A first definitely feels like a lot right now but clearly the oilers are trying to go deep and a late first is not much different than a second at this day and age. If the oilers get bumped early, then this definitely looks worse on Kenny Hollands part. Not sure how else the oilers are going to make moves now with the cap being so tight
I agree. We're definitely grasping at straws here. And ultimately, with all of these types of trades, ratings are kind of redundant. Value is only TRULY established after you can analyze a player's impact. Time will tell. But I don't know. I just don't see this trade as pushing Edmonton over the edge. Maybe it isn't the most significant deal they make, but again, time will tell.
