Nice drive... I understand the gear grinding... drove one in Italy. Jjust like the Porsche 914... gears where clipped too. The gate prevented this,it was a crap shoot on finding that gear. Definitely Arizona,,,, more so Scottsdale. I could be wrong. I love these ol Ferrari's with the electric click of the fuel pump to the manual pull out choke. Now everything is all electronic and stupid. Just to see an exotic broken down on the side of the road again and help fix it, makes my heart flutter.
Issue with the lusso and most old Ferrari's the gear box needs to warm up.. If you dont get the clutch to the floor and shift quickly you will get that every time. I keep forgetting that im driving a 50 year old car.. Once it warms up after 5 miles or so it smooth as silk.
Wanna have the same driving experience for only 40 Grand, try the nice Fiat 2300S Coupé Abarth 2+2 with Lampredi hemi inline 6 engine sounds similar and goes similar without costing more than whole greece :-)
Strange you comment was flagged as spam??? It is good advice. Seafoam or Marvel Mystery oil is also good to add to the fuel to lube the top end. You can still buy ethanol free gas, but it is getting hard to find anymore.
Would this happen to be the very same Ferrari once owned by Sam Cooke and then latterly Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys? Would love to see Sam Cooke's old Ferrari. Great video thanks!
I can't believe he reversed that $million car out of that garage without someone watching. A quad bike on one side and a nasty door frame on the other ... and no right-hand door mirror!! A very expensive accident waiting to happen..... OUCH!! Is this lovely car in safe hands? Hmmm
I would still get the Lambo Islero and have enough money over to buy a house or two. Islero had 4 wheel independent suspension, the Lusso doesn't. I don't know if the Lusso had 4 wheel disc brakes, the real may be drums. Oh and the Islero had that great V12 4 cam engine that put about 80 HP more than this one.
It's funny how all these great cars end up in oldmen's garages who wear baseball caps and running shoes trying to look like 14 year olds in a Ferrari meant for Marcello Mastroianni! Laughable...LOL.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment in time in your gorgeous Italian Stallion!
Ok, it is warmed up. Now step on it! It needs it.
My God, the startup is just pure SOUND!!!!
Fantastic I really appreciate classics like this.
2020 still watching this anyone?
Me
That car is thing of beauty! the sound along just put a massive smile on my face thank you :)
How proud you must have been to have driven it 400 miles in flip flops. Is that why you kept on missing 3rd gear?
Fantastic video, thanks for posting this!
THANK YOU FOR UP LORD THIS VIDEO!!!!! I LOVE 250 GTL GREATINGS FROM ITALY.
"That's not good, being passed by a Prius" LOL!
Thanks for sharing - a very beautiful classic. Nice to see it cruising.

I like the officially obsessed guy, don't worry it will be with you forever! Oh the glorious Lusso!
Not too shabby
Berlinetta Lusso, considered by many to be the most beautiful Ferrari built. Yet, you never see it after the first couple of minutes.
O
Yes it is
Nice.
At 4:16 in the video, you can see Pinnacle Peak on the left. Pinnacle Peak is in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The FUEL pumps!

Nice places, where is it? )
Looks like close to Phoenix/Scottsdale.
Funny my Jaguar XJS V12 Starter sounds just like this
What part of Arizona?

Nope
+RiffsGarage OK thanks for the info...attitude.
@@riffsgarage this car worth 1 million dollars
Hmm, I would have thought the garden would be bigger than that... :0)
long paved driveway...
Wonderful car, I'd be too scared to drive it in traffic. Typical syncro noise when cold, gearbox shifts better as the oil warms up.
Placing the camera with the mirror in the way was dumb. Live and learn.
IF I EVER HAD THE MONEY THIS HERE IS THE ONE I'D BUY......LOVELY STYLING.TOO BAD IT DOESN'T HAVE 4 SEATS.....
what the hell do you do for a day job?
I can't believe he reversed that $million car out of that garage without someone watching. A quad bike on one side and a nasty door frame on the other ... and no right-hand door mirror!!

He hasn’t broken it in over 45 years so 🤷
probably new mexico
2:34... How could you hurt this absolute beauty?!? Please dont take your foot off the clutch too early again...
what was that ????? 2:32
DA BEARS!
I love the car, but quit babying it. Stand on it, believe me it can take it.

It doesn't perform remotely as well as modern Ferraris, but it's still very cool.

we need more illigal immigrants, so rich people can afrod more expensive things
Who says you have to dress like an old fart when your an old fart? I give him credit for trying to stay young in spirit. :)

Ya know what really grinds my gears? Rich old farts driving cool cars and grinding the gears. He should give this car to me and get a Buick!
its an old car, he cant afford a new one .....lol
I drove it 400 miles in flip flops
Don't like it..would trade it for a more modern sports car
