You're welcome! I looked for the same myself and was surprised that no one had done a comparison, so I decided to do it myself. :)

It's not shrinkage. Dwarven Forge used a 25 mm sized squares for their Dungeon and Caverns (rather than 1 inch which is 25.4mm). I believe the newer forest and city sets use 1"... so you will always have a mismatch with some DF tiles. You can print at 95% (I think) for the 1 inch tile systems to get it closest to DF if you have a deep investment.
As far as compatibility, having the wall on or off the tile is fairly easy to transition. Even Fat Dragon Games now has sets with wall-off-the-tile. If you look at the Dragonshire and newer Dragonlock dungeon sets, they are fully compatible with OpenLock and Warlock because they have added walls that are off the floors. That's where everyone is going these days, with Dwarven Forge being the lone hold out (sort of -- some cavern pieces now have off-tile walls). So full compatibility between Dragonlock, OpenLock and Warlock is here.

To be honest it's why I went with Warlock tiles. You get more pieces in their sets than dwarven forge and way more tile spaces with the walls being off the floor tiles. I built a pretty sizable dungeon with my very first Warlock tile set with multiple rooms and hallways, for $80 (half wall sets, the full wall sets are $100). Then I looked at the standard Dwarven Forge set that's $120 that you could only build a few rooms with half the tile space being taken up by walls......easy choice really. I bought another Warlock dungeon set and two of their town/village sets and can make enormous builds with them. only cost me $320. I couldn't even get three standard Dwarven Forge sets with that much and probably couldn't build half as much as I could with my Warlock set. And the kicker is all 4 of the sets I got have the same flippable floor tiles with wood on one side and stone on the other. Which means I can use all the floor tiles that are in the Dungeon set with the Town set and vis versa. I just wouldn't have enough walls for all of them but could get more of them with their expansion sets. Which I did get one of. So the point is, if i had a ton of disposable income then Dwarven Forge tiles would be great. But since i'm a gaming dad with a family, I want as much bang for my buck as I can get. Warlock sets even come with special clips to snap their tiles to Open Lock tiles. Thought that was pretty awesome since I plan on getting a 3D printer for my minis instead of buying them one at a time like I have been. If I print my own tiles too I already have the clips to merge the two.

How do the clips line up between Warlock Tiles and Openlock
