscreen, concealer, and then powder foundation. Makes my skin look flawless :)
Hoooooly hell. You were not being dramatic. I just seared my eyes with the Wet N Wild spray. Be careful people! Let it dry! I did get it at Walmart in AZ. They had the entire collection, but it's not with the W n' W in the aisle. It was hanging on a endcap in a pink shelf box. $5 for all products including the pallete.
Kelly, that pink sweater is so pretty on you…pink is your color! I find the ELF camo powder foundation runs dark, my skin is pale and I have had to return two because they are so dark! Do stores let you return make up if you have opened and used them already? Just wondering because I buy make up products and they don't work for me and I keep them and waste my money all the time. I don't know my skins undertone so I always end up getting the wrong shades of foundation. If I could return them and get money back that would be great. Lol. The camo powder and cc cream run dark, but the concealers run light! It's crazy. Their lightest, fair rose concealer is just a hair above white. I'm usually the lightest or 2nd lightest shade, like with Maybelline. I'm 105 in foundation, and 100 is their lightest and 10 in their concealers and 5 is their lightest.
I found the Wet n Wild collection at my local Walmart. I got the blush and the sponge. Both are so so good. The palettes are small and one of the shadows is a pressed glitter, so I passed. The sponge is amazing!
I bought the newer wet n wild palette, the orangey hued one. My eyelid skin went red and swelled, I used a primer as well. So be careful. I also had a worse reaction when I tried the Elf palette, one of the bigger ones. It was pretty awful. Love the elf brushes, brow gel, skin care, powders though!

I'd rather be oily than dry skinned maybe my make up wouldn't look so cakey like a desert. Lol and the rule of make up is that creams and liquid come before powder so I agree. I never heard of anyone doing it the other way around so I was shocked that she was asking that question.
I'm sure others have said this, but keep old facial primer bottles that you love and you can fill them with different ones that don't have good misters. That way you can use the actual product without being turned off by the mister!
Hey Kelly, because of what happened to your eyes it made me wonder - have you tried those drops for your eyes that remove redness and make the white part like perfectly white? I know you guys use tons of lights and stuff so your eyes have to hurt some times. I would be interested to know if they work~!

Use a kabookie brush for the foundation. Buff it in circular motion. Most people don't blend and buff a powder foundation enough. When it feels like your arm is gonna fall off you're almost there
The finished look is so pretty!! I actually loved the floors on you! Back in the late 80s I had a pink lipstick that I wore everyday. 💗 it was a frosty pink made by Estee Lauder, I bought 4 or 5 tubes before they discontinued it. Never found a dupe for it again. While the gloss isn't a full coverage lip cream it has the same frosty baby pink. It's such a flattering look! Love it!!!
Hey Stacey I don't know if you have tried this one but it's from Revlon and it's called silver city pink. I wore it in the 80's and noticed about a year ago they still make it. It's a beautiful frosty light pink. Sounds very similar to what you are talking about.

I’m cracking up because I’m pretty sure that Elf Dew stick is meant to be a dupe for the Tula eye balms that are sticks. That’s why it felt so cooling. I could be wrong but the Tula is in a blue stick and a pink stick as well. 😅

