He does seem to be a complete fraud. He claimed to have been in prison with the Krays but he was only 9 years old when they were in the prison he was claiming. He also claimed to have been found not guilty in 19 seperate trials that the media did not report on at all and for which there doesnt seem to be any court records or witnesses. This man seems to have been a fantasist.

I went to daves birthday bash 2 years ago at his castle in South London, and boy what a night it was, the power this guy's got is unbelievable people had drove 3 400 miles to get there, house was ramming and his club was ramming he's a good geezer, was a top night, I'll never forget the 3 hour hungover drive lol

Another great interview James, I've seen many many interviews with Dave Courtney over the years, having been a doorman most of my adult life i can relate to that side of things and he always gives me a giggle. ......but him talking about his depression, pain and a real serious side that you brought out at the later stages of the interview were brilliant, enjoyed this one immensely. ..really growing as an interviewer mate keep up the good work. ....p.s. the greying temples are a nice touch 😂😂😂😂

Only found these interviews a few weeks ago. Very good. The one guy I would love to have seen James interview unfortunately isn't with us now, the much respected "Wilf Pine". What an interesting bloke. Ron Kray dedicated his book to him. He was as much at home on the streets of London as he was on the streets of New York where he was with the Genovese Crime family.

Another fantastic interview with one of the biggest legends .i love dave Courtney a man thats lived it breathed it sent it packaging a proper old school with respect and morals like back in the day not like these cardboards we have today with all the init is is blurd bollocks walking about with there arses hanging out and a hood up in fkn july 😅 theses original guys had connections in high places keeping low profiles this lot now some 8 stone wet through pulling a knife rather than losing face on the cobbles in a one to one straighner.

I met Dave once when I lived in Plumstead.
I was on my bike and I 'oi oi'd' him, we chatted then he invited me and my bird at the time round to his drum. We spent a funny couple of hours with Dave at his place.
His little one was running round (in the buff), we was smoking and playing music and watching his promo movies. You know having a right laugh.
So my conclusion of having actually you know, met the guy and been invited into his literal castle with kids and all sorts around is...
Everyone here talking shit about Dave Courtney clearly hasn't met the guy, the shit they are talking is just repetition of shit other arseholes have been talking.
Dave is one of those guys who shines, a rough diamond, like me. Dave's alright, a good bloke honour among theives type. I liked him more, in the 3 or 4 hours we were there, than most people I meet today.
As for the other 'firms' (dead language btw, 'firms' now are comedy fronts for serious criminality as opposed to the old school firms from yesteryear), does their opinion matter?
We liked him he even gave us a couple of his books.