That's why I started spraying my setting sprays on a cotton pad and I apply it on my face because I was tired of my eyes and the spray just going all over the place. I like that much better 😌
Ok FYI, I purchased the Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette that goes w/this cute little collection & when I saw it I said , “omg, this is so cute! I need it!” Well, the name of it is called Blooming & all I can say is WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Wet n Wild completely dropped the ball w/this! It’s a shame too bcz having this cute Spring-y pink color story, it TOTALLY had the potential to be an amazing little hit! I honestly couldn’t believe how bad the shadows were! They suck so bad! I don’t think Wet n Wild has ever made worse formulated eyeshadows EVER! They’re so bad that they don’t even transfer from your finger to swatch them - & the prettiest duo-chrome shade actually came with hard pan! But scratching the top layer didn’t help! If you want to get any type of color payoff you have to wet your finger or brush but only for the hard pan shade & don’t expect it blend either. Another is a pressed glitter & the last 2 are very unpigmented. One is a matte peachy-cream shade which could’ve been so pretty & the last is supposed to be a satin finish babydoll pink but its not an ugly pink, it’s a soft wearable pink. Too bad I couldn’t get any on my finger to swatch it. You can’t get shit out of these eyeshadows. I’m so disappointed in wet n Wild as a company bcz I can’t believe that they even launched this. WHO decided that this was suitable to sell??? I’m definitely going to email them & ask them what the hell were they thinking? What ever happened to the amazing eyeshadow formula they came out with in their 8 pan palettes several yrs ago? Nothing has compared to the quality of those since. The blush & gloss were nice but that doesn’t make up for the shit shadows & the setting spray that nearly blinds you.

I can't wait to get my hand on the elf sticks ugh forgot the name but they are like a doup for the Tula under eye cooling/Brighting sticks that come in the blue and pink packaging also. I have the blue and use it under my eyes every time I wear makeup. I use it before and after applying my makeup depending on what I'm feeling that day. ❤️
I roll Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer around my face including under my eyes and blend it in. I set it lightly by tapping not rubbing with Lancôme Dual Finish Powder. I always wait until the last minute to apply makeup before work, so the roller concealer & pressed powder makeup it fast and easy to apply even in the car.
I use the Blooming spray in this video and it is a daily staple..love it!..it really does give a beautiful glow and makes my makeup looks FLAWLESS!..I love the whole Blooming collection..I use them on the daily..GREAT products for the price..I also use the Elf Camo powder..it is amazing!

I've been reading so many articles and watching a lot videos of lately on the whole concealer or powder first thing, so I couldn't believe that you were talking about this topic since I've been basically researching it. From what I found, the rule is creams go before powders. So primer, foundation, concealer and then your setting powder. I got pretty confused when it comes to cream blush or cream bronzer since I'm a big cream person rather than powder products due to my dry skin and I like dewy over matte. I would suppose that the rules would still be the same as in creams before powders ... So I guess if your using cream blush/cream bronzer it would go primer, foundation, concealer, cream bronzer, cream blush and so on. At least that's what I have found while reading and watching videos on this subject.
Love the cookies and dreams putty primer. I tried the og few yrs ago but it didn’t really do anything for me. But this one AMAZING…. It works so well and is so creamy. I have a back up just in case they don’t make it a permanent item. I use it almost everyday.
I do concealer under powder foundation. Actually any cream products under powder foundation. I have dry skin - I’m 53 - and I really like the Camo powder foundation.
I’m also a powder foundation girl, and I love the L’Oreal True Match Minerals powder foundation. It can easily build up to full coverage, plus their shade range has options for pale girls like me! I always do my eyes and concealer prior to powder foundation. Add a little elf HD powder, and I feel like my skin appears flawless. 💁🏻♀️

I use the Miloni Powder Foundation as my face powder and spot my dark circles with my Camo concealer and I'm 70 and been told my skin looks flawless and smooth so I have quit wearing liqud foundation some times I'll wear bbcream but for every day just the powder foundation

I am 50% German 50% Irish I have red hair the whole thing and my skin is extremely dry do you honestly think that this would work for me I’m asking because you’ve tried it and your skin is also very dry and I trust your opinion 100% I already have the product so it’s not like a matter of buying it or not it’s a matter of wearing it or not

I think why the powder foundation didn’t work as well with the sponge is because of all the concealer. If it’s a full coverage powder foundation, I would have liked to have seen how it covered the blemishes without the concealer under. I’ve used powder foundations for years and they have always done a good job covering blemishes without concealer.
First thing which came to My mind is that bareminerals powdered concealer, which is great to make undereye area even more bright after concealing... Maybe that works on top of powder foundation, but i'd do concealer first. Honestly i dont usually like powder foundations for my extra dry skintype 😌✌️
I have very dry skin and the powder foundation still works great! Concealer first (still trying to find one that covers dark eye bags) but the buffing and finishing powder create a very clean look.
Please do some color eyeshadow looks. I know neutrals are your thing and you look gorgeous in them but PLEASE do some color purple maybe it would look so good with your eye color. Just a suggestion lol xoxox

I love this review and look! I thought that I should try the powder foundation as a bronzer and then you did! So that was great to see 😊 and your lips definitely look poutier!
You should use a q-tip to put concealer onto your blemishes instead of using the applicator directly onto them because you pick up the bacteria from your blemishes and then put it back into the concealer tube. Something someone once told me.
If you love a spray but not the sprayer, save a sprayer from one you love that fits, trim tube on sprayer if necessary to fit new bottle and boom! Spray you love with sprayer you love, no more water gun!
I wonder if you can spray that wet and wild spray on a sponge and pat it on instead of spraying directly to the face? I do that with their setting sprays bc I don't like how intensely they spray

Update: have used the spray a few times & it breaks me out. Nothing breaks me out, so I won't be using the spray again.

I’m cracking up because I’m pretty sure that Elf Dew stick is meant to be a dupe for the Tula eye balms that are sticks. That’s why it felt so cooling. I could be wrong but the Tula is in a blue stick and a pink stick as well. 😅

I agree with you on the coverage with the powder foundation! I was like HOLY GUACAMOLE just going in with one swipe. I’m normally the lightest shade in most lines but not with this one. It is almost white! I was shocked

I'm here in Florida and I found the collection at my local walmart I was able to get the little palette(very pretty)blush,spray that's it.I love that gloss it gave a such a pretty pinky glossy look,I must get my hands on it. That's why I started spraying my setting sprays on a cotton pad and I apply it on my face because I was tired of my eyes and the spray just going all over the place. I like that much better 😌
Ok FYI, I purchased the Wet n Wild eyeshadow palette that goes w/this cute little collection & when I saw it I said , “omg, this is so cute! I need it!” Well, the name of it is called Blooming & all I can say is WHAT A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Wet n Wild completely dropped the ball w/this! It’s a shame too bcz having this cute Spring-y pink color story, it TOTALLY had the potential to be an amazing little hit! I honestly couldn’t believe how bad the shadows were! They suck so bad! I don’t think Wet n Wild has ever made worse formulated eyeshadows EVER! They’re so bad that they don’t even transfer from your finger to swatch them - & the prettiest duo-chrome shade actually came with hard pan! But scratching the top layer didn’t help! If you want to get any type of color payoff you have to wet your finger or brush but only for the hard pan shade & don’t expect it blend either. Another is a pressed glitter & the last 2 are very unpigmented. One is a matte peachy-cream shade which could’ve been so pretty & the last is supposed to be a satin finish babydoll pink but its not an ugly pink, it’s a soft wearable pink. Too bad I couldn’t get any on my finger to swatch it. You can’t get shit out of these eyeshadows. I’m so disappointed in wet n Wild as a company bcz I can’t believe that they even launched this. WHO decided that this was suitable to sell???
I’m definitely going to email them & ask them what the hell were they thinking? What ever happened to the amazing eyeshadow formula they came out with in their 8 pan palettes several yrs ago? Nothing has compared to the quality of those since.
The blush & gloss were nice but that doesn’t make up for the shit shadows & the setting spray that nearly blinds you.

I can't wait to get my hand on the elf sticks ugh forgot the name but they are like a doup for the Tula under eye cooling/Brighting sticks that come in the blue and pink packaging also. I have the blue and use it under my eyes every time I wear makeup. I use it before and after applying my makeup depending on what I'm feeling that day. ❤️

Really hard to get wet and wild in the UK, I do wish it was more readily available.
I roll Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer around my face including under my eyes and blend it in. I set it lightly by tapping not rubbing with Lancôme Dual Finish Powder. I always wait until the last minute to apply makeup before work, so the roller concealer & pressed powder makeup it fast and easy to apply even in the car.
I use the Blooming spray in this video and it is a daily staple..love it!..it really does give a beautiful glow and makes my makeup looks FLAWLESS!..I love the whole Blooming collection..I use them on the daily..GREAT products for the price..I also use the Elf Camo powder..it is amazing!

I've been reading so many articles and watching a lot videos of lately on the whole concealer or powder first thing, so I couldn't believe that you were talking about this topic since I've been basically researching it. From what I found, the rule is creams go before powders. So primer, foundation, concealer and then your setting powder. I got pretty confused when it comes to cream blush or cream bronzer since I'm a big cream person rather than powder products due to my dry skin and I like dewy over matte. I would suppose that the rules would still be the same as in creams before powders ... So I guess if your using cream blush/cream bronzer it would go primer, foundation, concealer, cream bronzer, cream blush and so on. At least that's what I have found while reading and watching videos on this subject.
Love the cookies and dreams putty primer. I tried the og few yrs ago but it didn’t really do anything for me. But this one AMAZING…. It works so well and is so creamy. I have a back up just in case they don’t make it a permanent item. I use it almost everyday.
I do concealer under powder foundation. Actually any cream products under powder foundation. I have dry skin - I’m 53 - and I really like the Camo powder foundation.
I’m also a powder foundation girl, and I love the L’Oreal True Match Minerals powder foundation. It can easily build up to full coverage, plus their shade range has options for pale girls like me! I always do my eyes and concealer prior to powder foundation. Add a little elf HD powder, and I feel like my skin appears flawless. 💁🏻♀️

Okay so bare minerals has a powder concealer been using for YEARS! I use well-rested and even use it with liquid foundation 🤍🤍🤍
I use the Miloni Powder Foundation as my face powder and spot my dark circles with my Camo concealer and I'm 70 and been told my skin looks flawless and smooth so I have quit wearing liqud foundation some times I'll wear bbcream but for every day just the powder foundation

Kelly I have crazy dry skin like. Have to spray my face throughout the day with a face mist always. And I know that your skin is also very dry. I am 50% German 50% Irish I have red hair the whole thing and my skin is extremely dry do you honestly think that this would work for me I’m asking because you’ve tried it and your skin is also very dry and I trust your opinion 100% I already have the product so it’s not like a matter of buying it or not it’s a matter of wearing it or not

I think why the powder foundation didn’t work as well with the sponge is because of all the concealer. If it’s a full coverage powder foundation, I would have liked to have seen how it covered the blemishes without the concealer under. I’ve used powder foundations for years and they have always done a good job covering blemishes without concealer.
First thing which came to My mind is that bareminerals powdered concealer, which is great to make undereye area even more bright after concealing... Maybe that works on top of powder foundation, but i'd do concealer first. Honestly i dont usually like powder foundations for my extra dry skintype 😌✌️

I have very dry skin and the powder foundation still works great! Concealer first (still trying to find one that covers dark eye bags) but the buffing and finishing powder create a very clean look.

I do not apply eye shadow, etc. before my face makeup. I always apply basic face makeup before any other makeup.
Love your videos💕, just a suggestion to please turn your lights down so we can see more of how the makeup actually looks on skin . The lights wash everything out sadly so it's hard to see
I just use my powder foundation as concealer. Just use a tiny brush & spot conceal with a little extra foundation.

You should use a q-tip to put concealer onto your blemishes instead of using the applicator directly onto them because you pick up the bacteria from your blemishes and then put it back into the concealer tube. Something someone once told me.

If you love a spray but not the sprayer, save a sprayer from one you love that fits, trim tube on sprayer if necessary to fit new bottle and boom! Spray you love with sprayer you love, no more water gun!
Whenever I don’t like sprayers I just use a different bottle from an old mist that I do like 😉

I use fenty powder and prime and conceal first then let it dry then do the powder foundation but always use a finsh powder
Probably just put that sprsy in a different bottle, but it is annoying when products are harsh to a spray.
